* Moon Dancer walks out from the kitchen, and closes the door to his office as he walks past it towards the bar.

* Moon Dancer picks up a mug, and sets it on the bar. The mug sits and stares at MD for a few moments.

* Mugsy splashes in the kitchen....

* Zoya sweeps through the door, for once not dragging a dusty tome with her. She perches on a barstool and sweeps her white hair out of her face with both hands. "Dancer! You're back!"

* Lisl strides through the door with a smile on her face, her cloak smelling of spring air and loam.

* Tyl limps into the Hall, dragging her left leg... her right arm is bandaged.

<Moon Dancer> ::looks over to Zoya as she enters the Hall:: Zoya! How're you this evening, lass?

<Zoya> Oh, I'm feeling fine! Where on earth have you been?

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs:: Here and there. It's not important. I'm back now, and that's important...

<Zoya> ::sees Tyl:: Goodness, Tyl - what on *earth* happened to you?

<Lisl> Moon Dancer! I'd heard you'd taken over Sealgair's, pup!

<Moon Dancer> ::to Z:: Can I get you something?

* Alranis quietly slips through the door, wrapped in his worn cloak once again. He practically slinks to a stool at the darker end of the bar. "Ah, good. You're open."

* Jelarthna strolls in and hangs his cloak and hat with a flourish.

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Lisl, and does a quick double-take:: Lisl? Is that you?

* Tyl sits very gingerly in a chair.

<Jelarthna> Good evening everyone!

<Tyl> Can I get a rum and ice please, Moon Dancer? A BIG one?

<Zoya> An ale would be wonderful, Tyl. No hurry. ::grins::

* Jelarthna takes stock of the numerous occupants of the room.

* Lisl executing a deep and florid bow, the trademark grey wolf pelt on her shoulder brushing the floor.

* Mugsy wanders out of the kitchen drying himself with a towel and wanders behind the bar.

<Lisl> In the veritable flesh.

* Bai enters, "Been awhile since I've seen the place this busy."

<Tyl> Good evening Zoya... I'm alive, which is more than I thought I'd be this morning...

<Jelarthna> ::walks over to Tyl and Zoya:: Tyl, are you okay? what happened?

<Tyl> ::mutters:: where did she get that damned cat?

* Lisl grins up at MD impishly.

<Jelarthna> Hello Bai!

<Moon Dancer> ::stiff-arms the top of the bar as he leaps over, covering the distance between him and Lisl in half a stride. He grabs Lisl in what would otherwise be a bone-crushing embrace, lifting her off the floor:: LISL! Gods, lass, what brings you to Marsember?!?

* Tyl smiles up at Jelarthna.

<Tyl> I tripped over a cat. How are you?

* Alranis runs his fingers through his somewhat unclean hair.

* Bai walks over to Tyl, "I can heal those wounds for you."

<Moon Dancer> [Boy, methinks I need to type faster...]

<Lisl> [LOL]

<Jelarthna> A far sight better off than you, it seems. ::grins::

<Lisl> [I think I get the idea...]

<Moon Dancer> ::puts Lisl down, and gapes at her as the Hall fills::

<Tyl> ::grins at Bai:: Do you have to put your hands on the wound? It's sort of a tender bit.

* Lisl returns MD's bearhug, her toes dangling off the floor briefly.

<Jelarthna> ::nods to Alranis:: Welcome back, Alranis.

* Jaret walks in. He is dressed in dark green breeches and a white ruffled shirt. He is wearing a dark green jacket over the shirt. His feathered hat is perched on his head.

<Lisl> Oh, ::matching MD's "here and there" tone:: This and that.

<Jelarthna> Jaret!!

<Zoya> ::eyes Alranis, then shrugs and turns to Tyl:: I thought you mind-walkers could heal yourselves...

* Bai touches his staff to Tyl's forehead and mutters a few words. There's a brief white glow. Bai removes his staff, "Feel better?"

<Jaret> ::at his side he is wearing a rapier. The handle is very brightly polished, and gleams like molten silver. The emblem of a crescent moon is embossed on the pommel.::

* Jelarthna rushes over to Jaret.

* Mugsy brings Tyl her rum and ice, carrying the large glass *very* carefully.

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs, and is grinning from ear to ear as he points Lisl to the bar:: Sit! Sit! What can I get you?

<Zoya> ::sees Jaret behind Tyl:: Jaret! You're back, too!

* Alranis nods to Jelarthna. "Evenin'."

* Jaret bows deeply. "Hello, my friends!"

<Jelarthna> Are you okay? what happened? Where did you go?

* Lisl smiles broadly at the sight of the filling Hall. "Just like old times!"

* Tyl sips her rum and smiles up at Bai.

<Moon Dancer> ::walks back behind the bar, and smiles at everyone:: What can I get anyone?! I've been loafing for a few moments, and the Hall is filled from floor to ceiling!

* Jaret grins widely, and embraces Jelarthna. "Where have I been? What happened? Where didn't I go! What didn't happen!"

<Tyl> Much better, thank you...

* Lisl chuckling as she takes a seat at the bar and points to the mule-kick tap.

<Lisl> What do you *think* I'd be having, here?

<Tyl> ::to Zoya:: Where did she get that kitten, Zoya?

* Mugsy rolls his eyes

* Zoya pulls her feet up onto the stool and folds her arms around her knees, staring amazed at the crowd.

<Jelarthna> ::returns the embrace:: It's good to see you. To be honest, I'd been a bit worried...

<Lisl> [Lyon!!!!]

<RobedMan> [Lisl!]

* Bai approaches Jaret and bows, "It's good to have you back Jaret."

<Zoya> ::to Tyl:: She found it in the back alley, I think.

<Tyl> ::shakes head:: strange creature, that kitten.

* Lisl turning to look over her shoulder, raising a hand to wave.

<Moon Dancer> ::grins, and pours a double-shot of 'Kick, and slides it gently to Lisl:: Here ya are, Lisl!

* Jaret releases Jelarthna and embraces Bai as well. "It's good to be back, Bai. Thank you for your kind words."

* Alranis scratches his cheek. "Uh, beer. Weider's, if it's in stock."

<Lisl> Jaret! What, not killed yourself off yet?

<Moon Dancer> ::looks over at Jaret:: Milord Malkier! Good evening! I'm glad you could make it...

* Tyl turns to Jelarthna

<Tyl> Ah, well... guess we won't have to go looking for him after all...

* Bai returns Jaret's embrace, "Just be sure to make thanking Yohko a high priority. I don't know where you found her but she's been teaching your classes as well as I could have."

<Moon Dancer> ::nods to Alranis:: Comin' right up...

<Jaret> ::eyes widen:: Lady Ferinsdottir! You've returned! ::he fairly leaps across the room and sweeps an elegant bow in front of Lisl:: 'Tis wonderful to see you again!

* Lisl taking her mug to hand and raising it for a long draught.

