* Nacheyla comes downstairs, unlocks the door and walks in. * Nacheyla unlocks the door and walks in. She lights a few candles with a sweep of her hand. * Nacheyla looks up from wiping down the bartop. <Nacheyla> Evening... can I get everyone drinks? * Zoya enters, frowning in deep thought. She navigates to a stool and absently asks for a cider. * Nacheyla pours a cider. * Lisl strides in, pausing in the open door to scan the darkness outside for a moment and nodding to herself before entering. * Meghan follows in shortly after Zoya with a book in her hand. <Zoya> ::absently thanks Nach and picks up the cider, missing the handle a time or two before the mug shifts itself around for her.:: <Nacheyla> Drink Lisl? Megan? * Meghan sits on a barstool. <Meghan> just water please. * Nacheyla pours Meghan a mug of water. <Lisl> Same here, Nach. I've been staring at desert for the past three days. * Nacheyla gives Lisl an odd look. <Nacheyla> Sure enough. ::pours a mug of water:: <Meghan> Thanks. <Nacheyla> Well, any luck? Vallel was home just long enough to say Tyl was missing... * Meghan takes a quick swallow. <Lisl> My thanks. ::picks up her mug and takes a deep draught, sighing:: <Zoya> ::glances up at Lisl's comment:: Did you find the breach? * Meghan looks up at Lisl waiting to hear the latest on the situation. <Lisl> Luck? Sort of. We found the bastard's house, and a few interesting things inside. One of them's thankfully dead. The other's the portal it probably came through. ::frowning a little:: Rhys should be guarding it now...Zoya, Michelle didn't come to the Tower, did she? <Lisl> ::smiling a little at Nach:: Tyl's Guild member's fine, by the way. He was actually rather...cooperative and pleasant. ::sounding surprised:: <Zoya> ::thinks:: I don't think she did. At least, if she came to see me, no one told me about it. Why? Was she supposed to? <Meghan> I have not seen her either <Lisl> Well, she was supposed to find either you or Rhys, preferably both. I know she must've informed Rhys, because he came to relieve me. I thought she would have headed over to you next, but she *was* pretty tired after the catfight.... <Nacheyla> ::raises an eyebrow:: Cat Fight? <Lisl> ::shrugs and has another drink of water, the ghost of a satisfied smile hovering around her lips:: Well, it was a cat, sort of, and we fought it. What else would you call it? <Nacheyla> Well, I'll bet you fought like cats and dogs... ::winks:: <Nacheyla> ::some odd noises sound from outside the Hall:: * Meghan looks up <Lisl> ::grins:: You could say-- ::cocking an ear:: What was that? <Zoya> ::glances at the door, sighs, and goes over to the window and peers out:: * Jelarthna smacks into the wall beside the door at an angle and falls down * Meghan follows Zoya peeking out <Meghan> woah <Lisl> Jel? ::gets up and crosses the Hall, going to the door and opening it to look for an attacker:: * Jelarthna rubs his face and peers up at the wall, gingerly standing and walks into the wall again * Nacheyla raises an eyebrow and peers at Jelarthna <Nacheyla> We've upped the shields again recently... you should try aiming for outside... it'll hurt less... <Lisl> Jel. Door's over *here*. ::peering at him:: You get started on the mulekick early? * Meghan looks slightly confused <Jelarthna> ::looks slightly to the side of Lisl and smiles:: Lisl! ::walks into the wall and falls down again:: <Jelarthna> Ugh! Could you give me a hand here? All this.. solidness is a bit disorienting... <Lisl> ::shakes her head, picking him up despite any possible protests and bodily carrying him inside:: * Jelarthna chuckles <Jelarthna> Thank you, milady. ::grins:: <Nacheyla> ::looks behind Jel with a bit of a grin:: No Xarroch? <Lisl> They're called "walls," Jel. Live with it. ::giving him a puzzled frown:: What *have* you been up to? Taking up the Peeping Tom business? * Meghan watches curiously as she slips back onto her barstool <Nacheyla> ::whispers to Lisl:: <Jelarthna> ::blinks and looks around a few times:: Xarroch had to rest after helping me get out of that place... .