* Catreenia sits at the desk in her room, frowning a little in concentration as she fills yet another of a dozen pages with her neat script. Open books are piled around her, and a small glass globe rests on a shelf above her head, emitting a clear white light.

* Cirlas pauses outside Cat's door, taking a deep breath and smoothing his tunic before knocking.

<Catreenia> Just a minute... ::her tongue sticks out a little between her lips as she finishes the line, blots it, and reads it over. With a satisfied nod, she fills out the bottom of the page with an extravagant flourish, and sets her pen down. Tucking a strand of stray hair behind her ear, she opens the door:: Oh! Cirlas! It's good to see you. ::behind her, the lit globe takes on a cheery yellow tinge::

<Cirlas> ::smiles as Cat opens the door:: Kitty-Cat! I hope you're not busy?

<Catreenia> ::shakes her head, smiling:: Not anymore. Just finished, in fact.

<Cirlas> Good! Would you like to go dancing?

<Catreenia> Oh! ::claps her hands:: Yes, certainly! ::spreads her hands, looking at the inkstains:: Just give me a moment to make myself presentable...

<Cirlas> Of course!

* Catreenia smiles and turns back into the room, inviting him in with a gesture. "Come on in, make yourself comfortable. I won't be a minute." Humming a sprightly dance tune under her breath, she opens her closet and snags a dress of wine-red velveteen with a wide embroidered collar, and zips down the hall to the girls' baths.

<Cirlas> ::enters the room and looks around curiously for a few moments, then sits in Cat's desk chair.

* Catreenia smiles delightedly as, at the off hour, she has the bathroom to herself. She quickly slips off her skirt and top, sponges herself clean and scrubs most of the ink off her hands, and dresses in the burgundy gown, twirling for the mirror and smiling at her reflection. She rebraids her hair quickly and puts it up, applying a dab of makeup before hurrying back down the hall to her room.

* Cirlas stares out the window for a few minutes, then looks down at the papers and books on the desk. He reads a few lines, then frowns and shrugs. He glances back at the door, then pulls open the center desk drawer curiously, grinning at the mayhem within. He pokes around a little, then closes it and opens the top right drawer.

<Cirlas> ::He pulls out a small box of stationery and brings it to his nose, sniffing delicately and sighing before putting it back. He reaches behind the stationery and pulls out a small sketchbook, which he riffles through, pausing occasionally to admire one drawing or another.::

* Cirlas carefully replaces the sketchbook and closes the drawer, turning to the left. The top left drawer is full of smaller books, printed on cheap paper. Cirlas picks one out and opens it at random. He reads for a few lines before suddenly blushing furiously and hurriedly replacing the book and shutting the drawer.

* Catreenia breezes through the door, dumps her clothes into a basket hidden in the closet and turns to smile brightly again at Cirlas. "All set! Where are we going?"

<Cirlas> ::looks up, his cheeks still faintly flushed, and stands hurriedly. "Oh! Um..." He stops as he gets a good look at her, frankly staring for a moment. "W-wow... That's beautiful, Cat."

<Catreenia> You think so? ::smiles and twirls, pleased at the effect, and giggles:: Thank you.

<Catreenia> I'll be sure to tell my little sister that you think she has good taste.

<Cirlas> ::blinks:: Your... sister?

<Catreenia> ::nods:: Sister. You know, female offspring of the same parents? Her name's Elowys, tho' she's been "Ellie" since she was small. She's, let's see... six years younger. This was her Midwinter gift to me. ::twirls again::

<Catreenia> Oh! Which reminds me... ::goes to a half-unpacked bag sitting in the corner:: I know I put it in here....

<Cirlas> Oh. ::he smiles:: She has *lovely* taste, then... ::he watches Cat admiringly::

<Catreenia> ::chuckles:: She's learning... although she still thinks pink and lilac are just darling together...::shudders slightly, and straightens as she slides a flat gold-foil box from her luggage:: Ah! I knew it was here. I hope it didn't break... but, well, no carriage ride... ::giggles again::

<Cirlas> ::looks a little bewildered, but nods gamely::

* Catreenia fusses with the red and green ribbon on the box, fluffing it up a little, and presents the box to Cirlas with a flourish. "Merry Midwinter, a little bit late. I had in mind exactly what I wanted, for you, but I'd not been home yet, so..."