<Jelarthna> ::grins at Tyl:: I guess not, but it's probably just as well.

<RobedMan> ::A stranger enters the Hall through the front/side door. He is dressed in a long, light blue, Oriental style robe, closed at the collar and down the side. The robe hangs just above the top of a pair of soft, leather boots, cut to mid calf.::

<Tyl> ::snaps fingers and gives Jel a wink:: Too bad. I was looking forward to sharing a dream with you...

<Moon Dancer> ::reaches under the bar, and pulls out a bottle of Weider's, which he empties into a waiting mug and hands to Alranis:: Will this do?

<Jelarthna> ::to MD:: Dancer, it's good to see you back as well!

<RobedMan> :: His hair is short on top but grown long and braided into a queue that reaches to just between his shoulder blades. He wears a neatly trimmed goatee and has eyes of an impossible, Harper blue.::

<Lisl> That I have. And you haven't changed a jot, alas! ::chuckling at his courtly bow::

<Moon Dancer> ::to Jel:: Thanks, Jelarthna. It's good to be back, especially on a night like this...

<Jaret> ::eyes twinkling, to Lisl:: And you are still as lovely as a moonlight night.

* Bai approaches Lisl and bows as well, "I apologize for the delay in greeting you properly Lisl." Gestures to Tyl and Jaret, "I had services and messages to deliver. So how has fate been treating you these past few years?"

<Lisl> :: smiling broadly:: Good for me as well...I never thought I'd see so many familiar faces in one place again...and none of them wanting to kill me!

<Jelarthna> ::to Tyl:: It might be interesting at that. I'm sure something else will come up before too long. Something usually does... ::grins::

* Alranis nods as he takes the mug.

<Moon Dancer> ::turns to Lisl:: Fate? How has your husband been treating you, lass?

<Jelarthna> ::to MD:: I know, awfully crowded, isn't it? ::smiles broadly::

<Tyl> ::back to Zoya:: Really, it is a very remarkable kitten. She saved my life by knocking me down a flight of stairs the other night.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Jel:: It is, but it's a welcome change.

* RobedMan strides up to the bar, a broad grin spreading across his face. He looks from Dancer to Lisl and back again.

<Lisl> Bai! ::standing for a brief, warm hug:: It *is* good to see you.

<Zoya> ::blinks:: A *kitten* knocked you down some stairs? And what on earth did she save you *from*?

<Jelarthna> No argument there!

<Lisl> ::to MD:: Actually, we never *did* go through with it. Neither of us were really ready to settle down, alas.

<RobedMan> I was wondering what the pair of you actually looked like. ::chuckles and sits at the bar::

* Bai returns the hug and chuckles, "Would that I could hear your cousin say the same."

<Lisl> ::smiling to show no hard feelings:: We're good friends, Jean Pierre and I, but no more.

<Tyl> ::shrugs:: well, actually, she tripped me. There was a vampire in my house... I didn't even see him. He was hiding near the top of the stairs, and nearly took my head off with a sword.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lisl:: No? Then what *have* you been doing? I assumed you'd married and had children by now, Lisl.

* RobedMan coughs discretely.

<Zoya> Another vampire? I thought you were *done* with that trouble!

* Lisl raising an eyebrow at the Robed Man. "Ah? And who's been spreading our collective fame?

<Tyl> I thought I was too. They just don't give up, do they...?

<Zoya> I suppose not...

<Lisl> [aaah...too...fast...]

<Jelarthna> ::eyes the RobedMan for a moment, then turns to Tyl:: How did it get in?

<Moon Dancer> ::at Lisl's word, MD notices the Robed gent, and smiles:: Welcome to the Meade Hall! Can I get you something this beautiful spring evening, milord?

<Zoya> Sounds like the kitten is very unusual, though. Smart. I guess Cwalindia chose a good one, eh?

<Lisl> ::to Bai:: My cousin? Have you heard from her recently? I'm a horrible letter-writer, we've lost track of each other again.

<Tyl> ::makes a face:: Jacques let him in. He said he was an old friend. Jacques sent him to the library... I got home, went up to see who my guest was, and ended up at the bottom of the stairs in a heap!

<RobedMan> Have you forgotten me so quickly, Dancer? An ale when you've the time.

* Mugsy eyes the robed man curiously

<Zoya> ::laughs:: Ah, that's what happens when your butler becomes accustomed to your scruffy, disreputable friends. He takes to letting just anyone into the library. ::grins::

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at the robed fellow, and pours him an ale. He looks closer at the gentleman, and smiles:: Lion?

<Bai> Not for a few years unfortunately. I came back to Marsember hoping she'd find her way back here. Though officially I'm in town hoping Yb will find her way back here.

<Lisl> ::to MD [tryin' to catch up]:: Me? Children? ::laughs:: Oh, I've done that bit, already, long ago [funny, she only LOOKS 25 or so!]

<Lion> In the flesh. ::smiling like the cat who ate the canary::

<Jaret> ::moves to the bar:: Moon Dancer, my good friend, a goblet of Arabellan Red, when you get a moment.

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs a deep belly laugh:: What is this?!? Is EVERYONE going to show their faces here tonight?

* Lion laughs.

<Lion> I feel like I should have scheduled my return a bit better, too. ::sips his ale deeply::

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Lion:: Is something going on that I don't know about, old friend, or am I just in the middle of an amazing coincidence?

<Zoya> ::beams at Lion:: Lion? Lion! But I thought you had gone- But you were... ::sighs:: I'll never get to hear all the stories I want to hear...

<Jelarthna> ::looks up at the bar:: Lion! Good to see you! It does seem like a reunion of sorts. I wonder what's going to happen, though...

<Tyl> ::low theatrical whisper:: a demon is going to come down the chimney and eat us all....

<Lisl> ::grinning fit to split her face in half:: Lion! I'll be hells-damned! It's been ages, I didn't even recognize you!

* Lion turns and smiles at Zoya and Jel, eyes twinkling. "Good to be seeing you, too."

<Jelarthna> ::grins at Zoya:: It does seem like we won't have enough ears for this, doesn't it?

* Mugsy jumps behind the bar

<Jelarthna> ::to Lion:: How was your trip?

* Mugsy pokes head over the edge looking for the demon.

* Alranis takes a sip from his mug.

* Lisl winks at Tyl. "It's been tried already."

* Jaret looks at Lion, somewhat bemused. "Lion? Really? But... your eyes?"

<Lion> ::to Jel:: A long story, perhaps best for another time.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lion:: Trip? Where did you go, blacksmith?

<Lion> ::to Jaret:: Part of the self same story.

<Jelarthna> ::to Tyl:: You know, that's not particularly funny, given what some of us have been through recently. ::smiles a bit to take the edge off of his words::

<Lion> ::to Dancer:: Shou Lung, my friend, to take care of some business.