<Jelarthna> I've been stuck in Chaos... ::shakes head:: I don't even know for how long... ::tries to sit on a stool and misses by an inch, falling on the floor again:: <Nacheyla> I swear... ::pours him a mug of meade:: You do get into some interesting messes * Meghan looks at Zoya and mouths "Is he ok?" <Zoya> ::frowns at Jel:: And what were you doing there? ::she nods to Meghan:: * Jelarthna bonks his head into the counter trying to stand up and manages to catch hold of the bar as he rubs his head <Lisl> Chaos? ::shakes her head:: No wonder the first place you came was a pub...it's a wonder your mind's not unhinged. Drink. ::puts the mug into his hand, guiding it to his mouth like he was a three year old:: <Lisl> ::nods to Nach as she studies Jel:: Well, do you remember when it was you left? <Jelarthna> Thanks, Lisl. ::smiles at her and proceeds to splash most of the meade on his tunic as he attempts to pour the meade down his cheek * Meghan opens the book in her hand trying not to peek at the man <Jelarthna> ::sighs:: I seem to be mostly okay... The leaving part is still fuzzy, though... Didn't something happen to Temire? ::shakes his head a little:: <Nacheyla> Temire? Yep. She died and came back and got possessed and got unpossessed. Or something... <Lisl> Aside from a small difficulty with solid objects? Ach, you're a wreck. Here, allow me. ::putting her hand around his on the mug, taking hold of his chin, and tipping the mug carefully:: Now swallow before you choke. <Zoya> ::grins:: I'm not entirely certain of the details, myself. <Jelarthna> ::grins a little and swallows:: Thank you again. <Jelarthna> ::blinks a few times:: How long have I been gone? <Nacheyla> Um... ::counts on her fingers:: about five months, I'd say <Jelarthna> Five... five *months*??? <Lisl> That largely covers it. ::frowns in thought:: Moon Dancer came back not too long after, and then Meghan, here, dropped in on us. Ah, that's right. Jel, this is Meghan. Meghan, Jelarthna. No bowing now, you. You'll fall on your nose. ::giving Jel's chin a shake:: * Meghan flips back and forth through the book reading and making notes also sipping her water * Meghan looks up <Meghan> Hello <Nacheyla> And my nephew Vallel proposed to Zoya's Librarian. I think she said No. <Jelarthna> ::starts to bow automatically, then stops:: A pleasure to meet you, Lady Meghan! I'm sorry, but I'm not my normal self just now... * Meghan nods and smiles slightly <Jelarthna> ::sighs a little:: As usually, a great deal going on around here... ::small chuckle:: <Lisl> ::grins a little at Nach:: I think she said she'd think about it, and hasn't gotten up the courage for no. * Meghan nods <Zoya> Actually, I think Glossaria gave poor Vallel an indefinite "maybe". <Meghan> I am getting used to it <Nacheyla> ::laughs:: Poor kid... He's always been an impatient rascal. <Lisl> Still is a lot going on. ::glancing at Nach:: But enough on that 'til after you've gotten your land legs back, alright? <Zoya> ::grins:: A little waiting won't hurt him any, or I'd have told Glossaria to let him off the hook before now. <Jelarthna> ::grins:: At least Glossaria is getting some new experiences. And I don't believe I've met your nephew, Nacheyla. * Meghan glances at Zoya "will she say no?" <Jelarthna> ::cocks at eyebrow at Meghan:: Getting used to it? <Meghan> Thee busyness <Lisl> ::makes a noise between a snort and a chuckle:: Experience is right. <Zoya> ::shrugs:: I'm not sure. If I had to guess, I'd say she'll say "no". I don't think she's ready to settle down just yet. But if he waits long enough, she might change her mind. <Jelarthna> ::looks at Lisl:: is something going on that you don't want me rushing off to do something about, then? * Meghan nods <Nacheyla> Yeah, you should see some of Glossaria's books. I won't even begin to tell you about sprained backs and necks that the boy's had... <Meghan> He is nice. It would be a shame to see him hurt * Jelarthna blushes <Lisl> ::grins at him:: Well, you're mind's definitely not addled. And yes. But don't think that's going to