<Cirlas> ::looks surprised and extremely pleased:: Oh! Cat, that's so sweet! ::he takes the box and carefully opens it:: Ohhh... ::inside the box, nestled in protective tissue, is a tiny lute, crafted in various colors of chocolate. He admires it for a moment, then looks back at Cat:: It's too pretty to eat... will it spoil?

<Catreenia> ::smiles, pleased:: They go sort of white, if they get too warm and cool again, and I can't answer for how the chocolate would taste in ten years or so, but as long as you keep it where vermin won't get to it and keep it out of the sun, it'll last. I have two or three such... there's a chocolatier in town who does them. In town in Arabel, I mean.

<Cirlas> ::nods:: Maybe I'll see if I can find a glazier who'd be willing to make a display box for it... ::he grins:: I'd hate for one of the servants to decide to sneak it as a snack!

<Catreenia> ::giggles:: The only people I've seen willing to eat them are children under five and fat old women. The "too pretty to eat" response was so common, they had to start making bonbons on the side so people could taste their chocolate! ::giggles and offers Cirlas a second, smaller box:: And lest you be tempted...

<Cirlas> ::takes the second box with a grin and opens it with a laugh:: So thoughtful! ::he selects a bonbon with two fingers and bites it neatly in half.:: Mmmmmm... ::he offers the other half to Cat::

* Catreenia giggles and accepts the other half, popping it into her mouth. Her eyes flutter closed as she chews, and expression of pure bliss on her face. "Mmmm... better than sex." Her eyes fly open, and she puts a hand to her mouth, blushing. "Mf! Sorry... I shouldn't have said that."

<Cirlas> ::flushes a little himself, but grins:: Did you say something? I was chewing on this chocolate... ::he offers her his arm:: Shall we go?

* Catreenia gives him a grateful look, still blushing, and swallows a little self-consciously. "Certainly." She tucks her hand into the crook of his arm.

* Cirlas leads her out of the school to where his family driver waits with the coach. "It's not far, but I promised my father I wouldn't tromp about after dark..." He rolls his eyes faintly, then takes Cat's hand to help her into the coach.

* Catreenia climbs up into the coach, eyeing Cirlas with concern. "Has there been trouble? I mean, since..." She blushes faintly again.

<Cirlas> ::shakes his head:: Not that I'd heard. But... well, you know how parents can be.

<Catreenia> ::nods:: So much the worse, I'm sure, when it's noble parents. After all, they've got more to worry about, and with reason.

<Cirlas> I guess so... ::he swings into the coach and sits beside her before knocking on the ceiling to signal the driver:: Anyway, I shouldn't complain too much... It's much more comfortable in here.

<Catreenia> ::chuckles, giving Cirlas a teasing grin:: True. *Too* comfortable. It's a good thing we're going to get our exercise.

<Cirlas> ::grins::

<Catreenia> Did you have a good Midwinter? Did your parents make it home for the holiday?

<Cirlas> ::nods:: Just barely. ::he shrugs:: Midwinter was all right, I guess. The romp we had before you left was better, though. And you? How was yours?

<Catreenia> ::nods:: Mm, mine was good. My boss offered me transportation, so I was able to stay a couple days longer than otherwise, and it was good to see everyone. I hadn't been back since midsummer. And... ::leans toward him a little, dropping her voice conspiratorially:: Ellie has discovered *boys.* Actually, it seems she has two boys sweet on her at once just now. It's so cute! Tho' of course, it would kill her to hear me say so.

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: Naturally...

<Cirlas> ::Before long, the coach pulls to a stop, and Cirlas jumps up and opens the door, climbing down and offering his assistance to Cat::

* Catreenia takes his hand and gathers her skirt up with the other, stepping lightly down from the coach and looking around.

<Cirlas> ::They have stopped in front of a dance hall in one of the nicer parts of town. Lively music can just be heard coming from within.::

<Cirlas> Shall we? ::offers his arm::

<Catreenia> Of course, m'lord. ::smiles as she lays her hand lightly on his arm and heads towards the door at his side::

<Cirlas> ::leads Catreenia into the hall with a smile, bowing her through the door with a flourish:: After you, m'lady!

* Catreenia giggles and precedes him through the door, twirling and dropping into a bouncy curtsey as she takes his hand again, speaking up a little over the music. "Oh! I've missed this. It's just not the same at home, and I've not had the time since I got back..."

<Cirlas> Well, we'll certainly have to remedy that... ::offers her his hand:: May I have this dance?

