Getting the Girl
1404
1405
1406

* Michelle unlocks the door and announces, "Hall's Open!"

* Orlann limps in. He is leaning on his cane and waves cheerfully at a matronly lady and her four children as he enters. "G'nite ma'am." He looks around in the Hall.

* Michelle returns behind the bar. She's wearing a red dress with sleeves which flare from the elbows out to the cuffs. The dress is cinched around the waist with a braid of red and black cord, tied off on her left hip. Two red clips hold her hair back, and her moon earring hangs darkly from her right ear.

* Bluestar enters, wearing mostly black with silver buckles and accents, and his cloak which seems to contain all of the starry sky in its depths. He does not take off the cloak as he enters. "Evening, Michelle. Whisky, bottle, clean glass."

<Michelle> Good evening Orlann, Bluestar. Can I get either one of you anything?

<Orlann> ::choses a stool near the bar:: Would it be much trouble, ma'am, to get a mug of good brown beer and a little bit of something to eat?"

* Bluestar furrows his eyebrows, glares, and repeats himself. "Whisky. Bottle. Clean glass."

* Michelle places a glass on the bar, pouring a few fingers into it from a bottle before depositing the bottle on the bar as well. "There you go Bluestar."

<Bluestar> Thank you.

* Lisl enters, looking grumpy, and beelines it for a stool at the bar. "'Kick, 'chelle. Please." The "please" is added as an almost-grudging afterthought.

<Michelle> No problem at all Orlann. ::fills a mug from the multitude of taps and sets it on the bar in front of Orlann.:: Let me take care of everyone else and I'll see what I can scrounge up in the kitchen.

* Michelle nods and carefully fills a stone mug, gently setting the mug on the bar in front of Lisl, "Want to talk about it?"

<Orlann> ::nods amiably and takes a long swallow of his beer::

* Bluestar pours himself a tumbler half full of whisky and knocks back a healthy slug. "If only we'd known the recipe for getting some thing culturally valuable out of a human civilization was to stick them on an island chain far away from everyone else, we'd have started doing it thousands of years before."

* Michelle smiles at Bluestar, "I take it you like the whiskey?"

<Lisl> ::waves a hand in dismissal:: Wrong side of bed. Well, no... yanked out of bed in the middle of the night to go chasing around in the woods for some damn foolishness. Nothing important.

* Meghan heads into the Inn, Abby on her hip. She sets the little girl down once inside and heads to the bar, Abby trailing her. "Evening everyone."

<Bluestar> Indeed I do, Michelle.

* Michelle brightens at seeing Abby, "Meghan, Abby! How are you this evening?"

* Kevil comes in, looking tired and slightly harried. He is wearing a cream-colored tunic with burgundy piping, over slacks of dark brown. He chooses a stool and sets his lute on the floor, leaning it against the bar. "Good evening, friends!"

<Meghan> Fine thanks Chelle.

<Michelle> Hey Kevil. How's the family?

* Bluestar casts a glance over at Meghan and Abby as they arrive. "Good evening, Misses Lore."

<Meghan> ::Abby bounces in front of the bar:: Chel!

<Orlann> ::looks up from his beer:: Good evening, Miss Meghan, Miss Gail... ::he smiles::

* Meghan glances to Bluestar and nods "Evening Bluestar."

<Michelle> I was about to go into the kitchen for some food, is anyone else interested in any? And can I get anyone else drinks before I disappear?

<Meghan> ::Abby spins from Orlann to Kevil and back again finally settling on Kevil for the moment. She runs over to him::

<Genin> ::Genin takes his customary seat, produces a long roll of canvas from his bag, and begins sketching::

* Lisl takes several swallows of mulekick, sighing as she sets the mug down again, blinking a glint of gold from her eyes. "Haaaah. Much better. I almost feel civil now."

<Kevil> Quite well, thank you, Lady Michelle. Loria has guests this evening, and so I chose to absent myself. ::he grins:: I will take mulled wine, if you would be so kind.

* Orlann smiles wryly. "I am overthrown..." He puts one hand to his head in a slightly overly-dramatic gesture.

<Lisl> Now then... evening, all. ::takes a moment to look around:: Corporal, how's the leg doing?

* Michelle picks up a goblet and fills it from a blue and white tap, only to have steaming red wine pour into the goblet. "Here you are Kevil."

<Meghan> Could I get a glass of red wine as well Chelle?

<Michelle> Mulled or not Meghan?

<Meghan> Not, thank you.