get me to tell you any sooner. <Nacheyla> ::grins at Jelarthna:: Well, if you see a boy about sixteen years old who is pretending to be Jaret Malkier, that's your man... <Zoya> ::laughs:: I'm not sure you know the half of it, Nacheyla. <Nacheyla> Heh... they stay in my house too, you know... <Jelarthna> ::looks slightly worried at Lisl, and starts to open his mouth, then sighs again and chuckles:: Well, you have the right of it. I'm not going to be any use to anyone until I get used to Prime again. <Zoya> Yeah, but she's a healer, so I'm fairly certain you're not actually seeing the worst of the damage. <Zoya> ::grins:: <Jelarthna> Uh-oh. Another Jaret running around? ::laughs:: Can Marsember take it? <Lisl> ::dryly:: It took you well enough. <Nacheyla> Well, he's very popular with the young ladies... but he's got his heart set of Glossaria... there was a student at Tyl's school who was stopping by to see him almost everyday * Jelarthna laughs. <Zoya> ::laughs:: I don't think he's quite up to Jaret's standards, yet. He hasn't quite mastered that air of supreme self-confidence that lends Jaret most of his style, just yet. <Jelarthna> I suppose he just needs some time, then. ::grins:: <Nacheyla> ::grins:: but he did compliment Yb into submission a month or so ago... you have to admit, that was impressive. <Lisl> ::muttering:: Or *something* set on Glossaria, anyway.... * Meghan wonders if she met a Jaret and then shakes her head and goes back to her book <Jelarthna> ::looks eagerly at Nacheyla:: How is Tyl? * Nacheyla turns an interesting shade of blue and starts rubbing the bar fervently. <Jelarthna> It sounds like her school is actually up and running, that's wonderful. ::smiles and looks a bit hazy:: <Lisl> ::looks from Nach to Jel:: From what I hear, very suntanned. <Jelarthna> Complimented Yb into submission? *that's* a new one! <Jelarthna> Suntanned? Is she not here? ::looks a little disappointed:: <Zoya> ::smiles:: She's in trouble, of course, Jelarthna. What else would you expect? But we're taking care of her. <Jelarthna> ::looks around at Zoya and Lisl:: Ah. This is the trouble you don't want me rushing off to do something about, isn't it? <Meghan> Isn't she the one everyone is trying to find? <Jelarthna> FIND? <Lisl> ::winces a little at Meghan's statement and clamps a firm hand on Jel's shoulder:: Yes, find. * Jelarthna straightens up suddenly and wobbles for a moment <Zoya> Jelarthna, there's nothing you can do in your state. As soon as you've recovered, you'll be welcome to help, but in the meantime, you need to rest. * Meghan winces realizing she may have said something she shouldn't have <Lisl> Her school was having some... problems with a competitor of sorts. Matters have recently escalated. * Jelarthna takes a deep breath and tries to relax a little <Nacheyla> Well, ::mutters to the bar:: at least she's recovering from some other problems. <Zoya> ::mutters:: Escalated. Hah! ::frowns suddenly:: Escalated... escalated... That's it! What was that... ::degenerates into muttering magical jargon under her breath:: * Meghan goes back to her book shutting her mouth hard <Jelarthna> Okay... you're right... I can't exactly go haring off right now anyways. So what exactly has happened? <Jelarthna> ::looks around at Nach:: What other problems? <Lisl> :shoots Zoya a puzzled look:: Well, we don't know *exactly.* But she's got an enemy. ::shakes her head warningly at Nach:: <Zoya> ::tosses back her cider:: I have to go check on something. I'll see you later. * Zoya stands and heads for the door, already frowning in deep thought... <Jelarthna> ::looking worried:: Take care, Zoya.... <Lisl> ::raises a hand in farewell as Zoya hurries off:: Damn, I didn't get a chance to tell her about the portal... ::shakes her head:: I'll stop by the Tower later, I guess. * Jelarthna watches the door for a few moments... * Lisl takes another swallow of water while Jel's preoccupied. <Jelarthna> ::sighs and shakes his head, then turns back to Lisl and Nacheyla:: Alright... so what's this other problem she was having? And