<Catreenia> I would be honored! ::takes his hand and lets him lead her to the dance floor::

* Cirlas swirls Catreenia onto the floor. He is a fairly good dancer, and appears to be enjoying himself a great deal.

* Catreenia dances well (lots of practice), laughing and joking with him as she loses herself in the flow of the music and the flurry of swirling skirts.

<Cirlas> ::As the dance winds down, he swirls her to a halt, his hand lingering on her side. He smiles at her:: Your dress feels as nice as it looks... ::he flushes a little, then looks around hurriedly:: Would you like a glass of wine?

* Catreenia hides a smile at his discomfiture, and nods. "I would love a glass of wine, thank you."

* Cirlas smiles and takes Cat's hand to lead her from the dance floor. Safely away from the dancers, he locates a waiter with a tray and liberates two glasses of wine, deep burgundy that nearly matches her dress. He offers her one, then sips from the other appreciatively.

<Catreenia> ::giggles:: Ah, good! I'm free to be as clumsy as I like. Ellie chose better than she knew! ::she toasts Cirlas cheerily with her glass, and sips::

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: You? Clumsy? I wouldn't believe it!

<Catreenia> ::arches her hand over her breastbone dramatically:: It's true, alas! Now you know my terrible, shameful secret! I, Catreenia Suchart, am... ::she pauses dramatically, continuing in tones of hushed horror:: sometimes *clumsy*!

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: It's all a lie, I tell you! ::he chuckles and has another sip of wine, switching between watching the dancers and her.::

<Catreenia> Ahhh, were it only so! ::giggles, and wets her lips with wine, dropping her dramatic pose:: I have, from time to time, been spectacularly clumsy... because, of course, anything worth doing is worth doing well, you know. Ahhh, harvest dinner, when I was... let's see... fourteen? No, fifteen, that's right. ::chuckles, and looks out over the crowd reminiscently::

<Cirlas> ::grins:: What happened?

<Catreenia> Ah! The stuff of legend, I tell you. I dropped... MY FORK.

<Cirlas> ::puts his hand to his throat dramatically:: NO!

<Catreenia> Oh, yes. But you see, timing is everything. I dropped my fork just as Papa was putting down his wine glass. It hit Papa's wine glass, knocking it over and spilling nearly a full glass of wine all over the roast goose. The glass hit the edge of the gravy boat, broke, and catapulted the gravy spoon-- full, of course-- onto Mama's lap. She was so startled she stood up in her chair, knocking it over... ::shakes her head, laughing:: I'm sorry, I can't go on, this is too embarrassing...

<Cirlas> ::laughs a little harder with each additional disaster, and finally is nearly doubled-over::

<Catreenia> ::cheeks a little pink:: The upshot was that Mama's arm was in a sling for three weeks, Ellie had to wear a kerchief until her bangs grew back in, and I had kitchen duties for a month. ::musingly:: And the cat never *did* forgive me...

<Cirlas> ::laughs even harder, sagging against the wall and wheezing:: Oh... I'm ::giggles:: ...I'm sorry...

<Catreenia> ::grins:: So was I, believe me. ::fans him a little with her hand and offers him a fresh glass of wine::

<Cirlas> ::slowly recovering:: I'm sorry, but that's just too much!

<Catreenia> True, every word, I swear. ::smiles broadly:: I don't do it often, but when I do, it's invariably spectacular.

<Cirlas> ::chuckles::

<Catreenia> So, now that you've heard my awful secret, are you brave enough to dance with me again? ::her eyes twinkling::

<Cirlas> ::grins:: I'll take my chances. ::takes a step toward the dance floor and offers her his hand::

* Catreenia takes his hand, spinning gracefully into the circle of his arm in time with the music.

* Cirlas spins Cat onto the floor, watching her appreciatively, his arm around her waist perhaps just a shade tighter than is strictly called for by the rules of the dance.

<Catreenia> ::laughs gaily as a caller steps up to the podium, and begins leading the dancers into more and more complex patterns. "Oh, if only schoolwork could be like dancing..."

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: Now *there's* something to wish for with our next toast!

<Catreenia> ::giggles:: Perhaps for my next birthday.

<Cirlas> ::chuckles:: I'll see what I can arrange - when is your birthday, anyhow?

<Catreenia> ::smiles:: You'll laugh...

<Cirlas> ::raises his eyebrows:: Will I? ::grins:: Make me laugh, then...

<Catreenia> ::smiles:: Very well... Greengrass. *On* the holiday.

