* Temire bounces up the stairs to Lathander's Temple, wearing a blue dress embroidered with sunbursts. Her hair hangs loose, the single white lock seeming to brighten her already euphoric demeanor. <Acolyte> ::An acolyte in pale grey robes meets Temire as she enters.:: Can I help you, Miss? * Temire smiles brightly, "Yes. Could I speak with Tarri Mandeil?" <Acolyte> ::smiles in response to Temire's obvious happiness, but shakes his head:: I'm afraid I need more information than that, Miss... Is she a priestess here? Or a patient? * Temire thinks, "She came here for training, but she wasn't going to become a priestess." <Acolyte> Training? ::frowns, then smiles again:: Healer's training? ::he points down a long hallway:: Apprentice priestesses and healers are dormed down there - turn left at the end and keep going - you'll see it! If she isn't in the dorm, she's in study and mustn't be interrupted. * Temire bounces and smiles, "Thank you." * Temire half floats, half bounces down the hallway and to the dorm, looking around for Tarri. <Tarri> ::The dorm is full of students about Temire's age, some younger, some older. Most of them are reading or studying something, or talking quietly in small groups. One knot of somewhat older girls in green robes directs Temire through a few hallways to Tarri's room:: * Temire thanks the students and knocks on the indicated door. <Tarri> ::An extremely short girl with flaming red hair opens the door and looks up at Temire seriously:: Yes? * Temire smiles, "Is Tarri in?" <Tarri> ::nods and turns her head:: Tarri, you have a visitor. Take her somewhere else, please; I have studying to do. * Temire smiles but refrains from chuckling. * Tarri replaces the serious red-haired girl at the door, her face lighting up when she sees Temire. She slips out of her room, carefully closing the door behind her before hugging her friend. "Come on, let's go sit in the garden where we won't disturb anyone." She takes Temire's hand and leads her through a bewildering array of hallways at top speed. * Temire returns the hug and follows Tarri, easily keeping pace with her bouncing step. * Tarri pulls Temire into a brightly-lit garden, laid out entirely in herbs. She picks a bench near a cluster of something blooming in brilliant shades of pink and purple. "So come and sit and tell me everything that's going on! I'm so busy these days I can barely set foot outside the Temple!" * Temire sits next to Tarri, shining brightly in the garden, "I assume San told you what he's up to?" <Tarri> Well, he told me he was going to be in Waterdeep for most of this semester... ::she sighs a little:: It's probably a good thing I'm so busy, or I'd be missing him *terribly*. * Temire hugs Tarri, "I'm sorry. I just wanted to make sure you knew. Is there anything you want to know about? There's been a lot going on." <Tarri> ::laughs:: Well, tell me *every*thing! * Temire grins, "Well I thought I'd ask so that I wouldn't forget something you wanted to know about." <Tarri> ::grins back:: You tell me the list, and I'll ask if there's something I'm missing. <Temire> Well Kevil and Loria went back to Kevil's home and when they came back Loria proposed to Kevil. * Temire grins, "Kevil asked for the Blessed Mother's permission." <Tarri> ::eyes widen:: SHE proposed to *him*??? ::laughs:: And he... ::eyes widen even further:: What did She say? * Temire grins, "She dragged her feet and was grumpy about it and made Kevil promise to take care of Loria and asked very pointed questions about their lifestyle together, but she eventually gave it." <Tarri> Oh! ::claps delightedly:: I'll never understand it, but it was obvious she was mad about him... I hope they'll be very happy! ::giggles:: What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall when she tells her parents, though! * Temire grins, "It's probably a good thing Loria's a priestess now. She won't have to ask her parents to put Kevil under their roof." <Tarri> Loria's a *priestess*?? Of- of the Blessed