* Fosst looks up at the building, and nods as he recognizes it. He's wearing his thick gray cloak with the hood up, and it brushes on the ground after him as he steps in. * Sabrina glances up as the bell above the door rings. She smiles seeing Fosst. "Well hello there." * Fosst nods. "Greetings, Sabrina." He looks up and down at the shelved instruments, and smiles slightly. "Is business doing well?" * Sabrina nods as she places the last of the things in her arms on the shelf. "Yes very, thank you for asking." She walks back around to the front of the store, lightly brushing off her dress. "How are you this beautiful day?" * Fosst shakes his coat a little, and frowns at it. "The word is beautiful, isn't it--I am doing well. I was looking around for a tailor's shop to replace this old coat, and decided to drop by." He looks up, and then glances at the door. "I hope, you have had no more trouble with those--men?" * Sabrina shakes her head a bit. "No. I hope that Felice was able to scare them off enough that they will not bother me anymore. Of course I have been careful not to sing in the square since then." She glances out the window for a moment. "I have something for you. Wait here just one moment." * Fosst cocks his head to the side, and nods. "I will." He eyes a lute in the corner, and goes over to pluck at its strings with childish interest. * Sabrina disappears out the door. Her footsteps can be heard going up the stairs outside of the shop, and her door opening. After a few moments her footsteps can be heard again coming back down, and she reappears inside the shop. She is holding a garment in one arm. * Sabrina holds the garment out to him. It is a much lighter looking cloak than the one Fosst is wearing. It is a dark brown color. <Sabrina> I think it will fit you. * Fosst sets the lute down, and looks surprised as he reaches out and lightly takes the cloak. His face splits into a wide grin. "Many thanks! Exactly, this is what I was looking for." * Sabrina nods, smiling a bit. {You are welcome} * Fosst pats the fabric of the one he's still wearing and hmms. {I'd like very much to put it on--it's a much better coat for these beautiful days.} He holds it back out to Sabrina to take, and quickly slides out of the old cloak. He folds it up, and sets it on a countertop while he tries on the new cloak. * Sabrina watches Fosst, still wearing a soft smile. {How does it fit?} <Fosst> {Aah, it's great! It fits very well. This was most kind of you!} He adjusts the sleeves at the wrists a little. {I'm fond of it already.} He smiles. {Who was the excellent tailor?} <Sabrina> A friend. She was making one for her husband and I asked her if she had enough material to make another. She was happy to help. I have had occasion to sing for her at a party she had, so she was happy to return the favor. * Fosst nods. {I certainly see why she was so pleased to return such a favor. Please give her my gratitude.} ::bows politely:: * Sabrina nods "I will be sure to let her know you like it." She goes behind the counter and grabs her own cloak. "I was about to go out for a walk. Would you like to come?" * Fosst chuckles. "I do like to. I thought, it would take two hours at least to find a tailor's shop, and now my day is free." He picks up his folded-up cloak and tucks it under one arm. * Sabrina nods and leads Fosst out of the shop. She carefully locks the door behind her and heads off in the direction of the river. She walks slowly and after a moment she lifts her face, closing her eyes, and smiles as the sun shines down onto her face. * Fosst walks alongside, and he breathes the air deeply. He looks up at the sky, and appears very calm. "They sky is... very blue, here." * Fosst continues, "Uthgardt's sky is very often stormy. I've been enjoying this more pleasant sky." * Sabrina nods and smiles at Fosst. "I can imagine. I remember my favorite sky was a stormy one. It was a silvery gray color, with streaks of lightning. It was beautiful." * Fosst nods. "My home was near a large, lake, and there was a lot of different kinds of weather. Some of the storms were very bad, but--others were soft, and snow-filled." He hmms. "I rather do have to leave Uthgardt behind, though. I keep thinking about it." * Sabrina glances over at him. "Why did you leave?" * Fosst frowns. "I asked my father if I could go travelling--I didn't want to stay in Uthgardt any longer. Many things, about the people of Uthgardt I did not think I would miss. He, allowed me to travel, and I left quickly on a ship in port." * Sabrina nods. "Does he expect that you will return?" * Fosst replies, "No, he does not. ...At least, not for some time." * Sabrina nods. She smiles to the guard as they leave the city and she turns a bit. The sound of the river can be heard in the distance. * Fosst hmms, and looks around. "Are there many, animals around near the river?" * Sabrina shakes her head a bit. "Not many that I have seen" * Fosst nods, and raises a hand above his eyes while the sun gets a little stronger as he looks about. He lowers it, and asks, "How long have you lived here in Marsymber, Sabrina?" * Sabrina stops as they come to the top of the hill. The river opens out below them. She looks to Fosst "Almost a year now." * Fosst nods, as he looks out over the river, looking thoughtful. "From where did you come, then? Many roads, on water and land, seem to lead to this place." * Sabrina looks back to the river. "I did not come from this world. I came through a portal, from another world." * Fosst looks to her. "Another world?... Oh." He chuckles. {Figuratively, you mean! I see.