<Tyl> ::grins back:: Well, I figure if I say it, it'll be so ridiculous, that it won't happen... again

* Lion turns to Lisl. "An age and more..."

* Zoya briefly considers casting time-hold spells on everyone so she can hear their stories one at a time, sensibly, then decides this is much more fun.

<Lisl> ::raising her eyebrows:: And I thought I'd been far afield!

<Jelarthna> ::laughs:: It's been my experience that when I say things like that, they *do* happen!

<Moon Dancer> ::raises an eyebrow:: Shou Lung? Really, now? I thought you'd never leave your smithy, the rate you've been going...

<Lion> Yes, Shou Lung. I would have agreed with you a few seasons ago. But now...::shrugs::

<Zoya> Will you go back to smithing, Lion?

<Jelarthna> ::turns to Jaret:: May I have a look at your new sword?

<Lion> ::to Zoya:: Not immediately. I have some further business to take care of here, in Marsember. After that, who knows.

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles, and nods:: I understand. We have to catch up. Evidently, we have a lot of things to catch up on, old friend. Eyesight, for one, trips halfway around the world, for another...

<Tyl> ::to Zoya:: Wow, it's loud in here. I was wondering, though, if you were interested in doing me a favor?

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs:: You can always have a job here, Lion.

* Lion nods to Dancer. "Yes," sips his ale, "much to catch up on indeed."

<Lisl> ::looking musingly at Lion, remembering a few things:: Yes, responsibilities can take us a lot of unexpected places...

<Jaret> ::to Jelarthna:: Of course, as long as you're not too flagrant with it ::grins, un-peaceknots the sword, and offers its hilt to Jelarthna::

<Zoya> ::to Tyl:: Well, of course it depends on the favor, but I'm certainly willing to hear you out. ::grins::

<Tyl> I was wondering if you could make some sort of magical device to detect psionics?

* Bai goes to examine Jaret's new sword as well.

* Moon Dancer shakes his head, to clear his thoughts of all the tangents he's missed this evening, and pours himself an ale.

<Jelarthna> ::smiles at Jaret:: I don't think you need to worry about that my friend. You treated my sword well, and I certainly would do the same for you.

* Lion chuckles, then says to Dancer, "A job? Well, we'll see. I can always go back to smithing if I need or want to. I'm just not sure what I want to do, yet."

* Lisl takes a sip of her 'kick, smiling and shaking her head.

* Jelarthna takes Jaret's sword and examines it, testing the balance and feel, etc.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lion:: You left the smith in one of your apprentice's hands, I assume?

<Zoya> ::frowns:: Well, I'm certainly willing to *try*, but it might take a while to devise such a thing. How much time per day can you give me to experiment on your powers?

<Lion> Yes, in James' capable hands.

<Tyl> Well, you are certainly welcome to come sit in on my sessions with Cwal...

<Bai> ::to Jaret:: So what's its name?

<Moon Dancer> ::frowns:: James? Damn, it has been awhile since I visited the smith. I didn't think he was close to ready, last I saw him. Goody Bidall approved, of course?

<Jaret> ::to Bai:: It's rather simple. The Blade of the Crescent Moon.

<Zoya> Mmm. Would you be able to teach her with me taking readings and measurements?

<Jelarthna> ::the sword gleams almost silver in the hall's lighting, and even accounting for Jelarthna's skill, it's movements are particularly precise and fluid::

* Lisl adjusting her stool to sit sideways to the bar, glancing between her old friends at the bar and the group around the sword.

* Jelarthna finds and shows Bai the crescent moon symbol embossed on the hilt.

<Bai> There's definitely a story behind a name like that. We'll have to find some quest to travel on so I can hear it. ::Bai smiles::

<Jelarthna> ::almost reverently hands the sword back to Jaret:: It's a magnificent blade!

<Jaret> Thank you. I'm quite happy with it ::resheathes & peaceknots the sword::

<Tyl> ::slaps forehead:: oh! I nearly forgot... ::reaches into her pocket and pulls out a small packet::

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lisl:: So, lass. You still haven't answered my question; what brings you back to Marsember?

<Tyl> Moon Dancer, I have something for you!

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Tyl:: Aye? What's that, lass?

<Bai> Are you going to get a match for it, or have you decided to trying using a single blade for a while?

<Jelarthna> ::smiles at Bai:: Nothing wrong with wielding one blade at a time, Bai.

<Tyl> ::hands him a small packet::

<Jaret> I'm happy with the single blade. So, yes.

<Lisl> ::grinning impishly:: I thought I'd told you..."this and that." Can't take a helping of your own, pup? ::evil grin::

* Bai touches his katana and smiles, "I know, I've just never seen Jaret do so"

* Lion sighs and takes a sip of his ale.

<Moon Dancer> ::takes the packet, and smiles at Lisl:: I can. I can be persistent, too...

<Jaret> I thought it would be good for me to try something a little... different, for a while.

<Tyl> ::back to Zoya:: hmmm. I don't know. Distraction is hard to work through, at first... but as you get better, distractions become necessary...

<Lisl> ::wrinkling her nose at him:: Don't you mean "dogged"?

<Lion> ::to Dancer:: Well, she was hesitant at first, but once she saw I was resolved to go, I think she agreed it was best.

<Bai> I can certainly understand that. I'd never have thought I'd be using a staff when I was younger.

<Jelarthna> I definitely need to hear about your journey, Jaret. Whatever you can tell me, anyway.

<Zoya> Well, if you're not in a hurry for it, I can watch quietly for a while, and then start taking readings when she's skilled enough to handle some distraction.

<Moon Dancer> ::opens the packet as he winces:: Bad pun, Lisl. For that, you _have_ to tell me.

<Jaret> It's a long story, Jelarthna. But I promise I'll tell it to you, when I understand it all.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lion:: Aye, Goody Bee can be reasonable, on occasion.

<Jelarthna> ::nods to Jaret:: One of those, eh? Well, it's good to have you back nonetheless.

<Lion> On occasion. ::laughs:: I'd say, oh, about twice a decade, to be more precise.

<Jaret> ::smiling widely, to Jelarthna:: I'm very glad to be back.

<Lisl> ::laughing:: Honestly, I don't really know what brought me back. I've been wandering rather far afield the last seven years or so...I guess I just had a yearning for a friendly, familiar place.

<Tyl> ::grins at Jaret:: yeah, I know a certain young bartender who'll be very glad to see you!

<Jelarthna> And none the worse for wear, it appears. DO you know a fellow by the name of... hmm, was it Adiethian?

<Lion> Well, I for one am glad you returned, dear friend. ::raises his mug to Lisl::

<Lisl> Honestly, I expected the old Hall to have been burned down or sacked long ago. ::patting the scarred bar affectionately::

<Jaret> ::Jaret's expression gets a little somber at Tyl's statement:: Yes. I know.

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles at Lisl:: Friendly, you've found. If you need a second home, this is the place.