<Cirlas> ::laughs delightedly::

<Cirlas> Well, we'll have to do something *extra* special to celebrate, then... A picnic, maybe, if the weather's good.

<Catreenia> ::blushes a little:: See, I said you'd laugh. A picnic might be nice... in the bustle of other things, my birthday generally gets sort of... ::frees a hand for a moment to hold it near the other, and press in:: condensed.

<Cirlas> ::nods in understanding and gestures expansively:: Then we'll have to make sure this year's makes up for all the old disappointments! ::his eyes glitter::

<Catreenia> ::ducks her head a little, blushing deeper:: Oh, really, Cirlas, it's alright... you don't need to go to so much trouble over me.

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: But it's such *fun*! ::he chuckles and catches her hand, kissing it briefly before moving into the next steps of the dance::

<Catreenia> ::smiles, a little embarrassed:: It's good to see you in such a good mood. You've really bounced back from, well, from before.

<Cirlas> ::looks a little embarrassed:: Well... It's nice to know my feelings are my *own* again, you know? ::shakes his head, then grins at her:: Though you're quite bewitching in that dress...

<Catreenia> ::grins back at him:: Oh, so now my fashion sense is to be responsible for stealing your wits?

<Cirlas> Well, *some*thing must be to blame...

<Catreenia> Oh? ::a twinkle in her eye:: Your wits don't simply fly out of your head from time to time like most boys'?

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: Well.. of course they do! But something must make it happen... I'm willing to blame the presence of a lovely lady. ::he takes advantage of the bow called for by the dance, adding a flourish::

<Catreenia> ::giggles:: Flatterer.

<Cirlas> ::protesting:: Not at all!

<Catreenia> ::smiling:: There you go again.

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: What do I have to do to make you believe me?

<Catreenia> ::giggling:: Well, as I was told it's bad manners to gainsay one of the nobility-- all right. I'm lovely. ::grins::

<Cirlas> ::lifts his nose with assumed hauteur:: Very good. ::he chuckles, then looks up as the music winds toward a close:: Shall we stay for the next, or would you like to rest again?

<Catreenia> Oh-- ah... ::cocks her ear as the players play the introductory strains of a slow dance:: Perhaps we should sit this one out?

<Cirlas> ::looks a little disappointed, but nods:: If you like... ::he takes her hand to lead her off the floor::

<Catreenia> Oh! Speaking of my manners-- I nearly forgot. Thank you for taking me dancing! This is wonderful. I don't think I've been to this hall before.

<Cirlas> ::smiles:: I like it here... ::he picks up another pair of wine glasses, offering her one:: ...and you're a wonderful dancer.

<Catreenia> ::smiles, accepting the glass:: Thank you. ::laughs a little:: I've had a great deal of practice, perhaps to the detriment of my studies.

<Cirlas> ::chuckles:: I have the same problem... Hmm. ::sips his wine:: Do you enjoy riding?

<Catreenia> Riding? ::blinks:: I'm afraid I've had little opportunity to try. I'm city-bred. Whenever we travelled, we went in caravan, or took coach, for safety.

<Cirlas> Ah... ::he shrugs:: I'm city-bred, too, but there's the estate to visit every so often... ::makes a face:: But riding is actually pretty fun.

<Catreenia> ::smiles suddenly and coughs on her wine, setting the glass down and thumping her chest with her fist for a moment until her throat clears:: Ack... sorry. Yes, I'm sure it is.

<Cirlas> ::looks mildly concerned, putting a hand on her shoulder:: Are you all right?

<Catreenia> ::nods, waving her hand:: I'm fine, just... swallowed wrong. ::smiles a little cryptically, and picks up her glass again to take another swallow:: There. All better.

<Cirlas> ::grins mischievously:: It wouldn't have happened if we'd kept dancing, you know... I'm afraid you'll have to agree to the next.

<Catreenia> Oh, heavens. Well, if I must... ::grins and stands again::

* Cirlas chuckles and leads her back onto the floor, smiling as another slow dance begins.

<Catreenia> ::blushes a little:: If I didn't know better, I'd think you planned that.

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: I wish I had...

<Catreenia> ::blushes deeper:: Cirlas! ::puts one hand on his shoulder and takes his other, following his lead into the dance::

* Cirlas puts his other hand to her side and leads her into the dance, grinning at her blush.

* Catreenia relaxes a little as they dance, enjoying his admiration, moving a bit closer and twining her fingers into his.

