* Meghan is sitting in the library at the top of the tower. The walls are covered in books accept on wall that has a window and a sofa beneath it. There is a large table in the center of the room with 4 chairs around it. Despite the obvious age of the castle the room looks new. * Meghan is sitting on the sofa a book in her hand but she is staring off into the air lost in her thoughts. * Michelle enters the library, carrying to mugs. She sets one on the floor by Meghan, then sits down at the table, pulling a book to her and examining it. * Meghan blinks and looks at Michelle a soft smile coming easily to her face. She reaches down to take the mug and sips still gazing at Michelle * Michelle smiles at Meghan, "Zoning or contemplating the infinite?" * Meghan smiles back "Contemplating, not the infinite but something almost as complicated I have come to realize" * Michelle quirks an eyebrow, "What?" <Meghan> ::softly:: you * Michelle smiles at Meghan, "I'm flattered, but despite the many times I've been told that, I still don't believe I compare to the universal all." * Meghan grins at her but says nothing. * Michelle holds Meghan's gaze and sips her tea. * Meghan sips her tea again and places her mug on the floor then stands and slides into the chair next to Michelle leaning close to look at what book she has. <Meghan> What have you found? * Michelle shows the book to Meghan, "Psionics and the Elemental Planes" * Meghan nods looking closely at the book * Meghan glances back up at Michelle <Michelle> Yes Meghan? * Meghan shakes her head sitting back "I'm just wondering about you." * Michelle sips her tea, "What about me Meghan? I promise I won't lie or hold anything back?" * Meghan nods "I know you won't. You know so many things are different in my life, things I never anticipated having to deal with or make decisions about. Including your feelings about me. I guess I'm just wondering what you want. If you could make my choice for me, about my relationship with you, what would you chose?" * Michelle shakes her head and smiles at Meghan, "And you were doing so well yesterday." * Meghan smiles raising an eyebrow "I'm not asking you to tell me what to do Michelle. I'm not even asking you to suggest. I just want to know what you truly want from our relationship? Where do you want to see it go?" <Michelle> Never even think things like "if someone else could make this choice for me." It weakens your self-confidence. As for what I want, I want your love. I want to help you raise your child, not as a friend, but as the child's parent. ::takes Meghan's hand:: Do you understand? * Meghan nods looking off out the window for a moment before back to Michelle "I understand your point about self confidence." she pauses looking down and her hand in Michelle's and looks back up at the woman. <Meghan> Why do you love me? * Michelle meets Meghan's gaze and smiles, "I can't answer that Meghan. I could list all the reasons I do, and you could almost certainly find someone else who met all those reasons who I wouldn't love." * Meghan nods. * Meghan looks away again thinking for a moment and then looks back "How long have you known that you felt this way about me?" <Michelle> Since the day you moved in. <Michelle> Meghan, don't worry about hurting me. If this isn't what you want, or if it makes you uncomfortable just tell me. I'll understand. * Meghan shakes her head "No it's not that. Since I have been here I have opened myself up to possibilities I never even knew existed and have been able to make choices I never would have had I been back where I came from. <Meghan> I guess I just wonder if your love for me is because you need someone to mother ::she pauses looking closely at Michelle:: * Michelle smiles at Meghan, "You obviously haven't spent enough time around Temire and I. Though as an empath, you should be able to prove or disprove that on your own." * Meghan nods "I can see the love I'm just having a hard time deciding if it is a mentor student love or the love of an equal or partner" <Meghan> And no I have not spent much time around Temire and you together ::she smiles softly:: * Michelle smiles at you, "Part of your confusion is no doubt the fact that I've spent so much time trying to have sisterly, mentoring feelings towards you for fear of harming you with my desires." * Meghan nods "I would tend to agree with you there" * Meghan looks closely at Michelle "But you won't any more will you?" * Michelle sighs, "Not unless you ask me to." <Meghan> ::shakes her head:: No I don't want you to * Meghan pulls Michelle's hand close to her chest "Please show me what you really feel" * Michelle smiles at Meghan. * Meghan smiles softly back * Michelle leans forward and tenderly kisses Meghan. * Meghan kisses Michelle back without hesitation * Michelle sits back down, "That was unfair of me Meghan." * Meghan looks confused * Michelle looks down, "I shouldn't have opened my heart to you like that. It could sway your decision." * Meghan thinks for a moment <Meghan> But shouldn't part of my decision be taking in account your feelings. <Michelle> Yes...But unless you're experienced enough to tell your own feelings from mine, opening myself up to you like that could cause you to mistake my feelings for your own. * Meghan nods "I see your point" <Michelle> I'm sorry. <Meghan> ::shakes her head:: No don't be. I wanted to know how you really felt about me. It was important that I knew that your love for me was not just because you needed someone to