<Tyl> ::makes a face:: oops

<Moon Dancer> ::looks inside the packet Tyl handed him, and frowns:: Where did you find this?

<Tyl> I didn't find it... I made it.

<Jaret> Adiethian! Yes! He's a lieutenant in the... ::looks around:: ... um, Purple Dragons. Has he been around?

* Alranis takes a drink from his mug and notices it has become empty.

<Jelarthna> Yes, he's showed up here asking about you a couple of times. Very quiet fellow. Is he a friend of yours?

* Mugsy brings Alranis a refill

<Zoya> ::laughs quite suddenly:: You've friends in the 'Dragons, Jaret? You're not quite the rakehell you'd have us believe, then! ::winks::

<Moon Dancer> ::glances at Jaret's mention of the Dragons, and then looks at Tyl:: Made it? Where did you find the ... raw materials?

<Lisl> Frankly, I'm glad I'm back as well...and glad to see so many old, familiar faces back as well! ::putting a friendly hand on Lion's shoulder::

<Jelarthna> ::looks at Zoya:: Rakehell??

<Jaret> ::to Jelarthna:: I'll admit I don't know him very well, but you can count him as a friend of mine, yes.

* Alranis looks slightly askance at Mugsy, but gravely nods his thanks anyways.

<Tyl> ::grins:: just about everywhere.... two nights ago, there were raw materials in my house!

* Lion puts his hand on Lisl's. "Here, here."

* Lion casts Lisl a sidelong glance as he sips from his mug.

<Zoya> ::looks innocently back at Jaret::

<Jelarthna> ::nods to Jaret:: Okay, that's good. I was a bit close-mouthed around him, mainly because he showed up asking about you right after you left. I was a bit suspicious, I'm afraid.

<Lisl> ::glancing back at MD:: Frankly, if there's anywhere I'd settle, it'd be this town. Of course, my mother would kill me from afar if I settled anywhere *further* away.

<Jaret> ::to Jelarthna:: That's all right. It's good that you were concerned. Thank you.

<Jelarthna> I hope I'm not getting too cynical now... ::smiles and shakes head::

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs at Lisl's comment:: Aye, she might try, but she'd have to come through the likes of us first, lass. And, after killing all of us, I think she might pause to actually appreciate Marsember...

<Lisl> ::flashes a grin at Lion:: Thankfully, some things *have* changed.

* Lion chuckles. "Well, my nearest kin--I guess that's what they are--are in Shou Lung. Is your mother farther than that?"

<Jelarthna> So what have you been up to, Bai?

<Lisl> ::returning MD's laugh:: You obviously haven't met my mother...and I'll remind you, pup, that she's *MY* mother...just think of what that means.

* Lion raises an eyebrow at Lisl's last comment. "Oh? Like what, say?"

<Lisl> ::shakes her head:: much closer...::nods northward:: she lives in the wood to the north of Marsember.

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles at Lisl:: Aye, I did think of that. That's why I didn't expect to survive our first meeting...

<Bai> Cleaning up after Yb, looking in on Jaret's classes occasionally, and looking for Lini'leah.

<Moon Dancer> ::turns and says sidelong to Bai:: Lini? Any luck yet, Bai?

<Lisl> I'm not near as standoffish as I used to be, for one...a few good experiences can account for many bad ones.

* Bai shakes his head, "Lisl's return is the best lead I've had in nearly a year."

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Bai:: Oh. I'm sorry, Bai. Lisl, while good company, isn't much of a lead...

<Lion> Indeed, ::to Lisl:: indeed.

* Bai smiles, "I'll settle for good company."

<Lisl> ::raising her eyebrows at MD:: She *is* my cousin, 'Dancer. Little enough that I write, for all that...

<Jelarthna> ::looks thoughtful for a moment, then snaps his fingers and walks over to the bar:: Dancer, I'd like some Ale, please.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lisl:: I know, I know. Honestly, though, you have any idea where she is?

* Tyl sips her rum and stares at the puddle of condensation on the table top

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles at Jel:: Of course, Jelarthna.

<Lisl> ::smiling at Lion:: Sounds like a story of your own in that, I'd say...

<Moon Dancer> ::pours a quick mug of ale, and hands it to Jel:: Compliments of the house...

<Lion> Hm, I guess I wouldn't mind seeing Lini, again. I think she'd be in for a shocking surprise. ::taps his temple with a finger::

<Jelarthna> ::grins at MD:: Thanks!

<Lion> Hm? ::to Lisl:: I've many new stories, many indeed. All I want is for the time to tell them. ::smiles::

<Lisl> ::shakes her head ruefully as she takes another sip of 'kick:: She's more of a wanderer than I...after all, I have *some* standards. ::grinning slightly:: But I did get a letter from her...hmmm...a few weeks agone, i think.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lisl:: Really? Now, that is a surprise. I honestly didn't expect to hear that, Lisl. You're just full of surprises tonight. You're here, you heard from Lini, you're not married...

* Jelarthna looks around a bit at the general confusion and seems to succumb a bit, and just drinks some ale for the moment.

<Lisl> ::Lion:: I think I could trade a few new tales for those, myself. ::leaning a little closer:: I got introduced to a bit of planes-walking...

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles to Lisl:: Planes-walking? Is fun, no?

<Lion> ::conspiratorially to Lisl:: You don't say? ::winks::

<Lion> [been doing that for years but no one's ever seen it]

<Jelarthna> ::looks over at Lisl:: Planar Travel? Now there's an interesting pastime. I did quite a bit of that myself in the past few years.

<Lisl> ::chuckling at MD:: And what of you, for that? Any pups of your own?

* Zoya is trying to follow all conversations at once. Erdian only knows how she'll reconstruct the individual conversations later...

* Alranis smiles at his mug as he takes another sip.

<Lisl> ::(yep, Erdian prolly DOES know!) shaking her head:: And here I thought I was ahead of the fad...

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs hard, and slaps a hand down on the bar:: Well, I guess I had that coming, didn't I?

<Lisl> ...for ONCE.

* Lion leans back on his stool and finishes his ale.

<Jelarthna> I had some friends I was traveling with. ::looks somber::

* Tyl draws pictures on the table top with condensation, humming under her breath

<Lisl> Of course you did. ::grinning evilly:: For all that you're barely out of milk-teeth, yourself!

<Jelarthna> ::shakes his head:: At least one of them is still left.

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles:: Barely out of milk-teeth? Maybe for here, lass, but not for where I'm from.

<Lisl> ::nodding at Jel, serious for a moment:: Aye, I know how that is.

<Lisl> ::right back at MD:: Yes, but *here* we have *standards*, you see.

<Jelarthna> ::chuckles::

* Bai chuckles.

<Lisl> ::kneeling on her stool and reaching quickly over the counter to ruffle MD's hair:: Pup.