<Cirlas> ::sighs happily as the song ends, releasing her a little reluctantly::

<Cirlas> We really *must* do this again...

<Catreenia> ::moves away with a bit of a happy sigh of her own:: Yes, we should... that is, if your social duties permit. ::blushing again faintly:: This is great fun for me, Cirlas, but I don't want you to feel beholden to me or anything...

<Cirlas> ::looks surprised:: Oh, no! Not at all - I enjoy your company, truly! ::he smiles:: And you're a wonderful dancer.

<Cirlas> ::grins mischievously:: Not like Kirli...

<Catreenia> Kirli? ::raises her eyebrow::

<Catreenia> Oh! Not-- ::makes a motion with her hand, sort of a jingling all-over-the-place:: Kirli?

<Cirlas> ::nods and grins::

<Catreenia> ::mock-huffs:: Well! I should certainly hope *not*!

<Cirlas> ::laughs::

<Catreenia> Do you think... that is, if it's not too difficult... that you might teach me to ride? ::shy smile:: You're fun to be with... especially just now.

<Cirlas> ::beams:: I would love to! ::he smiles:: Really, it's easy, as long as you're not going on a long trip or something.

<Catreenia> ::laughs:: No chance of *that* any time soon. Not with school and all.

<Cirlas> ::nods:: I think you'd like it... ::he smiles at her almost slyly:: And it would increase the possible sites for our picnic tenfold.

<Catreenia> ::smiles:: True... oh... ::a somewhat troubled look in her eyes:: There's one thing... since you seem determined to plan in advance... ::brief twinkle:: Please try to avoid any "historic" sites, especially those associated with violence. They... well, I've had bad experiences....

<Cirlas> ::looks vaguely confused:: Is that because of, um... ::he waves one hand near his temple:: ...your ... ::obviously he can't remember the word::

<Catreenia> Postcognition. ::lowers her voice a little, mindful of the other dancers nearby:: Psionics.

<Cirlas> ::snaps:: That's the word! ::he smiles, then nods:: I'll try to avoid anything like that, though it's not always obvious... ::looks curious:: What would happen if we encountered something by accident? It's not... dangerous, is it?

<Catreenia> ::shakes her head:: Not generally, unless there are vengeful spirits present. But I have had some... distressful experiences. ::smiles a little:: Although not all of them have been bad... strong emotion sort of... ::frowns a little as she tries to explain it:: imprints itself on a place.

<Cirlas> ::looks a little confused, but nods gamely:: Well, I certainly wouldn't want to distress you... I'll try to make sure we pick someplace nice and calm... And we'll leave right away if... you know, something happens. ::he smiles tentatively::

<Catreenia> ::smiles, and puts a wrist to her forehead in a mock-swoon:: Even if you have to carry me?

<Cirlas> ::eyes light up:: I'd get to carry you? ::he's (mostly) clowning::

<Catreenia> ::giggles:: And the blanket, and the picnic basket, and lead the horses... all while I'm most likely screaming my head off or frozen stiff.

<Cirlas> Oh... ::looking suddenly deflated::

<Catreenia> ::pats his shoulder reassuringly:: I'm teasing you. Honestly, I've been working on my shielding. It may not even affect me that strongly. ::getting a teasing look in her eye:: Although if it's a romantic site, the place of many a passionate rendezvous, you may have *other* difficulties to contend with.

<Cirlas> ::glances at her slyly:: Oh...?

<Catreenia> ::hamming up a smoldering gaze, hanging on his arm:: I may not be able to control myself! ::spoils the moment with a giggle::

<Cirlas> ::blushes a little, but laughs::

<Catreenia> ::smiles more normally:: It should be alright. I'm just teasing you.

<Catreenia> Well! ::looks up brightly:: Perhaps one more, before we go? I should turn in early tonight, I've an early class.

<Cirlas> ::tries to look happy and mournful at the same time, and almost even succeeds:: Very well... ::he offers Catreenia his hand, to lead her onto the dance floor again::

<Catreenia> ::giggles a little at his expression as she allows herself to be led::

<Cirlas> What's your class? Or would it even make sense to me?

<Catreenia> Hmm... it might. It's a Convergence meditation, which is why it's held early. ::giggles:: We students joke that our teacher is trying to save herself half the work by catching us when we're already half-conscious.

<Cirlas> ::laughs::

<Catreenia> Anyway, Convergence is... ::thinks:: Well, I suppose it's the psionic version of teamwork. It allows several psionicists to pool power, to do something stronger or more difficult. ::expression clearing:: Like the magic shell we had over the city this summer!