what do you all know about this competition that's been escalating? ::rubs his head:: * Meghan stretches and drinks more of her water <Nacheyla> ::leans over and whispers to Lisl:: <Lisl> ::nods and murmurs something back:: <Jelarthna> alright you two... why not just tell me everything instead of trying to figure out what I can handle? <Nacheyla> Okay... but first you have to promise to SIT STILL, SHUT UP, and not go anywhere when we get done... <Lisl> ::settles back on her stool:: Probably because of your tendency to go haring off into DEATH when we do. * Meghan looks between the three <Jelarthna> ::a small grin tugs at Jelarthna's lips and he takes a deep breath:: I swear. <Lisl> ::grins at Meghan:: Don't worry, he does this all the time. * Meghan nods to Lisl. <Nacheyla> ::gives Lisl a long look:: Didn't he make a promise to Tyl once to stop haring off into weird dimensions? <Jelarthna> Now *that* was not my fault. <Lisl> ::raises an eyebrow at Jel:: Yes, I know you do, I've heard you. But what will you *promise*, hmmm? <Jelarthna> ::shakes head:: Later... tell me about Tyl now, please. <Lisl> ::under her breath:: I've heard *that* one before. Hell, I've *used* that one before.... <Nacheyla> Well... I don't know that the two problems are related, but several months ago, Tyl started using a drug to enhance her psionic abilities, while doing some psionic surgery... <Jelarthna> ::nods:: on me.... * Jelarthna shivers <Lisl> ::nods:: If they weren't related before, they are now. <Nacheyla> A few weeks ago, Zoya and Yohko sort of bullied her into quitting and she has lost her abilities, in the withdrawal process. <Lisl> Also several months ago, a mage started...picking on her school. Spreading nasty rumors, threatening students, causing "accidents", you know the drill. <Jelarthna> ::makes a small gasp:: She got addicted to the esper weed? <Nacheyla> ::nods:: <Lisl> You know what it is? * Meghan listens quietly <Jelarthna> ::nods:: I know a little about it... not much. <Jelarthna> Do you know who this mage is? <Nacheyla> Anyway, the school got burned to the ground. Vallel actually caused the fire, rescuing one of the other students <Jelarthna> Poor Tyl doesn't have any luck with fire.... <Nacheyla> He was a teacher at the magus school, name of Nargathor. I checked the school the other day though, and he's gone on sabbatical <Lisl> ::grinning a little:: even less now that she teaches a...what did you call it? Not a pyromancer.... <Lisl> ::snorts:: Sabbatical? Is that what they're calling it these days? <Nacheyla> Pyrokinetic. I brought him up here, hoping Tyl could help him control his abilities... he burned down a barn in his home village. <Lisl> Yohko and I also found out that he's probably the guy who brought the supply of the esperweed to town in the first place. <Jelarthna> ::blinks:: This Nargathor? <Lisl> Still can't figure out why he didn't keep it for himself, though, unless...hang on a sec, he was *fishing.* Oooh, that scum... <Nacheyla> Oh, I didn't know that... makes you wonder about other "coincidences" doesn't it? Like the bandits that Yohko and Tyl's students went after and how strong they were <Nacheyla> Fishing? <Jelarthna> Fishing? Bandits? <Lisl> The dealer said "Himself" brought him the plant, created the market here, essentially. He buys regularly, and there are a few other regular clients. Jel, do you know if mages use the stuff, too? <Nacheyla> Tyl and Yohko took some students on a teaching trip... to flush some bandits out of the hills around Waterdeep. Vallel almost got killed and Yohko got badly wounded... not your run of the mill highwaymen <Lisl> ::frowns:: I didn't even *think* to connect that. There was so much else going on...I just thought they were inexperienced. But Tyl and Yohko certainly aren't. <Jelarthna> ::scratches his head:: I don't know of a use for mages... I was under the impression that it was a strictly psionic booster. But all I know other than that is that it can be dangerous. <Lisl> ::sighs:: Great. So, he's psionic, too. Wonderful. <Lisl> That or he's