<Moon Dancer> ::grins:: Standards, such as they are Lisl. Such as they are.

<Lisl> Aye, that's true...after all, those standards let *me* slip in too, didn't they?

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles:: I wasn't going to say it, out of respect for my... ::grins widely:: ...elders.

<Lisl> ::impish smile at MD, a hint of yellow glinting in her eyes...or maybe it was the light?:: Why do I feel like I've just been insulted somehow?

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs hard:: Insulted?!? Me? Insult you? Never, lass! The thought never crossed my mind!

<Jelarthna> Dancer, there's something you might want to know, if you haven't heard yet...

* Tyl finished off her glass of rum

<Jelarthna> ::to Lisl:: Sorry to interrupt...

<Lisl> ::snorting:: Hmmm....maybe the years have been too soft on you, 'Dancer...I should teach you another lesson, perhaps?

<Moon Dancer> ::to Jel:: What's that, Jelarthna?

<Lion> Dancer, could I get another ale, please? ::nudges his empty mug across the bar::

<Lisl> ::to Jel:: No worry. I was just getting the best of him, anyway. ^_^

<Jelarthna> Someone has been skulking around the Hall a bit recently. I don't know how serious it is. Someone was watching the place a couple of weeks ago.

<Jelarthna> And according to Michelle, someone also tried to break in a bout a week ago.

<Jelarthna> ::grins at Lisl:: That's not *too* uncommon...

<Moon Dancer> ::fills Lion's ale as he talks to Jel:: Aye, I'd heard as much. Anyone have an idea who it might be?

<Lion> ::to Jel:: Someone tried to break in?

<Tyl> Well, there was some stranger in one night asking about you, Moon Dancer...

* Alranis rubs his chin before taking another drink.

<Bai> 'Fraid not. I'm so busy looking after Yb, I just assumed this places well deserved reputation would be enough.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Tyl:: Aye? ::shrugs:: Doesn't surprise me, to be honest.

<Jelarthna> ::to Lion:: Apparently. Michelle told me about it, I don't know the details.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Jel:: Hmmm. Interesting. About a week ago, you say? I'll have to ask the silverware and the pottery what they know.

<Tyl> ::grins:: well, it doesn't surprise me either, but I thought maybe Mr. Skulker was the fellow asking about you... keeping an eye out 'til you came back, perhaps...

<Jelarthna> I've been wandering around once in a while, but I only spotted someone on the roof across from the "front" door the one time.

<Lion> Interesting...

<Moon Dancer> ::to Jel:: On the roof? A somewhat accomplished skulker, then?

* Lion sips his ale and closes his eyes.

<Tyl> Actually, the roof is a good place to be, if you don't want people to notice you... most people don't look up when they walk... <grins> not that I would know anything about it

* Jaret is looking at everyone around him, a wide smile on his face.

<Jelarthna> I think so. I got the feeling that I only saw the person because of a mistake...

<Bai> :: to Jaret:: Know something or just happy to be back? ::smile::

<Moon Dancer> ::to Jel:: That's the problem with thieves. So many of them only think in terms of one sense...

<Jelarthna> ::shakes head:: I'm normally not all *that* observant. ::grins::

<Lisl> Hmmm....least amount of security up there, too, as I recall.

<Jaret> ::to Bai:: Happy to be back!

<Tyl> ::coughs and gives Moon Dancer an indignant glare::

<Lisl> ::pokes MD across the bar at the "sense" comment::

<Jelarthna> ::grins at MD::

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Lisl:: What was that for?

* Lion chuckles and opens his eyes.

* Jaret approaches Jelarthna. "How good of a look did you get of this miscreant?"

<Tyl> ::mutters under her breath::

<Jelarthna> Not very. The figure was low to the roof, and just a touch too close to the edge.

<Lisl> ::turning an amused smile on Tyl:: Why so upset? I thought you didn't know anything about the thieving trade.

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs:: 'Miscreant'. Milord Malkier, I've missed your mannerisms, and your company...

<Jaret> Did you see anything you could use to identify the person? Clothing? An odd hat?

<Tyl> Well, there are thieves who are *very* intelligent, you know.

<Jelarthna> Well maybe if the two of you didn't wander off so much... ::grins::

<Jelarthna> Afraid not, just dark clothing and hood.

* Lion sips his ale.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Tyl:: Aye, there are. The majority, it seems, are not. Present company excluded for obvious reasons.

<Jelarthna> Very intelligent including not trying to break into the hall? ::grins::

* Lisl chuckles and sips her 'kick.

<Jaret> ::brow furrows and he sighs:: Then there's no recourse for it.

<Lisl> Not much here to steal tho', is there? Besides perhaps the tap system, which I don't think you could get through the front door? (Or any other door, for that matter!)

<Jelarthna> ::a wisp of a breeze blows some mule kick fumes into Jel's face, who coughs and blinks wildly for a moment before taking a step back.::

<Bai> No recourse for what Jaret?

<Lisl> [chuckle]

<Jelarthna> How can you *drink* that?

<Jelarthna> ::cough::

* Lion pulls a scrap of parchment out of his pocket and runs a finger over the characters scrawled on it.

<Lisl> ::amused glance at Jel:: Like this. ::raising her mug and taking a long draught before holding it out to Jel:: Would you like to try some? ::an impish gleam dances in the depth of her eyes::

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Lion:: Reading, Lion?

<Jaret> If we can't identify this mysterious watcher, possibly a burglar, I shall take to the islands, and confront the blackhearts there, and see what those cowardly rabble know about this. All sorts of dark talk seeps into the walls of those places, and they might know what is going on.

<Jelarthna> ::shakes head wildly:: No thanks, been down that path, and I don't want to take it again!

<Lion> Hm, ::looks up:: Yes. Something one of the masters at the monastery gave me. A couple of names.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lion:: Names? What sort?

<Jelarthna> Take to the islands? Which islands?

<Lisl> :: coughs to cover a laugh at Jaret's speech:: How do you know where they're from, if you don't know who they are?

<Lion> Well this one...::points to a series of characters, painted in short, sure strokes:: Is Kwai Lo Shiang an...informant I was told I could find here, in Marsember.

* Bai shakes his head, "I'd have thought it would be easier to just lie in wait for them here. But I suppose there can't be that many people on the Pleasure Island that are insane enough to try to break in here.

* Jelarthna glances over at Lion's scroll and looks perplexed.

<Jaret> The islands of the Starmouth. The viler areas of Marsember. And I may not know who they are, but I can ask who those villains know who would try to assault this gathering place.

<Moon Dancer> ::frowns:: Informant? ::looks at Lion, a little curiously:: What have you been getting yourself into, blacksmith?

<Bai> Course, the problem is, if it isn't anyone on the Pleasure Island, or if they happen to be good at keeping secrets we'll give away the fact that we know about it.

* Lion closes his eyes and rubs his lids, lightly.