<Cirlas> Oh, I see... ::smiles wryly:: Sort of, anyway.

<Catreenia> ::nods:: Well, that's what I'm training in. ::sounding enthused:: It's very difficult-- tricky, but very rewarding. And the teacher thinks I could do well in it.

<Cirlas> ::smiles:: Well, that's good, anyway, even if I don't completely understand it...

<Catreenia> And so, a few last turns... ::smiling and pirouetting under his arm:: ...and I should be a good girl and get some rest.

<Cirlas> ::sighs a little:: If you insist... You will at least allow me to escort you home?

<Catreenia> ::nods, and smiles:: Of course. Not safe for a girl to walk home so late, after all.

<Cirlas> Oh, good. ::he spins her through the last few measures of the dance, then offers her his arm::

<Catreenia> ::laughs delightedly, and applauds for the fiddlers before taking Cirlas's arm and leaving the floor with him::

<Cirlas> ::As they head for the door, Cirlas catches the eye of the manager, who nods and makes a notation in his ledger::

<Catreenia> ::cocks her head up at him, smiling:: Been here often, have you?

<Cirlas> ::grins as he opens the door:: Not... *often*. But a few times. ::grins at her:: There *are* a few advantages to being a noble... One of them is that your credit is usually pretty good, so you don't have to waste time fussing with paying for things when you'd much rather be enjoying the company.

<Catreenia> ::smiles, and tucks her arm through his elbow::

<Cirlas> ::When the coach comes back around the side of the building, Cirlas opens the door and offers Cat a hand in::

* Catreenia nods thanks and steps up into the coach, settling into the cushions with a sigh.

* Cirlas settles next to her and kicks his feet up onto the seat opposite them with a sigh. "I *do* love to dance, but I think I need new shoes..."

<Catreenia> ::smiles a little:: Worn them out? ::giggles:: I go through about three pair a season, if I'm lucky....

<Cirlas> ::laughs:: Outgrown them, more like... ::he leans forward and tugs on the tight heel:: A visit to the cobbler tomorrow, I think... ::he smiles at her:: It wouldn't do to fail you as a dance partner because of such a silly thing.

<Catreenia> I'm certain you'd come through gallantly, Cirlas. ::smiling::

<Cirlas> That's very kind of you... I'd certainly do my best! ::he grins::

<Catreenia> ::smiles warmly:: What more could one ask?

<Cirlas> ::flushes a little, smiling::

* Catreenia grins and pats his knee.

* Cirlas sighs a little as the coach pulls up at the school, then smiles at Cat. "I forgot to tell him to go the long way 'round..." He grins and opens the door, climbing down to help her out. "Shall I walk you in?"

<Catreenia> ::steps down, appearing to consider the question for a long moment before grinning to show she was only teasing him:: Certainly, if you like. Although I can't ask you in for long, if I'm to be of any use tomorrow...

<Cirlas> ::holds up his hands disarmingly:: I only wish to see you safely to your door! ::he offers her his arm::

<Catreenia> ::smiles and, with elaborate courtesy, lays her hand delicately on his arm::

* Cirlas leads Cat into the dorm, strolling through the halls slowly, obviously determined to stretch out the time.

* Catreenia matches her pace to his, with a somewhat amused smile.

<Cirlas> ::At her door, he pauses, looking at her admiringly:: Thank you - I had a wonderful time...

<Catreenia> As did I. ::smiles up at him:: Thank you so much for taking me dancing.

<Cirlas> You're most welcome - I look forward to doing it again, soon... ::he hesitates a moment, then bends to kiss her gently::

* Catreenia takes a breath, tipping her mouth up for the kiss and closing her eyes.

* Cirlas breaks off after a moment with a sigh and a smile. He looks into her eyes for a long moment. "Thank you, again..." He smiles a little wider. "I'll see you soon, I hope...?"

<Catreenia> ::nods, a little dreamily::

* Cirlas smiles and takes a few steps backwards, not really willing to turn around.

* Catreenia waves, fumbling with the doorknob behind her a little before catching it properly and turning it. From behind her, the globe light on her shelf paints her outline faintly pink.

* Cirlas backs up slowly, watching until the door closes between them.

* Catreenia closes the door finally, turning and leaning against it with a happy sigh.

* Cirlas hesitates at the end of the hall, looking at the closed door, then takes a deep breath, grins, and leaves the building.