been feeding his damn pets with it. <Jelarthna> Yohko got wounded? Definitely not run of the mill... <Jelarthna> pets? <Jelarthna> Are we talking about people or creatures? <Lisl> Pets. Or rather, pet, now. ::grins that self-satisfied grin again:: We managed to track down his house. There were signs that Tyl had been taken there, that she'd been in his basement. <Jelarthna> ::nods slowly:: But she's not there now, I gather. <Lisl> ::shakes her head:: No, but we think we know where she *has* gone. Or was taken. When Yohko and Michelle and I got there, Tyl was gone, but there was a welcoming party in the basement for us.... <Jelarthna> Of course... what was it? <Lisl> ...big cat-like thing. If a cat could be said to have six legs, a spiked tail, horns, and a *wicked* evil eye.... * Meghan raises her eyebrows <Jelarthna> ::raises an eyebrow:: And I imagine you showed it what you think of cats? <Nacheyla> Sounds... like that thing that attacked the students... Vallel told me about it. <Lisl> ::shakes her head, lip curling a little at the memory:: Yes. I was quite...insistent about it. <Lisl> One of *those* attacked the students? And they *survived*?? ::frowns:: Must've been a cub, or those kids are more powerful than I realized. <Jelarthna> Is that when Vallel burned down the place? Sometimes a power that isn't under control is greater than it might otherwise be... <Nacheyla> That one girl... she has an interesting ability. She can teleport things away from her. <Nacheyla> What's her name? Charoli... I think. <Lisl> Heh...oh, her? Isn't she the one Gloss was jealous about? ::grins and takes another swallow from her mug:: <Nacheyla> ::nods:: She used to stop by the house all the time... to copy notes and things like that. <Lisl> ::chuckles:: I'll just bet she did. <Jelarthna> ::rubs his head:: Okay... so there are two dead psionic cat beasts, one still alive, and Tyl is not in the Nargathor's house, and neither is he... <Lisl> Well, I don't know much about these things myself, but I'd lay odds that that thing was psionic, too. Wait...what do you mean, one still alive? <Lisl> Well, but they are. Sort of. At least, the gate is there. <Jelarthna> There isn't? Sorry... I must still be a little woozy... <Lisl> Understandable. <Jelarthna> A gate? <Lisl> ::raising an eyebrow:: Hm? Oh, right...we left something out. Seems Nargathor's not exactly a local. <Jelarthna> What is it with Tyl making enemies from other planes? I swear, she has more than I do! ::looks a bit exasperated:: <Lisl> Near as we can piece together, he was looking for a strong psionicist to get him back to his world, reopen a gate. And he succeeded, we think, by giving Tyl that drug again. * Jelarthna looks grim <Lisl> ::gives Jel a quelling look:: Two words, lad: Blood Wars. I don't think so. <Nacheyla> Where's he from? <Jelarthna> ::manages a small grin at Lisl:: Well, that's not *personal*. <Lisl> The problem is, according to Rhys, having that gate open could... and probably will... kill our world. Or at least, the things that come through it could. <Jelarthna> The Baatezu and Tanar'ri are trying to kill everyone. <Jelarthna> ::nods:: I would not dispute that. Gates that stand open tend to attract the attention of powerful beings... <Lisl> ::raises an eyebrow:: So your relationship with Xarroch isn't personal either? <Jelarthna> That is, yes. But his enemies only want me dead if I'm in the way. I'm a bug as far as they're concerned. <Lisl> Well, from what Rhys said, these guys would make the gods piss themselves. Like giant, evil, ultra-powerful dragons, he said. <Jelarthna> not good... * Meghan flips through the book she has <Jelarthna> Well... I actually know quite a bit about gates... I'll want to take a look at it. I know at least two spells that can be used to trace it, and I ought to be able to close it if necessary. <Lisl> The place is called...wait a moment...Artus, Allath....something like...Athas! That's it, Athas. It's a desert world-- hot, an utter wasteland. Rhys says the dragons sucked it dry. <Nacheyla> Yucko. <Lisl> Well, you