<Lion> I sometimes ask myself the same thing, Dancer.

<Tyl> hmmm... <looks up suddenly> Could you get me a piece of the roof across the street where he was standing? Sometimes I can get impressions from objects that were close to someone, especially if there are strong emotions attached to the person

<Lisl> ::making a brave attempt at a straight face:: Alas, Jaret...not everyone is as honorable as we might hope. I doubt they'd give up their colleagues, even if they knew.

<Moon Dancer> ::shakes his head:: No, seriously Lion. What is all this talk of informants and business to do in Marsember? It doesn't sound like you...

* Lion opens his eyes and indicates the next set of characters. "This is Hu Bao Zhou, a sort of criminal underground in Shou Lung, with agents around the rest of Faerūn, it seems."

<Jelarthna> I... suppose I could. It's right over there. ::points out the door::

* Lion looks Dancer squarely in the eye, a somewhat unnerving experience.

<Tyl> well, you're the one who saw him... find something near where he was standing... I wouldn't want to accuse an "innocent" burglar, you know... <grins>

<Lion> These people are apparently responsible for my master's death.

<Moon Dancer> ::raises an eyebrow:: And there are informants who link them here? With the Dragons and Harpers patrolling the town?

<Jelarthna> ::stares at Lion::

<Lisl> ::under her breath, in response to MD's comment about Lion:: oh yes it does...

<Lion> Yes, Dancer. They are very adept at remaining hidden. Even the vigilance of the Dragons and the Harpers has not kept them out of Marsember--or many other cities, I'm afraid.

<Moon Dancer> ::nods:: I see. That's why you went to Shou Lung, then?

<Jelarthna> ::shakes his head and heads for the door:: I'll get a piece now, Tyl.

* Jelarthna walks outside

* Tyl watches Jelarthna and sighs...

<Lion> Well, I went to Shou Lung at the behest of my master's brotherhood. Have I explained why he was exiled from Shou Lung, before?

* Lion sips his ale.

<Moon Dancer> ::shakes his head:: Honestly, you haven't said much about Shou Lung, and I haven't wanted to pry...

<Lisl> ::shakes her head as well:: You never talked much about your past...::snort:: as if any of us did!

* Jelarthna comes back into the Hall, floating about an inch above the ground. He drifts over to Tyl and hands her a piece of a shingle.

<Tyl> ::grins:: that must be fun. I wish I could fly.

<Jelarthna> Here you go. Hope you can make something out of that...

<Zoya> ::eyes Jel, smiling secretively::

<Jelarthna> ::looks down, and seems startled:: Ooops!

<Lion> Well, my master was thought to have been responsible for the murder of one of his brethren and was exiled for it. He wandered for a time, finally settling here, in Marsember, and adopting me from the streets where I was an orphan.

* Jelarthna land on his feet.

<Moon Dancer> ::nods to Lisl:: You've got a point there, my tight-lipped friend. Maybe I can find Jean Pierre and ask him what you've been doing... ::smiles at Lisl for a few moments::

* Tyl closes her eyes and concentrates

* Tyl pops one eye open...

<Lisl> ::smug grin:: Ha! He wouldn't tell you, either. And I've not seen him for these past few years, at least.

<Tyl> Here's your chance to examine me, Zoya!

* Tyl closes her eyes again

<Zoya> ::watches Tyl with interest, grinning::

* Lion sighs and sips his ale.

<Zoya> ::quietly:: But I don't have any way to take readings... ::shrugs::

<Lion> Anyway, a few seasons back, a message came, saying that my master had been exonerated and asking that his only know student, me, bring his mortal remains back to the monastery for proper honors.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lion:: I don't think I ever met him, Lion. I'm sorry to have missed the chance. ::frowns:: When did he die?

<Lisl> ::raising both eyebrows:: Exonerated? Then they knew the true culprits?

<Jelarthna> ::to Zoya:: How exactly would one measure or take readings on mind powers, though?

<Lion> ::to MD:: A few years ago. You would have liked him, and him you, I'm sure. ::to Lisl:: Well, one of the acolytes at the time confessed to witnessing the actual murder and bearing false witness against my master. Seems he had a sudden bout of honor on his deathbed, facing his eternal fate.

* Tyl opens her eyes again

<Zoya> ::grins at Jel:: I don't know. That's why it's going to take a while.

<Tyl> Huh... I think he was angry that you saw him, but other than that, I can't get much. I might know him, if I saw him, but not likely

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles:: As it often happens. Did he point the finger before he died, or just leave clues?

<Jelarthna> Do you think maybe Curdswell could come up with something?

<Jelarthna> ::grins at Tyl:: That's something at least, even if it isn't much. Thanks.

<Lisl> ::mirthless chuckle:: that's stood me in good stead a few times in the past, as well...of course, I'm generally the one *showing* them said fate.

<Tyl> He's definitely not a demon, though. That much I'm sure of

<Jelarthna> ::sighs a bit:: That's good to know.

* Lion shakes his head. "He only left some fragmented clues. Primarily he indicated the Hu Bao Zhou were responsible.

<Moon Dancer> ::nods:: And these are the people you trailed here?

<Lisl> ::shakes her head:: I take it you know of them, then?

<Lion> And my masters brethren--my brethren, now--gave me Kwai Lo Shiang's name, knowing I meant to return to Marsember.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lion, stiffening his back:: You realize, of course, you're not searching for them alone old friend...

<Lion> They also had some intelligence to share about my parents. ::brow furrows, his expression growing dark::

<Lisl> ::eyes narrowing:: Is this Kwai Lo Shiang <stumbling a bit over the name> one of them, then? Or merely an informant?

<Lisl> ::nods agreement with MD::

* Lion looks up to Dancer, his expression lightening. "Thank you." He turns to Lisl. "He is a very low ranking member. He may run with the local thieves and/or assassins guild, hereabouts, too."

<Moon Dancer> ::takes a drink from his nearly-forgotten mug of ale, and smiles at Lisl::

<Lisl> ::smiling:: the few that still exist, between the Dragons, the War Wizards, and the Harpers...

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles to himself:: I've gotten so accustomed to running the 'Hall, and traveling outside of the Hall, that I'd fooled myself into believing the Dragon and Harper propaganda about the Guilds...

<Lion> Well that, at least, may make finding him easier. ::to Lisl::

<Jelarthna> Lion, you can definitely call upon my aid if you need it. ::grins:: Especially now that I'm up to par with my spellcasting again.

<Zoya> ::smiles::

<Lisl> That, if anything, will make your task more difficult...authority has done a fairly good job of quashing any organization that exists, leaving little to trace through.

* Lion nods to Jel. "My thanks, but I have much investigation to do before there is any call for action."

* Bai shakes his head, "I'm definitely going to be busy, helping Lion, looking for whoever's so interested in the Hall, and keeping tabs on Yb. OH, and catching up with everyone else's tales.