* Michelle puts a wine glass on the bar and opens a bottle of wine, filling the glass and handing it to Meghan, "There you go."

<Orlann> ::bows from his seat:: I am well, Mistress Lisl. Only a little stiff, when the weather turns on us.

* Bluestar watches the interactions, fingers toying with the lip of his not-quite-forgotten tumbler.

<Kevil> ::laughs as he scoops Abby up:: Hello, starling! ::he grins at Orlann:: Pine not, good sir - the lady's heart is wide enough, d'va?

<Meghan> ::Abby hugs Kevil tightly:: Miss Kevil!

<Michelle> ::Seeing that everyone seems to be settled for the moment Michelle disappears into the kitchen::

* Kevil hugs Abby back gently. "I missed you too." He sips his wine, and deftly pulls the goblet away as the girl reaches for it. "No, this is mine. When Lady Michelle returns, we shall get you something for you, d'va?"

* Sabrina steps up into the Hall, pulling the door closed behind her. Her mandolin is on her back and she smiles cheerfully as she heads to the bar.

<Meghan> ::Abby pouts and then grins and hugs Kevil again. She turns to look around the bar and waves at Orlann:: Lanny!

<Orlann> ::raises his mug to her:: Good evening, young miss.

* Lisl nods, her expression rueful. "That'll probably be with you for awhile, unfortunately. Ah, and your admirer is back." She grins.

<Orlann> Master Bran is a skilled healer. ::he looks a little solemn:: I confess, I am surprised at my recovery. I was troubled to think I might never hold a sword again.

<Meghan> ::Abby wiggles in Kevil's arms:: Down pease

* Michelle returns with a tray carrying the usual loaf of bread and condiments as well a bowl of rice and a bowl of pickled vegetables. She sets the tray down on the bar near Orlann. "Here you go. Everyone feel free to help yourselves, there's plenty more back there."

* Sabrina takes a seat at the bar.

* Kevil sets Abby on the floor. "Off you go."

* Orlann helps himself to some bread and a few pickled peppers.

<Lisl> Where there's life, there's hope. ::toasts him with her mug:: 'Course, it helps if you're too d-- ::glances at Abby: --darn stubborn to give up on yourself.

<Meghan> ::Abby heads over to Orlann, leaning against him as suddenly the hem of her dress has become very interesting to her.::

* Orlann looks down at the little girl and grins. "Oh, yes... there is always hope."

* Meghan sips her wine and watches Abby

<Genin> ::Genin looks up from his sketching and notices Sabrina. Putting his canvas back into his bag:: Hello again Sabrina! Nice to see you.

* Sabrina takes her mandolin and rests it against the bar. "Michelle could I get some water please?"

<Sabrina> ::glances over and smiles:: Hello Genin. Good to see you too. How are you?

* Michelle nods and fills a mug for Sabrina, "Here you go."

<Sabrina> Thanks ::She takes the mug and drinks most of it::

* Lisl watches Orlann with Abby for a moment, speculatively, and sighs before taking another swig of 'kick.

<Genin> I'm doing well. Thank you.

* Sabrina smiles to him "Wonderful"

<Kevil> ::to Lisl:: You look tired, Huntress. Long day?

<Meghan> ::Abby looks up and tugs on Orlann's pant leg::

<Orlann> ::looks down:: Yes, young miss?

<Meghan> ::She lifts her arms:: Up pease

* Orlann picks up the little girl and sets her on his knee.

<Lisl> Gods, yes. ::scrubs a hand through her hair:: Woken up in the middle of the night for a bloody wild goose chase. Unfortunately without the blood.

<Orlann> ::looks over at Lisl:: Amazing, Mistress Lisl. I was unaware that you *got* tired. ::he gives her a sly smile::

<Meghan> ::Abby peers over the items on the bar and then turns her head, looking curiously to Bluestar::

* Bluestar smiles dryly. "And who would dare rouse the mighty Lisl from her rest?"

* Sabrina takes her water and mandolin and goes over to Genin's table. "Like some company?"

<Genin> My pleasure! :He stands:

<Kevil> ::grimaces sympathetically:: And yet you forsake your rest to grace us with your presence! We are forever in your debt. ::he smiles impishly and half-bows from his seat::

* Sabrina smiles and sits. "I wanted to thank you again for the picture. It's very lovely."

<Lisl> ::snorts at Orlann:: You're one to talk. You're always the one waiting on the porch when I get there for practice.

* Bluestar turns and eyes Abby.