may not want to close it yet....because that's where Tyl and Nargathor have *probably* gone. <Jelarthna> Never heard of the place... <Lisl> ::shakes her head:: After a look at the things that live there, I rather wish I hadn't. <Jelarthna> I certainly won't close it until I'm sure I can get there and back... I probably ought to contact Xarroch if he's managed to rest enough, too... * Meghan shivers a bit <Jelarthna> You've been there, Lisl? <Lisl> We didn't go through...we wanted some backup first, and a sure way back. But I certainly got a look-through. And there was that cat, and the spider...::shakes her head:: luckily, she had *lousy* aim. <Jelarthna> ::looks confused:: Huh? <Meghan> Isn't there some way that someone that someone can just ::searches for a word:: trace Tyl? <Jelarthna> Yes, actually... <Jelarthna> But it's exceedingly difficult to do across planer borders. <Lisl> ::shakes her head:: We tried tossing a rope through, just to see what'd happen. The place looked empty. But as soon as something moved, this giant crystal spider scuttled over the rise and attacked it. <Meghan> I mean if this man found her it would seem that there was something about her that he was able to pick up on and find her. Couldn't we just do the same? <Lisl> So I, like the wiseass I am, waved my arms and yelled to see if the portal went both ways...you know, if she could see me. And she fired this...ray at me. ::runs her hand over her short hair thoughtfully:: On second thought, I guess her aim wasn't *that* bad. <Jelarthna> Hmmm.... * Caludicate peers into the room, slowly inspecting the patrons at the bar...then without much notice walks to a table in the corner and sits. <Nacheyla> Get you a drink, stranger? We're getting ready to close, but I can get you a quick one? <Jelarthna> So we know it's dangerous over there... Okay. Who have you got, and when are you going through? If you give me some time after I'm able to cast some spells I should at least be able to make a gate back from the other side. <Caludicate> ::whispers:: something strong..... <Lisl> ::frowns in thought:: If he's a psionic, that's probably how he tracked her. I'm a hunter, I've got my own methods, and they don't work that way. <Nacheyla> ::pours a mug of dwarven ale:: If that doesn't hang you up, I've got some Mulekick, but I wouldn't advise it. <Jelarthna> ::nods:: Can you track in a desert though, Lisl? <Lisl> ::looks over her shoulder and raises her eyebrow at the stranger:: Be careful what you ask for, in this place. <Caludicate> The Mulekick will do.... * Nacheyla shrugs <Lisl> ::nods:: Not a problem. I've got some desert experience. As long as I've got enough water, I'm fine. <Jelarthna> Oh dear... <Jelarthna> ::nods:: Unfortunately my divination abilities are pretty poor outside of gates and planar travel... <Nacheyla> My niece was a bartender once... she said "Bring him what he asks for, be it piss or poison." So... ::pours a small stone shotglass (shotstone?) half full of a smoking, clear liquid and sets it gingerly on the bar:: DON'T bounce it. It has, explosive properties. <Lisl> And what did we tell *you* about rushing off, Jel? * Jelarthna looks a little more steady and focused * Meghan shakes her head trying not to get to confused <Lisl> ::looks from Jel to Meghan:: It's not catching, I hope? <Jelarthna> I'm not rushing off, Lisl. I *do* want to take a look at that portal, and I'm not going to go through it until I've had a chance to study it and talk with all of you. <Lisl> Jel, you can barely stand up without falling on your head. <Meghan> I can at least let you know what Zoya has had me record so far <Jelarthna> ::nods:: That would help. I know how thorough she is. * Caludicate walks over to his poison....gently taking it in hand...moving his pitch black hair from his face..he downs it quickly. <Meghan> All that would require is sitting and listening * Meghan glances at Lisl <Meghan> Do you think that would be ok Lisl? * Jelarthna manages to sit on a bar stool * Nacheyla watches the stranger... her mouth tucked up in a quirk * Jelarthna looks over at the stranger with some concern <Lisl> ::holds up a finger and opens her mouth to protest when Cal downs the 'kick, but leans back as it touches his lips, shaking her head:: <Nacheyla> I give him about eight seconds to hit the floor... * Meghan glances back at the stranger for a second <Lisl> I dunno...it took Drach nearly thirty. If he's got dwarven blood.... <Jelarthna> I think it took me about two... ::grins:: <Lisl> ::shrugs at Meghan:: Sounds fair to me. I wouldn't mind having a listen myself. I don't plan on going in there unprepared. ::giving Jel a mild glare:: And that should tell *you* something about how I feel about that place. * Meghan nods * Caludicate braces himself against the bar....then guides his shaking hand to his side....and grins.... <Caludicate> That might not be enough to stop the bleeding......pour me another please. <Meghan> Well I need to head back to the tower. Can we plan to get together tomorrow. I will go over everything with Zoya tonight and make sure that I have anything she may have found today <Jelarthna> ::grins at Lisl:: Understood. <Nacheyla> ::looks over at the stranger:: Do you need a cleric, instead? <Lisl> ::raises both eyebrows and turns to inspect the stranger with interest:: <Nacheyla> ::pours another 'kick gingerly:: Last call everyone * Meghan gathers up her book and stands <Meghan> So tomorrow then? <Jelarthna> ::nods hesitantly:: Very well... I'd prefer to know now, but I think I can live with waiting. ::glances at Lisl:: and very possibly won't if I don't... <Lisl> ::nods to Meghan, and smiles:: I'll be there noonish. Good to see you settling in, Meghan. <Nacheyla> Tyl's room is still saved upstairs, if you need a place to sleep tonight, Jel. <Meghan> It would probably be best if you got some rest first <Caludicate> Just give me a room and I'll sleep it off thank you. <Meghan> ::smiles at Lisl:: Thanks. Noon then. Night all. <Nacheyla> The second room on the left is open, stranger... <Jelarthna> ::sighs and shakes his head:: No... I think I need to walk around a bit and try to re-orient myself before I try to sleep. <Lisl> ::giving Jel a lopsided grin:: Not when I get through with you, if you try rushing off anywhere tonight. <Nacheyla> Three coppers a night. <Jelarthna> ::hold up a hand:: No rushing, I promise. Besides, I don't even know where that house is yet, and I'm sure that's not a coincidence... ::winks:: <Caludicate> Fair enough ::lays coin on the bar:: * Meghan turns and heads to the door her book disappearing within the folds of her dress then stops and turns to Jel and Lisl <Meghan> I'm sure we'll find her soon Jelarthna. Sleep well. ::small smile:: <Lisl> Heh. You're getting to know my methods, Jel. I'll have to change them. <Jelarthna> Thank you, Lady Meghan... ::smiles back and manages a small bow:: * Meghan turns and heads out of the Hall into the night <Lisl> ::grabs at Jel's collar when he looks in danger of overbalancing, giving another glance over her shoulder at the stranger:: <Nacheyla> I'll help him upstairs. Shut the door and tell it to lock on your way out <Lisl> If you need, I've got time. I've been bored out of my mind with guard duty...if you want a seeing eye dog of sorts, you've got it, Jel. <Jelarthna> ::grins at Lisl:: Want to walk with me a bit, then? We can discuss alternate methods for you.. * Caludicate walks gingerly to his room. * Jelarthna stands up and offers his arm to Lisl <Lisl> Will do, Nacheyla. ::nods:: And tell 'im any more 'kick he wants is on me.... ::grins:: * Jelarthna chuckles <Jelarthna> Looking for someone to share your drink, eh? <Lisl> ::snorts at Jel and takes his arm with her off-hand, wrapping her arm around his waist with the other to support him:: <Lisl> Impressed with anyone who can. <Jelarthna> ::chuckles and leans just slightly against Lisl as they go out the door:: Who isn't? * Lisl grins and aids Jel out into the night, pushing the door closed with her foot and speaking to it on her way out.:: * Nacheyla shoos her new guest upstairs and blows out the candles. |