<Jelarthna> ::blinks and looks at Zoya:: Am I only good at action?

<Lisl> ::smiling:: Maybe we'll get lucky, and it'll turn out to be linked.

<Tyl> ::looks over at Jel::

<Zoya> ::laughs:: That's not the only thing you're good at, but it's certainly your shining star.

* Bai smiles, "That would be a pleasant surprise wouldn't it." ::to Lisl::

* Tyl mutters into her empty mug of rum

<Jelarthna> Hmmm. ::scratches his head:: What do you think, Tyl?

<Jelarthna> Or you, Bai?

<Jelarthna> Am I really that much of a brute? ::looks thoughtful::

<Lisl> ::grinning sidelong at Bai:: It wouldn't be the first time problems of ours had turned out to be one and the same thing...

<Tyl> ::smiles:: I think you are fairly "active"... but also concerned about your friends, thoughtful, considerate, good with magic, and intelligent.

<Zoya> ::protesting:: It's not brutishness, Jelarthna. More like... enthusiasm.

<Bai> Jelarthna, investigations like these need to be done subtly...Preferably by one or two people who know the appropriate culture. That being said, I'm not particularly good at it myself.

* Lion smiles around at those who have offered their aid. "I'm afraid I must do this alone, at least these early investigations. Fear not, should I need help, I will most certainly ask."

<Jelarthna> ::smiles at Tyl:: Thanks, but you should be careful about swelling my head that much...

<Tyl> Oh, I doubt that...

<Jelarthna> I'm going to have to think about this...

<Tyl> ::blink:: think about what?

<Lisl> ::smile at Jel:: Oh, we could pop it for you, too, if you really wanted...

* Lion sips his ale.

<Jelarthna> ::to Tyl:: me...

<Lisl> ::to Lion:: Just be sure that you do. None of that heroic loner business for you again.

* Bai chuckles, "Let's try not to be as blunt about it as Lini used to be though."

<Jelarthna> ::to Lisl, with a half-grin:: Gee, thanks.

* Lion chuckles. "Like I could stop you from helping out if I tried."

<Lisl> ::to Bai:: You're one to be blaming Lini for bluntness. A matched set, you were!

<Tyl> ::half-serious look:: thinking about yourself too much is definitely a sign of a swelling head... ::grin::

<Bai> Yeah, but I never ran Moon Dancer through because I wanted to put him in his place. ::grins::

<Jelarthna> ::laughs:: I guess I'll have to ask Lisl to keep an eye on it's size, then.

<Jelarthna> ::looks at Bai, shocked:: What?!

<Moon Dancer> ::MD glances towards the kitchen, as one of the mugs walks back to clean itself:: That's odd...

<Tyl> ::blinks at Bai::

<Lion> ::to MD:: Odd? What?

<Lisl> ::to Lion, with a sly grin:: Well, it would be fun for you to *try*...

* Lion laughs at Lisl comment. "Depends on your definition of fun, I suppose."

<Lisl> ::to Bai:: Nah, you just tried to poison me and run *me* through. BIG difference. ::with a chuckle, to show it's in the past::

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lion:: Nothing much. Just trying to figure out how we ended up with an extra mug walking about...

<Lion> An extra? I didn't know you kept track...

<Lisl> ::raises her eyebrows at Lion:: And yours differs so broadly from mine? Come now, do I know you that poorly?

* Bai chuckles, "True."

<Jelarthna> ::looks between Bai, MD, and Lisl and mutters:: Maybe it's just as well I *didn't* know them back then...

<Tyl> I'll drink to that, Jelarthna... ::goes to take a swig of rum, realizes glass is empty::

* Lion chuckles at Lisl's retort. "You've caught me out. But I must warn you, I've learned some new tricks these last few months abroad." He casts her a wicked grin.

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles:: Keep track? Not so much, but it's not often we have extra mugs just wandering to the back. They either are in someone's hand, on someone's table, or waiting for a refill...

<Tyl> ::grins:: maybe it's a spy mug!

<Lisl> ::gives Jel a "toldja" grin over her shoulder, and turns back to Lion:: Even better. I haven't had a decent workout in *years*

<Lisl> [pictures a tankard in dark sunglasses and a fedora and falls over laughing]

<Jelarthna> ::grins back at Lisl, halfway convinced she'll see it with her head turned::

* Lion cracks his knuckles. "You're on. When and where?"

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Tyl, smiling:: You _are_ joking, right?

<Tyl> ::shakes head:: hey, you never know...

<Jelarthna> Hmmm. Speaking of workouts, when are you going to get back to your school, Jaret?

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Lion and Lisl, thinking he may have to separate two egos:: Now kids, let's keep the bar clean tonight, please...

<Jaret> Of course! I believe the next scheduled lesson should be tomorrow! I intend to resume my duties immediately.

<Tyl> When spying, the best way is to be low key - unnoticeable, blend in... maids, cook's assistants, stuff like that...

<Jelarthna> ::smiles:: It's nice to see things getting back to normal, then.

<Lisl> ::spreads her arms wide:: Whenever you're free. I've no similar commitments, so I've got simply loads of time.

<Lisl> Aww, I wouldn't fight *here*, MD. Not unless it was with *you* again. ::grinning::

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs:: Now, this is starting to sound interesting. ::looks at Lisl:: Would you at least keep it a clean fight?

* Lion chuckles.

<Zoya> ::watches with interest...::

<Tyl> so... if I were trying to infiltrate the Hall, finding a mage to make me look like some of your animated glasses would be a good start. Or a new patron...

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles at Lisl:: Well, I wouldn't want to embarrass you, lass, in front of all your friends...

<Moon Dancer> ::to Tyl:: True. But, why would you infiltrate the Hall?

* Bai tries to suppress a chuckle.

* Jelarthna listens to everything with interest.

<Tyl> Well, *I* wouldn't... but if I were...

<Lion> ::to Lisl:: How about early tomorrow afternoon? Right now I'm just waiting to hear back from some initial inquiries I've made. And I'd appreciate any excuse to get our from under Goodie Bidall's smothering ministrations.

<Lion> You'd think I'd died and come back from beyond the way that woman carries on...::smiles::

<Tyl> I can think of lots of reasons to spy around here... the Hall seems to attract the stranger elements of town, and there are always people who hate strange things... trust me, I know

<Jelarthna> I almost have an urge to see that fight...

<Lisl> Embarrass? Me? You're the one who's *ticklish*, as I remember ::with a fiendish grin::

* Zoya sits up abruptly. "I think I just remembered a book in the library with a bit on mind-power."

<Jaret> ::to Tyl:: But the door's open! Why not just walk in?

* Bai chuckles despite himself.

<Jelarthna> ::to Tyl, looking thoughtful:: That's true. And there has been some more noticeable things going on recently...

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs:: What did you expect, if you've been gone this long, Lion? She's been having to build up her frustrations while you were gone, and I'm sure you've been anything but attentive, with all this investigation...