<Orlann> ::bows from the neck:: It has been long and long again since I had a partner of such skill to spar with. I would not be so rude as to keep you waiting.

<Meghan> ::Abby watches Bluestar, smiling tentatively at him::

<Lisl> ::shakes her head:: No "forsaking" about it. Once I'm up, I'm up. Wasted half the-- ::glances warily at Abby again:: --blasted night on that idiot monster-hunt. No way I was getting to bed by the time the sun was half-up.

<Genin> ::Genin smiles:: Again, it was my pleasure.

* Sabrina smiles and sips her water "How is work coming?"

* Kevil raises an eyebrow, then looks enlightened. "Ah, I had wondered why my bruises had finally healed, and there is the answer: The Huntress has found herself other prey!" He grins and raises his glass to Orlann.

* Bluestar keeps his gaze on Abby, nodding once in acknowledgement.

<Michelle> Careful Kevil, she might decide she wants a matched set.

<Meghan> ::Abby swings her gaze to Meghan::

* Meghan glances to Abby and then Bluestar and back again.

<Genin> Work is going well. I have more than enough to take home for a quite a profit. Mostly I am just enjoying myself now.

* Lisl takes another swig of 'kick and grins evilly at Kevil. "You're welcome to join us, now you're back. Hells, bring your Master Nabihazan along, I'm sure he'd be glad of the diversion."

<Genin> ::Genin looks to Sabrina's mandolin:: Will you be playing tonight?

<Sabrina> I had not thought about it. I can if you would like me to.

<Kevil> ::snorts:: No doubt Diya would enjoy such a session. He also enjoys being up to watch the sun rise. I may love him, and still recognize that he is mad, d'va?

* Lisl laughs. "Slugabed."

<Genin> oh...not on my account surely. Even a minstrel deserves her rest.

<Sabrina> Perhaps will your free time we can have lunch again?

<Sabrina> ::Smirks:: I am always willing to play a song for a friend.

* Orlann grins. "But sunrise is the best part of the day... it is only later that all the disappointments come." For an instant, his expression is bleak.

<Genin> Anytime at all! As I've said, it has been the highlight of my visit here.

<Bluestar> ::Bluestar's eyes seem to lose focus for a moment, and then rapidly his spine stiffens and his fist tightens around the tumbler, his glare locked in on Abby::

<Meghan> ::Abby blinks and buries her face in Orlann's chest, hugging tightly to him::

<Kevil> ::grins and takes another swallow of wine:: I will pass on the invitation to him, if you like. In seriousness, I know that I am not a sufficient partner to keep his skill honed. Where do you meet, now?

<Genin> It would be a treat Sabrina.

* Michelle quirks an eyebrow at Bluestar, then glances at Abby.

* Orlann looks down at the girl in his lap and puts one arm around her protectively.

<Kevil> ::eyes Orlann, then smiles faintly:: Ah, but I find if I sleep late enough, I may miss some disappointments altogether.

<Genin> But I'm afraid there is quite a bit of noise in here. :: he frowns::

* Meghan stands and quickly takes Abby from Orlann "Excuse us" She dashes into the kitchen with Abby.

<Lisl> Out at Crow's Nest, Healer Bran's place. What does he fight, do you know? I know you said he's a falconer... most of the ones I know prefer bow.

* Bluestar watches mother and child leave, a taint of displeasure on his face.

* Sabrina nods "Perhaps later. WHen things are quieter."

* Orlann stares after Meghan, looking both startled and confused.

<Lisl> What...? ::frowns in puzzlement, looking from Meghan and Abby to Orlann and around, her gaze falling on Bluestar with a quirked eyebrow.::

<Genin> Hehe...does it get quieter in here?

* Bluestar has a sip from his tumbler of whisky.

* Sabrina laughs softly. "I think during the day, between lunch and dinner maybe"

<Bluestar> A small lesson in manners and proper behavior. Pay it no mind. The girl is unharmed.

<Kevil> ::nods:: Bow, yes, though he can practice that well enough alone. For hand-to-hand, he fights with matched sabers - you saw the weapon, no doubt, when you came to Alanis. ::he gestures the curve of the blade with one hand:: It is a favored weapon among the Rangers who do not choose my mother's path.

* Michelle sighs, "How old does she have to be to be admitted to the school Bluestar?"

* Orlann narrows his pale blue eyes, looking at Bluestar.

* Meghan emerges a few moments later with Abby. She settles back onto her stool and reaches for her wine.