care for. But that you truly care for me as an equal. <Michelle> Meghan...I do care for you that way, but you're not my equal. I've been through far too much...But you can be. I saw your potential all those weeks ago in Marsember, and it was reconfirmed yesterday. I want to help you achieve that potential so that you will be my equal. * Meghan nods smiling warmly. <Michelle> Does that answer your questions Meghan? <Meghan> In every way. * Michelle smiles at you. "Well let me know if you have any more." <Meghan> Of course. * Michelle sips her tea, "How much longer do you think you're going to be up here Meghan? I want to know when to start dinner." * Meghan goes back to the sofa and picks up the book she was reading * Meghan looks up at her "Umm maybe another hour" <Michelle> Alright then. Just come down when you're done, it should be ready about then. * Michelle rises and heads out the door, taking her tea with her. * Meghan nods to her offering a soft smile. ************* * Meghan is sitting on the sofa in the library. She has a book on her lap and is reading very intently. The sun shines in through the window making the silver circlet on her head shine and her hair is bright. * Michelle enters once again carrying two mugs, one of which she sets on the floor next to Meghan before taking a seat at the table. * Meghan looks up a somewhat frustrated look on her face that then relaxes as she sees Michelle. She reaches down and takes the mug and takes a sip looking back up at Michelle <Meghan> How is it that you seem to appear at just the right moments? * Michelle giggles and winks at Meghan, "Guess?" * Meghan shakes her head and laughs softly. She tosses the book gently on the floor at her feet and pats the sofa next to her. "Come sit with me. The sunshine is delightful" * Michelle picks up her mug and sits on the couch next to Meghan, "So what are you beating your head against?" * Meghan waves her hand at the book on the floor "Some healing spells I just can't seem to grasp very well" * Michelle pats Meghan's hand, "You just need to learn to think about it the right way. And it's possible healing just isn't something you'll ever be very good at. Empaths usually are, but some can't separate themselves from their patients pain well enough to actually perform the healing. * Meghan sips her tea turning to face Michelle nodding to her "I don't think I will truly know until I have the opportunity to try" * Michelle nods and sips her tea, "You usually don't." * Meghan smiles at Michelle gazing at her * Michelle sips her tea and looks at Meghan, "Yes?" <Meghan> I've been thinking a lot about what you said to me the other day. About how you feel and how I feel, and how it all fits together. ::she pauses looking more closely at Michelle:: * Michelle sets her mug down and turns to face Meghan, "And?" <Meghan> And I care for you, I care for you a lot. And I want to try this and see how it works out. ::she pauses again:: <Michelle> But? <Meghan> ::smiles softly:: no but. I'm not where you are, not yet. But I truly feel I could be and I want to try to be. * Michelle frowns for a moment, then shakes her head and giggles. "Sorry, I'm being a selfish child." Michelle snuggles up next to Meghan and rests her head on Meghan's shoulder. * Meghan brushes her fingers through Michelle's hair. "What were you thinking that made your frown?" * Michelle giggles a little and runs her hand over Meghan's belly, "Wishing this one wasn't on the way so I could show you some of the things you haven't experienced yet." * Meghan places her hand over Michelle's smiling softly "Well we will just have to make due with what we can do for now" <Michelle> Very true. As I said, I was just being a greedy child for a moment there. <Meghan> ::grins:: I think you are allowed every once in a while <Michelle> Michelle grins up at you, "I certainly hope so. Just imagine the punishments all those merchant princes would have accumulated." <Meghan> Merchant princes? <Michelle> Would you have understood me if I said corporate tycoons? <Meghan> ::nods:: I just had to think about it a moment more ::smiles down at Michelle:: * Michelle brushes Meghan's cheek with her hand, "So any other thoughts you'd like to make my day with?" <Meghan> ::laughs softly:: Nothing I can think of right at this moment. But I'm sure I could come up with something if you wanted * Michelle kisses Meghan lightly then nestles back down against her, "I'm always willing to hear wonderful things to brighten my day." * Meghan brushes her lips across Michelle's hair before resting her cheek on her head "I'll do my best to share something wonderful with you every day then" * Michelle sighs, closing her eyes and enjoying the moment, "That will be wonderful." * Meghan smiles kissing Michelle's hair again then reaches for her mug sipping the tea <Michelle> ::in a quiet whisper:: Will it disturb your studies too much if I just take a nap here? You're very comfortable. <Meghan> ::grins down at Michelle:: Well I might not get much studying done...other than studying you maybe ::Winks at her:: but I can't think of a better way to spend the afternoon than being your pillow * Michelle reaches down and picks your book up off the floor, settling it on the couch next to the two of them, "Well here it is if you start feeling guilty." Michelle stretches, then snuggles back down to enjoy her nap. * Meghan smiles and lightly strokes Michelle's hair watching her as she sleeps and very soon after falling asleep herself. |