Mother??!? * Temire nods, still grinning, "Yep. Apparently it happened while they were at Kevil's home." <Tarri> Wow... ::she shakes her head in amazement:: A lot *has* happened... * Temire nods, "Loria didn't seem to think that Greyson was going to be very happy to see her." <Tarri> ::blinks:: Why not? Gr- er, Saint Greyson's such a sweet man! * Temire shrugs, still smiling, "I didn't ask. And I missed part of the conversation, so I could be wrong." <Tarri> Oh... Well, maybe I'll have time to ask her, sometime. ::eyes Temire's grin:: What else? * Temire grins wider, "Did you hear about Lini'leah getting arrested?" <Tarri> Um... ::frowns:: I think I did, actually... I mean, no one knew her name, but how many dark elves can there be in Marsember? * Temire smiles, "Well apparently there are two, because they managed to prove that it wasn't her." <Tarri> Well, that's good! But... what about the real culprit, then? * Temire shrugs, "She got away." <Tarri> ::shivers:: <Tarri> Oh... I hope you have happier news... * Temire smiles brightly at Tarri, "Well Meghan and Abby are back." <Tarri> Oh, good! How are they? * Temire bounces a little in her seat, "Well they both seemed to miss Michelle a lot. Michelle's been sleeping with Abby most nights to make up for it." <Tarri> ::giggles:: She's such a *cute* baby! * Temire grins, "I hope I have one like her some day." <Tarri> ::nods and smiles:: Me, too! * Temire dims a little, "On the other hand, Michelle and Meghan are sleeping in separate rooms...I don't know that Michelle really wants things to go back to the way they were." <Tarri> Oh... ::looks sad:: I hope they work things out... * Temire makes a comical face, "I don't think you really want to hear about Nacheyla's cravings." <Tarri> ::smiles in blissful ignorance:: It's all right, I'm sure I can imagine it. * Temire dims again, "And Tyl left." <Tarri> ::nods:: I think I heard about that... It's why Lord Bluestar moved some of the students to Waterdeep for the semester, isn't it? * Temire shrugs, "Maybe. I suspect Lord Bluestar has more than one reason for just about everything he does." <Tarri> ::grins:: Could be. * Temire grins and bounces, "Did I miss anything?" <Tarri> ::laughs:: *YOU*, silly! * Temire blinks innocently at Tarri, "Oh?" <Tarri> ::lightly slaps Temire's arm:: Tell me! * Temire looks up and puts a finger to her chin, "Where should I begin?" <Tarri> ::looks exasperated:: With RONI, of course! * Temire blinks in mock surprise, her smile brightening, "Oh? Has something happened with Roni?" <Tarri> ::glares:: TEMIRE! * Temire giggles and hugs Tarri, "Oh Tarri, it's wonderful." <Tarri> ::bounces and returns Temire's hug:: Is it? What is? Did you-? * Temire smiles at Tarri, grinning widely, her eyes sparkling and nods. <Tarri> OH! ::squeals and hugs Temire again:: * Temire returns the hug, giggling uncontrollably. <Tarri> ::laughs:: Tell me everything! No- ::blushes furiously:: *NOT* everything - but you have to tell me how it happened! Was he very romantic? ::grins mischievously:: Like in one of his books? * Temire grins wickedly at Tarri, running a finger along her jaw, "You SURE you don't want to hear everything?" <Tarri> ::laughs and blushes harder:: YES. I'll find out everything for myself soon enough. * Temire giggles, "Alright, I'll be good." <Tarri> ::giggles and bounces again, her eyes sparkling with anticipation of the story:: * Temire smiles brightly and shakes her head, "It was NOTHING like his books." <Tarri> No? ::grins:: Good. The books always seemed a little too... ::she shrugs:: So what *was* it like? * Temire looks off into the distance, remembering, "He climbed up the trellis to my room like he did when I was grounded to invite me to a festival that one of the cider houses was holding." <Tarri> ::listens with wide eyes:: <Temire> We danced, and bought a stuffed animal for Ilya, and I won some silver for the dinner table. <Tarri> ::giggles:: * Temire comes down off her high a little, "We called it a night after Roni got