<Bluestar> It varies from pupil to pupil. We had one student who was six, but that was special case. The younger Miss Lore might be a similar case, however.

<Lisl> ::neutrally:: Ah. ::nodding to Bluestar and turning to Kevil again:: Yes, I did-- matched? ::glances at Orlann:: Well, that's bound to keep things interesting. Whatever happened to good old sword and shield? Or hand-and-a-half?

* Michelle nods, looking at Abby again.

<Kevil> ::laughs:: Surely you would not expect me to have in my circle anyone of merely *ordinary* ability, Huntress?

<Orlann> ::with a last glower at Bluestar:: Shields are a weakness.

* Bluestar gets around to meeting Orlann's gaze. "Yes? Something you wish to say?"

<Lisl> ::sighs:: I can dream...

<Kevil> ::chuckles:: Be only glad he is currently without a bondmate. With his falcon to wing, it is impossible to blind or sneak up on him.

<Meghan> ::Abby squirms from Meg's arms and once on the floor walks back over to Orlann. She hugs his leg and leans against it, being careful to avoid looking at Bluestar::

<Lisl> ::grins at Orlann:: That depends on how you use it... remind me to borrow Sassia's buckler, next time we practice.

* Orlann picks Abby up again, his mouth pressed flat. "I'd take it as a kindness, sir, if you did not frighten the child so much."

<Genin> ::Genin leans over the table and says softly:: These folk are warriors?

<Bluestar> I'm certain you would.

* Meghan glances to Bluestar "It's ok Orlann. Abby was in the wrong and she understands that now."

* Lisl opens her mouth and shuts it again, letting Bluestar deal in his own fashion.

* Sabrina leans close as well, speaking softly. "In one way or another most of them are, yes."

* Orlann turns his back on Bluestar and looks down at the girl. "If you say, ma'am." He bounces Abby on his knee.

<Genin> And that Kevil over there, He is your teacher?

* Sabrina nods "That he is"

<Meghan> ::Abby giggles, the incident with Bluestar forgotten::

<Kevil> ::nod cordially at Orlann:: I fear I have not yet made your acquaintance. Please allow me to correct the error - I am Master Bard Kevil Talarin, at your service, sir.

<Genin> hmm

<Orlann> Master Bard... ::he bows from the neck again:: Corporal Orlann Drilgar, at yours.

<Meghan> ::Abby turns and points to Kevil:: Kevil!

<Kevil> ::bows elegantly, considering he remains seated:: Corporal. A pleasure.

<Kevil> ::smiles at Abby:: Yes, starling. Very good.

<Meghan> ::Abby pokes Orlann in the chest:: Lanny!

* Orlann smiles at the little girl. "Yes... and little Gail..." He pats Abby on the head.

<Meghan> ::She points to Meghan:: Mama ::then to Michelle:: Chel

* Lisl takes another swallow of 'kick, muttering something into her mug.

* Sabrina watches Genin for a long moment, smiling at him.

* Michelle smiles, "I remember when she used to call me Mama."

<Meghan> ::Abby turns and points at Sabrina:: Bena

<Genin> ::Uncertain Genin gives Sabrina a half smile and raises an eyebrow::

* Sabrina grins at him and then glances over and waves a bit at Abagail.

<Genin> ::Genin follows Sabrina's gaze::

<Meghan> ::abby settles back contently on Orlann's lap and plays with the skirt of her dress again::

* Lisl drains her mug and sets it down, tapping her fingers quietly on the bar and contemplating a refill.

<Orlann> ::almost to himself:: Mistress Meghan had better watch out, Gail, or I'm going to steal you away. ::he grins down at her::

* Bluestar gives himself a refill from the bottle.

* Meghan smirks "You would not be the first to try Sir."

* Sabrina takes her mandolin and begins to play softly.

<Orlann> ::smiles shyly at Meghan:: She's a lovely girl, ma'am.

* Meghan nods "Thank you."

<Genin> ::Genin smiles broadly and settles back in his chair to listen

<Lisl> Hm. ::squints into her mug, which pops open an eye on the rim and squints back:: 'Chelle, could I get another half, here?

<Michelle> Certainly Lisl. ::Takes Lisl's mug and fills it half way:: There you go.

* Meghan watches Orlann and Abby for a moment. "Orlann I was wondering, might I take you up on your story offer? I am sure that the children would love to have you visit and tell one or two."

* Sabrina smiles at Genin and continues to play.

<Orlann> I'd be honored with their attention, ma'am.

