* Sabrina walks into the Hall wearing a dark blue cloak. She brushes back the hood and goes to Ardem's room. As she reaches the door she knocks lightly. * Ardem answers the door and smiles seeing it's Sabrina. <Ardem> Hello there dear lady * Sabrina returns his smile "Hello. I was about to run some errands, and thought you might like that tour of the city." * Ardem nods. "I'd like that very much" * Sabrina nods and stands back a bit from the door. "I'll wait here if you need to get ready." * Ardem shrugs and smiles to her "Nothing for me to do really, these are the clothes I own, and I already cleaned up" He steps out of the door and closes it behind him. * Sabrina nods and turns to go back down to the main room. * Ardem follows along with her, smiling and thinking to himself * Sabrina stops by the bar and leaves a few rolls of paper and a note for Rhys before heading out into the afternoon. She glances back at Ardem, "Was there anything in particular you wanted to see or know about?" <Ardem> Oh not really, just want to get out of my room for a bit, see the sights, enjoy the views. * Sabrina nods and leads him towards the market square. "Ok well feel free to ask me anything or suggest a place to go if you see something of interest. I have to stop at the market and pick up some bread first." <Ardem> I would suggest getting me some clothes, but I don't have any money * Ardem frowns a bit and fiddles with a gold pendant hanging on a gold chain around his neck. * Sabrina nods to him. "I think I could help you a bit with that. I'm sure Master Rhys would be able to help you as well. You might want to ask him." She glances over at him as they walk. "I guess the most important thing is if you are planning on trying to get back home or stay here." <Ardem> Well, I haven't decided really. Beings my powers aren't what they were on our world, ::sighs half to himself:: I might have no choice but to stay. But on the same note, I never really had a life, so.... ::trails off:: * Sabrina nods to him and looks back ahead of her. As they enter the market square she heads in the direction of the bakery. * Ardem walks with her, smiling and looking around at the different merchants and their wares. * Sabrina steps into the bakery and takes a deep breath of the fresh breads. She steps to the counter and gets a loaf of bread, tucking it into the basket on her arm. She talks with the baker a bit about when she is planning on coming back to the square to sing again and then turns smiling to Ardem as she heads back out into the square. * Ardem smiles back. "I still have yet to hear you sing." * Sabrina grins at him. "I don't very much at the moment. Not being able to sing in the square because it's winter. You should stop by the shop though. I am usually singing to one of the children when I am there." <Ardem> Which shop is that? <Sabrina> The Music Box. It's the shop below my apartment. * Ardem nods. "I'll have to do that" he smiles brightly to her and looks around, seeming to be in search of something * Sabrina pauses and glances at him. "What are you looking for?" <Ardem> Fruit. There somebody selling fruits around here? * Sabrina nods and leads him to a produce shop nearby. * Ardem picks out a few nice pieces of fruit and hands one to her. "You like these?" * Sabrina nods at the pear. "I like most fruits" * Ardem looks her up and down, trying to be inconspicuous. "I never got a chance to go to market here the last couple of years. Mostly out hunting for raiders" * Sabrina nods looking over some poor looking apples, not noticing his glances "I guess life here will not seem as exciting for you then" <Ardem> It's getting better. ::smiles:: * Sabrina glances over at him and smiles back. "Ready?" <Ardem> It's not like I really liked hunting them. It needed to be done. And yes, I am ready. * Ardem takes a bite of a pear and follows along next to her * Sabrina heads back out of the shop and walks to the opposite end of the square. She goes into a shop that has stacks of papers and books. She chats with the woman behind the counter for a few moments. The woman hands her a few sheets of paper and waves to her as she goes. <Ardem> Wait, might I look a bit here? * Ardem looks to her pleadingly. * Sabrina nods and stands by the door. She looks over the paper she just got and hums under her breath. * Ardem looks around at a few books, and picks a couple out and looks to Sabrina. "Might I get these? I could use them if I choose to stay" * Sabrina nods and looks over to the woman behind the counter "Marisa, Ardem is going to take a few of your books. I'll pay for them the end of the week." The woman nods and notes in her book which ones Ardem has. <Ardem> Thank you so much ::smiles to both of them:: * Sabrina nods and heads back out. She heads in the direction of the temple that Tarri is working at. As they go she points out things to Ardem that she thinks he might be interested in. * Ardem nods and looks at things she shows him but his thoughts are elsewhere. * Sabrina stops at the temple and leaves a book for Tarri and then heads out again. She glances at Ardem. "So that's all I have for now. Was there something else you were interested in seeing?" * Ardem looks thoughtful for a