} * Sabrina blinks and shakes her head. "No. You could not travel to where i came from on a road, or by boat. You would have to go through a magical portal, like the one that sent me here." she looks thoughtful "Like a doorway." * Fosst looks surprised as his expression drops. {Oh! My. Does... er--} "Does this, often happen? These doorways?" * Sabrina shrugs "I'm not sure. I had never seen one before. Even the one I came through was very much a surprise to me." * Fosst asks, "Each? Then it must become difficult to get home, then." He frowns. "Do you make plans to?" * Sabrina shakes her head "Marsember is my home now." She looks out to the river, her face thoughtful. * Fosst smiles at her. "I see. Perhaps, there were things worth parting with, back home?" * Sabrina nods "You could say that." * Fosst looks back out over the river, and thinks. * Sabrina lets out a gentle sigh and sits, pulling her cloak around her. "This is my favorite spot." * Fosst nods. {I see why. ... I don't know much of the geography of Marsember. Are there other rivers here?} * Sabrina shakes her head {I do not think so} * Sabrina looks up at Fosst and smiles, shading her eyes from the sun. {How long do you think you are going to stay here in Marsember, before you continue on with your travels?} * Fosst smiles back, but looks thoughtful. {I honestly don't know many places to travel to. I only knew of Marsember because many trade ships would come and go near my city in Uthgardt whose crew spoke of being here, among other places. I'm becoming fond of Marsember, though...} <Fosst> {I think I would only want to travel with others I've come to know. I realize how much it takes to get used to a new country--I'd need a guide.} * Sabrina nods {I have not gone anywhere but Marsember. Lisl might be a good person to be a guide. She has been lots of places} * Fosst nods, and hmms. {She sounds to have traveled quite a lot--particularly around Uthgardt, at least. I'd be interested to see her more--many of the patrons of the Hall more, really.} He smiles. {Well, all in due time.} * Sabrina nods and stands. {I'm sure any of them would be willing to spend time with you, if you were to request it.} * Fosst helps her to her feet, and shrugs casually. {All things come to pass in time. Do you meet with them frequently?} * Sabrina shrugs away from Fosst's help and turns to brush her cloak off. {I...umm} "I see them often, at the hall. Some of them moreso at the shop." * Fosst nods. "I see. Are they all so--" He pauses, and thinks, scratching his head as he begins to walk. "Unusual?" * Sabrina chuckles as she follows him "We all are in one way or another, are we not?" * Fosst replies, "I must say so, yes. But so--well, unusually unusual, if that is correct." He shakes his head. "I suppose it's not worth worrying about." * Sabrina smiles "They are a very special group of people. You will enjoy getting to know them." <Fosst> Hmm--yes, I remember. ::stops near the Music Box, and turns to Sabrina:: Can you give me directions to the temple Zoya lives in? * Sabrina nods as she opens the door to the shop and leads Fosst in. She goes to the counter and pulls out a blank piece of paper, quickly drawing him a map. She hands it to him, pointing out where the shop is and the rout to the tower. * Fosst examines it, and nods, folding the piece of paper up. He tries repeatedly to slide it into an inner pocket on his new cloak before realizing the pockets are in different locations. He "eheh"s and stows it elsewhere. * Sabrina smiles. {Thank you for your company this afternoon.} * Fosst genuflects. {I enjoyed it as well--thank you for the excellent cloak, and for showing me a good spot to relax by the river.} He straightens, and adjusts his cloak. {Again, please give my thanks to the excellent tailor.} He grins. * Sabrina nods {I will} * Fosst pulls out the map and examines it with a brow raised for a moment before folding it back up again. {Well, I suppose I should go find Zoya's tower. Then I'll have to do something with this old coat.} He hefts it a little for emphasis. {Shall I bring Zoya and Glossaria your greetings, if I see them?} * Sabrina nods {Please do. I'm sure you will have no problem finding your way.} She gasps as the window in the shop shatters. A rock lays on the floor under the window, surrounded by the broken glass. * Fosst pushes at his hair slightly and straightens the braid a little. * Fosst whirls in alarm and looks toward the broken window. * Fosst mutters some foul expletives in Uthgardt as he moves quickly to pull the door wide and try to get a glimpse of who lobbed the rock. * Sabrina goes over to the window, carefully leaning down to pick up the rock. She pulls off a piece of paper that is attached and quickly unfolds it, reading the note. The rock falls from her hands landing near her feet. Her face going white. * Fosst slowly swings the door back, closing it with a soft click. He turns and begins to speak, but stops as he sees Sabrina reading the note. * Sabrina crumples up the note, wincing slightly as she is cut from a piece of the glass. She glances up at Fosst "You should go, in case they come back." <Fosst> "What dos yt say?" * Sabrina looks down at the crumpled up note. "Nothing nice." * Fosst shakes his head, and frowns. {Totally to the contrary! I should stay, in -case- they come back.} He begins to look for a chair. * Sabrina frowns and goes to get a piece of cloth to wrap around her hand. She carefully pulls out the glass before wrapping her hand up. "Fosst please. I am going to go report this to the Dragons. You should go to Zoya's. I don't want you getting hurt because.....you should just go." * Fosst picks up a piece of sharp glass and turns it over in his hand, examining it, and then places it on the countertop. "If that is what you wish, Sabrina. But I am both able and ready to help, if you should wish so in the future." * Sabrina nods, not meeting his gaze. {I know, thank you.} * Fosst hesitates, and pockets the map. "Farewell, Sabrina." He leaves, closing the door quietly after him. * Sabrina looks up as he leaves, biting her lip softly. She goes and sweeps up the glass before leaving the shop and heading to the Dragons to report the incident to them. |