<Lisl> Thanks. ::lifts her mug to take another swallow and pauses as she finds that it's still watching her:: Listen, you, I'm in no mood. I'd poke it, but I've no wish to start another silverware war.

<Meghan> Wonderful.

<Lisl> ::Lisl's mug opens both eyes, blinks at her, and gazes in soulful sadness for a moment before quickly closing both eyes and behaving like a proper mug again:: Thank you. ::takes a swallow::

<Orlann> ::shakes his head:: That is dreadful unnerving, sometimes.

* Michelle smiles, "Be thankful Abagail isn't older or she might start playing games with them the way Yb sometimes does."

<Kevil> One grows used to it.

<Meghan> ::Abby snuggles against Orlann and yawns::

* Orlann looks down at the little girl and hums a few bars of a lullaby. His voice is not particularly good.

* Kevil manages to look away before he winces.

<Genin> Your music soothes the child I think

<Lisl> Ah, you get used to it. Certainly makes Erdian hard to forget. But I'm just not in the mood, today. ::takes another swallow::

* Sabrina glances to Abby and nods. She begins to pick out a softer song going along with Orlann's humming

* Lisl takes another swallow of 'kick, putting the mug down and leaning her head on one hand as she listens to the music.

* Orlann rocks the child gently, his pale blue eyes shimmering for a moment with unshed tears. "Ma'am? I think the young miss is asleep."

* Meghan glances over and smiles "I'll take her if you'd like?"

* Orlann lifts Abby up gently and deposits her in Meghan's arms. "She'll sleep easier if we move her now, I think." He wipes the sleeve of one arm across his eyes.

* Kevil gives Orlann a curious glance, then politely turns back to his wine.

* Meghan smiles to Orlann "She likes you a lot."

<Orlann> I've always been fond of children. ::he averts his eyes a moment:: Lina's boy was about her age, and I was quartered with them for half a year.

* Meghan nods "You are always welcome to visit. Abby loves being around you."

* Sabrina slowly let's her song come to an end.

<Orlann> ::looks at Meghan for a moment:: Your young man might not care for my presence, ma'am. With his permission, I'll visit.

<Meghan> My young man? ::she smiles:: I hadn't realized I had one?

* Kevil looks around, an eyebrow quirking.

<Meghan> You need no ones permission but my own, and you have that.

<Genin> Truly magnificent Sabrina.

<Orlann> ::his other eyebrow goes up:: Was I mistaken? I thought the young lord was... ::he gestures aimlessly::

* Sabrina nods "Thank you. It's always easy to play here."

<Meghan> He *is* just a friend.

<Genin> Do you dance as well?

<Sabrina> ::smirks:: Not as well as I play.

* Bluestar chuckles to himself as he helps himself to another swallow of whisky.

<Orlann> ::his mouth twitches:: As you say, ma'am.

<Genin> Ah..so you DO have limits! ::he teases::

<Sabrina> ::Laughs:: Yes, I do.

<Kevil> ::muttering to himself as he finishes his wine:: He is still *here*?

<Meghan> He is ::She smiles at Kevil:: I saw him a few days ago.

<Kevil> ::makes a wry face, as he had not intended to be overheard, then shrugs:: I hope he is treating you well. ::in a half-teasing, half-serious tone::

<Meghan> Very well ::She smirks:: I appreciate your concern brother Kevil.

<Kevil> ::ignoring her sarcasm:: Well for him.

* Meghan rolls her eyes and rocks Abby gently.

* Orlann raises his eyebrow even higher. "Perhaps it is you, Master Bard, that I must ask for permission to visit the lady?"

* Meghan laughs

<Kevil> ::laughs:: As she said - you need ask the permission of none but herself. I fear the young lord... awakened my mistrust.

<Kevil> Though I believe the lady would prefer I leave him alone, as well. ::winks at Meghan::

* Meghan grins at Kevil "You make me feel loved my dearest."

* Kevil bows to Meghan floridly.

<Orlann> ::his dark skin grows darker:: Forgive me, I am still unused to the customs of the city. At home, I would not dare to visit a lady without the permission of her father or protector. Not unless I wished to be called out the next day.

* Meghan nods and glances to Kevil "Well Kevil, what do you think. Can he visit me?"

<Kevil> Ah? Well, such care is commendable, perhaps... ::smiles:: But truly, the lady you wish to visit is Abby, is it not? And Abagail's most staunch protector, without doubt, is her own mother. If Meghan says you may visit the child, then the permission you seek is yours. ::he grins::

* Meghan chuckles

<Genin> Genin smiles.