<Lisl> ::smiling:: You might as well have, Lion! And that time would be fine...

<Jelarthna> ::looks at Lisl:: Ticklish?

<Zoya> I want to go see if I can find it before I forget it...

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Lisl, half-worried:: You wouldn't dare, Lisl...

<Lisl> Yes, but the Hall's a fixture at this point, Tyl...they're *used* to weirdness, one would expect!

* Lion mutters something non-committal. "You should stop by the smithy, then, distract her. She's been asking after you for ages..." ::grins evilly::

<Tyl> ::looks at Jaret:: well, there are lots of reasons... one, if you were looking to, say for instance, kill Moon Dancer, would you really want to risk coming in here as yourself?

<Lisl> ::giving MD an "innocent", yellow-eyed gaze:: Wouldn't I?

<Zoya> ::hops down from her stool:: Good night, my friends! Tyl - I'll call on you later this week to talk about this device you want.

<Jelarthna> Zoya, mind if I come along? I'm thinking about taking the gnomes on a field trip...

<Lisl> [nonononono...it CAN'T end so soon...]

<Tyl> Ok! Bye Zoya.

<Bai> Goodnight Zoya.

<Tyl> Goodnight, Jelarthna...

<Tyl> ::sigh::

<Moon Dancer> ::groans:: I'm sure she has. And, I'm sure she'd entice me with a pie or Danish, or some such...

<Jelarthna> Goodnight everyone. See you soon!

<Zoya> Certainly. I'd enjoy the company. But a field trip?

<Moon Dancer> ::winks at Lisl:: You might. Try, at least...

* Lion chuckles. "Pastries as far as the eye can see."

<Jelarthna> Yeah. There are some things that just have to be experienced...

<Jelarthna> ::grins::

<Moon Dancer> ::to Jel:: Goodnight, Jelarthna! Walk safely!

<Lisl> Heh....like *you* need the extra food!

<Zoya> Good night, all!

<Zoya> ::exits, talking with Jel::

<Jelarthna> ::to MD:: I *try*, anyway. ::grin::

<Moon Dancer> ::to Z:: And the same to you, Zoya! Goodnight!

<Lisl> 'night, Jel! Sleep sweet! 'Night Zoya!

* Jelarthna walks out with Zoya

* Lion waves after the departing patrons.

<Lion> I finally get that, now.

<Jaret> ::stands:: I'm going to go scour the island and see if there are any who would dare plan some sort of dastardly fate for the Meade Hall! Wish me luck, friends!

* Lion smiles. "Waving, that is."

<Tyl> Happy scrubbing!

<Moon Dancer> ::looks at Lion:: Get what?

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs:: Oh. That.

<Lion> Good night, Jaret.

<Lisl> ::at the tail end of a fit of coughing:: Luck, Jaret, old friend!

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles:: It does seem kind of silly, doesn't it?

<Lion> A lot of things make more sense now. ::laughs::

* Tyl tosses Moon Dancer a silver coin

<Tyl> Good night all.

<Moon Dancer> Good evening, Milord Malkier! Well met again!

<Lisl> ::looks from Lion to MD and back, sure she's missed something::

<Moon Dancer> ::catches the coin, one-bounce off the bar:: Good night, Tyl!

<Bai> I'm going with Jaret. He needs someone to watch his back if he's going to any of those places. ::heads towards the door:: Lisl, I'll look you up sometime and you can tell me what you do know about Lini.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lisl:: What?

<Moon Dancer> Goodnight, Bai, and good luck finding that cursed elf!

<Lisl> ::takes advantage of MD's reaching out for the coin for a sudden dive-and-tickle across the counter::

<Moon Dancer> ::twists, turns and fights his way around Lisl:: Damn you, woman, I'll murder you if I can...

<Lisl> ::nods and waves a hand at Bai:: Hey, watch who you call cursed!

* Lion starts to wave after the newly departed but is dislodged from his seat by a flying Lisl.

<Moon Dancer> [LOL]

<Lisl> ::giggling fiendishly:: Ah, but you can't!

* Lion hops neatly over the bar and scruffs Lisl, one handed, hauling her off MD.

<Lion> Now, now, I'm I going to have to separate you too?

<Moon Dancer> ::catching his breath, MD smiles at Lion:: Escort her to the door, old friend. I'll catch up with you tomorrow, yes?

<Lisl> ::allows herself to be pulled off, grinning unrepentantly:: Toldja he was ticklish.

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lisl, absentmindedly:: Lisl, dear, where are you staying in Marsember?

<Moon Dancer> ::shoots Lisl a look:: Aye, and you'll pay for that one...

* Lion releases Lisl.

<Lisl> I can walk...I'll be good, really. ^_^

<Moon Dancer> ::to Lisl:: And I should believe you because... ?

<Lion> Tomorrow, Dancer. Want to come workout with Lisl and I?

<Lisl> Ah, I spent the last wretched *week* cleaning out my old apartments...I think the streetsweepers have been dumping all their excess dust there while we've been gone.

* Lion mutters under his breath, "Looks like you could use the exercise."

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles:: Now, that does sound like fun. Maybe I can even learn something from you, blacksmith...

<Lisl> Because I'm a good and honest person? ::shooting a grin at Lion as her sharp ears pick up his comment::

<Lion> Maybe. But you know what they say about old dogs and new tricks. ::winks::

<Lisl> Ah, that's alright then. We've been over this...he's a puppy.

<Moon Dancer> ::smiles at Lion:: I heard that. And I can pick on you now that you can't use your lack of sight as a crutch. ::this last is delivered with tongue firmly in cheek::

* Lion laughs, loudly.

<Lisl> ::swallows against her laughter::

<Moon Dancer> ::laughs at Lion:: Enough! Go, walk safely, friends, and I'll see you both tomorrow!

<Lion> Tomorrow it is, then. Seems like we're all primed for it.

<Moon Dancer> ::grinning like a Cheshire cat:: Indeed!

* Lion starts for the door, looking back to Lisl. "Coming?"

<Lisl> Indeed. Sleep sweet, old friend!

<Lisl> ::nodding:: On my way.

<Moon Dancer> ::pulls the key to the Hall out of his pocket, and walks the pair to the door:: Sleep well yourself, Lisl. It's good to have you back in Marsember...

* Lion holds the door for Lisl, sweeping a silly, exaggerated bow.

* Lisl follows Lion out the door and pauses to bow low to Lion, "No, you first, I insist."

<Lion> No, really, age before beauty. ::winks::

<Lisl> [whoops...]

<Lisl> Ah, well, I'm both...so...::sweeps grandly out the door::

* Lion laughs and follows.

* Lisl departs...the last MD hears is the short, happy bark of a dog from somewhere outside.

* Moon Dancer locks the front door, still smiling as he watches his friends walk out...