moment. "just you" Not realizing he said that out loud * Sabrina flushes a bit and suddenly looks uncomfortable. "Well I can take you back over to the hall. I need to see if Rhys is there." * Ardem nods "That's fine" ::smiles:: * Sabrina nods and heads back to the hall. She carefully keeps her gaze ahead of her. * Ardem follows along next to her and holds the door for her as they enter. * Sabrina steps into the hall ahead of him and glances around. * Rhys is in the little office off the side of the Hall, poring over a large ledger book. He looks up as the two enter. "Ah, Sabrina. And... Ardem, is it? What brings you by? I got the drawings, Sabrina. They're quite lovely, thank you for dropping them off." * Sabrina smiles and heads to the office "I'm glad you got them. The children loved the little toys you made. They wanted to draw the pictures for you." she smiles brightly at him. * Rhys stands up, closing the ledger and setting it precariously on the top of a stack of papers on the desk. "I know we're not officially open, but can I pour anything for either of you?" <Ardem> No, I'm fine. Thank you anyway. * Sabrina glances at Ardem and then back to Rhys. "Some water would be good. Thanks Rhys" * Rhys fetches a mug from the racks and fills it with water for Sabrina. "Here you go, Sabrina." * Sabrina takes the mug and drinks a bunch of the water. * Rhys raises an eyebrow. "There's more where that came from, if you finish it off. Have you been singing?" * Sabrina shakes her head lightly as she finishes the water. "No, but I have been walking round. Maybe that's why I am so thirsty." <Rhys> Ah, I see. Out seeing the sights of all that Marsember has to offer? * Sabrina glances back over to Ardem and nods. "Quickly give the cold weather." * Rhys nods. "It is a little chilly. It's likely to stay this way for a few months, too. You may want to look into a good fur-lined cloak or something." * Sabrina nods to him as she pushes the mug back across the bar "I definitely will do that." * Ardem nods. "Yes, I was telling her I need some new clothes" ::looks down at his rags:: "These are all I have." * Rhys nods. "I can look and see if there's anything that's abandoned in the Hall closet, if you can return it after you get some clothes that aren't so drafty." * Sabrina nods and smiles at Ardem. "See I knew he would be able to help" <Ardem> Thank you very much kind sir. I am in your debt. <Rhys> Not at all, not at all. ::comes around the bar, goes into the tiny office, and comes out with a few cloaks.:: Here's what we have at the moment. Take whichever you'd like. * Ardem looks through the cloaks and takes one of the rather simple ones. * Sabrina shifts her basket to her other arm. She stands back a bit and watches. <Rhys> That looks like it will even fit reasonably well. Good choice. ::takes the other cloaks back into the office:: * Sabrina nods and smiles a bit. * Rhys comes back out of the office. "Is there anything else I can get for you, or are you just here for the rooms, now?" * Ardem puts the cloak on and smiles to Rhys and Sabrina. * Sabrina nods to Ardem "It looks warmer than what you had" * Ardem nods. "Yes, much better." * Sabrina nods "Well I need to get back. Kevil should be back any day now and I am way behind in my studies." She smiles at Ardem and then Rhys. * Rhys smiles at Sabrina. "You wouldn't want to upset your teacher on his first day back, either." * Sabrina chuckles and shakes her head "No I would not" * Ardem smiles to the two. "Well, Sabrina, you have fun. Rhys, good day, I think I'll head up to my room and read these books." <Rhys> Good day to you, Ardem. * Sabrina nods "See you later Ardem." She watches him go and looks to Rhys for a moment. * Ardem heads up to his room waving to the others as he leaves. * Rhys looks at Sabrina expectantly. "Yes?" * Sabrina blinks and shakes her head "Nothing I guess." She smiles uncertainly. * Rhys sits down on the stool behind the bar. "You guess?" * Sabrina sighs softly and sits next to Rhys. "He makes me uncomfortable." She glances to the stairs. * Rhys looks up the stairs, an eyebrow raised. "Does he, now?" * Sabrina nods and looks down at her hands. "Not because he did anything wrong. I just," she pauses looking thoughtful. "The way he looks at me I think." She glances over at Rhys her cheeks red. * Rhys nods and cracks a knuckle. "This cold weather.... the joints always stiffen up. You don't think he'll do anything, do you?" * Sabrina looks surprised. "Well he saved my life. I didn't really think that he might want to harm me." She frowns slightly. * Rhys smiles. "I gathered from last week that he's a little confused about his surroundings, and everything that's happened. Give him a little time to get his feet under him before you render final judgment." * Sabrina smiles and nods, looking to the stairs again. "I will." She looks back to Rhys and her smile brightens. * Rhys smiles at her. "That's a good girl. Now run along and get ready for Kevil's return." * Sabrina nods and gathers her cloak around her. She settles her basket on her arm and gives Rhys one last smile before heading out. * Rhys smiles at Sabrina as she leaves. * Rhys gives the office a sour look. "And now, back to the books." |