* Michelle smiles.

<Genin> I think your teacher has the right of it.

* Sabrina glances to Genin and nods "Yes"

* Orlann laughs, shaking his head. "Very well, ma'am. I will come and visit."

<Bluestar> As entertaining as this latest act of Hill People Come To The City has been, I really must be off. No, don't try to stop me. Good night, everyone.

* Lisl starts slightly, sitting up and glancing around warily.

<Meghan> Good evening Bluestar.

<Michelle> Good night Bluestar. Come back for some more cultural value any time.

* Bluestar exits the Hall without a look around.

<Lisl> Leaving already, Bluestar? Goodnight. ::grins:: Go easy on the furniture.

* Michelle looks out the window, "Last call folks."

* Orlann mutters something in a non-human tongue as Bluestar leaves.

<Genin> I think they will not allow me to return if I don't order something soon.

<Kevil> Speaking of cultural value... I think it is past time for me to pry my wife and children from the adoring hands of her visitors.

<Lisl> I've had more than enough, 'chelle, thanks.

* Lisl raises an amused eyebrow at Orlann, answering him in the same guttural, hissy tongue.

* Sabrina glances to Genin and smiles "I am sure you will be allowed to return. All I ever have is water and they keep letting me come back."

<Genin> You sing. ::he grins::

* Orlann snorts a surprised laugh. "She already knows, Mistress Lisl..."

<Genin> I spill ink on the floor

* Sabrina laughs

* Kevil stands, collects his lute, and bows to the room as a whole. "Good night, my friends! Lisl, I will convey your invitation to Diya, even if he may drag me along. I would have you know what sacrifices I make!" He grins and heads for the door.

<Meghan> Goodnight KEvil

<Michelle> Good night Kevil.

* Sabrina waves at Kevil

<Orlann> Goodnight, Master Bard.

<Lisl> ::grins:: Exactly my point, Corporal. Trust me, there's more to it than first glance.

* Meghan stands. "I should go as well. Get this little girl into bed. Goodnight everyone"

<Lisl> Night, Kevil. And don't talk to me about sacrifices. Mother said she may "drop in" next week.

<Lisl> Night, Meghan.

<Michelle> Good night Meghan. Kiss Abagail goodnight for me.

<Orlann> ::shrugs:: Perhaps there is, but you catch more flies with honey then vinegar. Although I don't know what anyone wants to catch flies *for*...

<Lisl> ::grins at Genin:: Don't worry about it, Master Genin. Lots worse has been spilled on *this* floor.

* Meghan nods "I will Chelle."

<Genin> I suppose they will want to close up now.

* Sabrina stands "Can I walk you home Genin?"

* Orlann reaches into his pocket and pulls out a few copper coins. "Thank you, Mistress Michelle, for the dinner."

<Genin> I would be delighted!

* Meghan heads out with Abby

<Lisl> ::chuckles at Orlann:: Fishing, of course. Tho' I suppose a dead fly can't lay maggots in your meat, either.

<Sabrina> ::smiles:: Whenever you are ready

* Michelle smiles and pushes the coins back, "You're welcome Orlann."

<Genin> An evening of fine entertainment Sabrina. You know...you could make a living at this.

* Lisl yawns and stretches hugely, popping vertebrae audibly. "Right. Time for me to go, too. Bed calls."

<Sabrina> ::she laughs:: Well I do try

<Genin> ::Genin stands and allows Sabrina to walk him to the bottom of the stairs::

* Orlann doesn't touch the coins. "Please, Mistress, don't. I am working again, and I don't feel right about letting Miss Tarri pay my way."

<Michelle> Night Lisl.

<Lisl> ::laughs, pausing at the door:: Oh, take them, Corporal. A spendthrift adventurer named Jel is paying your way.

* Michelle examines Orlann for a moment, then sweeps the coins into the lockbox, "Alright Orlann."

<Sabrina> ::laughs again:: Perhaps next time you can walk me home, more interesting maybe.

* Orlann bows. "Thank you. Good evening, Mistress." He stands and takes up his cane. He limps slowly out of the Hall.

<Genin> My legs are fresh if you are willing

* Lisl shrugs, disappearing out the door.

* Sabrina nods "Always for good company"

<Genin> Then we are off!

* Sabrina heads for the door and out with a wave to MIchelle.

<Michelle> ::waves back::

* Michelle shoos all the dishes into the kitchen, then dims the laps and locks the door behind her.