into a fight with a drunk. Roni won, but he got a nasty bruise. I wish he'd let me fight the guy, but it's probably better since I probably would have hurt the guy." <Tarri> ::grins and shakes her head, but doesn't say anything, waiting:: * Temire brightens, "When we got back to my room I kissed him and he suddenly tried to leave." Mira blushes. "I thought I'd hurt his shoulder." <Tarri> But...? <Temire> So he had to explain that he had to leave because if he stayed...::Mira blushes more:: And I told him that I went to Waterdeep when I did because I knew that if I didn't leave right then then I would...::pulls at her white lock of hair, crossing her eyes to look at it:: <Tarri> Ohh.... ::grins, blushing:: Yeah, I, um... ::blushes harder:: So, what then? * Temire smiles, hugging Tarri, "He was so sweet. I was really scared so he started tickling me and the tickle fight made it so I wasn't scared any more. And he's always stopping and making sure I'm enjoying what we're doing and that he's not hurting me." * Temire sighs contentedly, leaning against Tarri, "Even that first time when I got scared again he was really gentle and was apologizing...I never imagined anyone could be so nice." <Tarri> ::giggles:: You certainly seem happy with it! * Temire giggles, hugging Tarri tighter, "I've never been happier in my life. I even talked to Jaret and was so happy I forgot I ever had a crush on him till he brought it up." * Temire grins at Tarri, "And then I called him an old man as I was leaving." <Tarri> ::laughs:: * Temire laughs with Tarri, "I just can't imagine being happier than I am now." <Tarri> ::giggles and hugs Temire:: I'm glad you're so happy! * Temire returns the hug, still giggling, "So how are you doing?" <Tarri> Oh... ::grins and shrugs:: Busy. Very, very busy. If I'm not here in the garden memorizing plants, I'm in a classroom learning diagrams, or in the kitchen helping with the butchering, or at the clinic working... And the *hours*! ::she shakes her head in amazement:: * Temire grins, "Is your roommate always like that, or did I just catch her right before a test?" <Tarri> ::waggles her hand back and forth:: She's pretty serious most of the time, but there's an anatomy exam tomorrow for the first levels. * Temire blinks, "I'm sorry. I was just so happy I wanted to tell someone. It didn't even occur to me that you'd have a test." <Tarri> ::waves a hand:: Don't worry about it. They put me in the second level, because I had so much earlier experience. *My* anatomy test is *next* week. ::grins:: * Temire grins, "Oh, so I have a whole week to spend time with you. San will be so jealous." <Tarri> ::laughs:: Well, I've got *other* things to do, silly... * Temire laughs, "Oh drat." <Tarri> ::giggles:: I'd tell you my schedule if I could, but I'm not sure they really *have* a schedule... ::lowers her voice conspiratorially:: I think they just work us until we're about to drop, then send us off for a rest. I'm sure it's to build our endurance, you see... * Temire giggles, "Well Michelle and Nachan were always talking about babies coming at all hours, and usually in groups." <Tarri> ::grins and nods:: And you'd think no one ever fell down and broke a leg in the *morning*, either! * Temire giggles, "Could you please break your leg in an hour? I'm not ready to face the day yet." <Tarri> ::giggles:: <Tarri> ::A masculine voice calls across the garden, and Tarri looks up with a sigh:: Time for botany... ::she gives Temire a hug:: Can you find your way out okay? Come again soon! * Temire hugs Tarri, "I think I can manage." Mira seems to consider something for a moment then lightly kisses Tarri, "Good luck with your classes Tarri. I'll try to stop by regularly and let you know what everyone's been up to." * Tarri looks a little startled, but grins and waves until Temire is out of sight before going to join her fellow students. * Temire walks out of the temple with the same floating, bouncing step she entered, waving to the door keeper as she leaves. |
