* Rhys putters out of the back room and over to the door. He unlocks the door and opens it. "Hall's open." * Jelarthna saunters in smiling and moving both arms around somewhat vigorously. He hangs up his cloak and rolls up to the bar. <Jelarthna> Good evening, Rhys! <Jelarthna> How are you tonight? <Rhys> I'm fine, Jelarthna. It's good to see you in fine health. What can I get you? <Jelarthna> I'll have a big old mug of house ale tonight. * Rhys pours Jelarthna a mug of ale. "Here you are." <Jelarthna> Thank you, good sir. <Jelarthna> Has there been any word from Jaret? * Rhys blinks at Jelarthna. "No, I wasn't aware people were looking for word on him." <Maeli> ::The door opens, and the figure which hesitates at the threshold peers in cautiously. She appears to be a somewhat elderly woman - grey, thinning hair twisted carefully into a bun on the top of her head, shoulders stooped, and a large cloth handbag clutched close to her plump chest with arthritic hands. She peers with dim eyes around the room.:: <Jelarthna> Hmmm. He left rather abruptly a few weeks ago. I'm a little bit worried about him, but I also don't want to interfere in what seems like a personal quest. * Jelarthna sighs <Rhys> Good evening lady. My name is Rhys, can I get you anything? * Jelarthna smiles warmly to the newcomer. <Jelarthna> Good evening, m'lady. ::stands and bows:: <Jelarthna> ::then sits back down:: <Jelarthna> ::and sips some meade happily:: <Yb> ::A loud thud comes from the fireplace, where a young woman's legs can be seen, apparently having made it through before their owner got stuck.:: * Jelarthna looks at the fireplace. <Jelarthna> ::mutters:: why do I have a bad feeling about this? * Jelarthna quickly takes a larger sip of meade. * Rhys quirks his eyebrows at the chimney, sighs, and gestures at the chimney. * Jelarthna looks back at the fireplace, and takes another gulp for good measure. <Maeli> ::The old woman's gaze moves to Rhys, and she stares at him for a few seconds before she makes up her mind and enters the 'Hall. She takes a few uneven steps, then gathers her skirts with one hand and curtseys with a great deal of aged grace.:: Maeli, good gentlemen, and no lady to either of you. * Jelarthna jumps up and bows again. * Yb finally manages to work the rest of the way out of the fireplace. She's understandably disheveled at the moment. Her white blouse soiled with soot and grease, as is her knee length blue skirt and the matching kerchief around her collar. However the rip at the top of the right sleeve is surrounded by a large red stain. <Jelarthna> My name is Jelarthna. <Maeli> ::she walks slowly up to the bar and laboriously lifts her handbag to the stool in front of her. She opens it and begins rummaging within.:: How much, good sir ::to Rhys:: for a cup of hot mulled cider to warm an old woman's bones? * Jelarthna starts to mouth the word "run" to the newcomer, but stops midway. <Yb> Hi. Got anything for a parched throat? * Jelarthna quickly shuts his mouth. <Jelarthna> Um... Hello, Yb. * Rhys begins preparing some cider. "Newcomer's first drink is always on the house." <Maeli> ::begins to speak to Jel, but notices Yb:: Oh, you poor dear. Whatever happened to you? Come over here and let me look at that tear in your shirt. * Yb approaches the bar, attempting to straighten her appearance out, which is proving a bit difficult since she's still holding her staff. * Rhys finds the 'special' spoon, and gives it a couple spins through the cider before setting the mug down in front of Maeli. "Here you are. And don't mind the mugs, they're just a little frisky sometimes, it's nothing to worry about." * Yb smiles at Maeli and walks over to her. "It was pretty frightening. I was walking through the woods when I got attacked by this demon woman. She bit me there. I don't think it's too bad though. <Jelarthna> Demon woman? * Maeli looks up at Rhys with a scolding mouth and twinkling eye. "Don't think you can charm me with free drinks, you pup." She carefully lays a copper piece on the bar. * Yb reaches over to scratches the chin of Maeli's mug. <Yb> Well I'm not sure what else has fangs, insect shell for skin, and goes around trying to eat people. * Maeli begins rummaging in her bag again and comes up with a much smaller pouch, from which she removes a needle and a fine white thread. She begins threading the needle and looks up to see the rip in Yb's *arm*. * Jelarthna starts counting on his fingers, then shakes his head and ceases. * Rhys frowns slightly, although his eyes are sparkling. He picks up the copper pieces, and looks at it dubiously. He places it on his palm, and blows on it. It blows away, as if made of fine talcum powder. <Maeli> Oh, my goodness. Dearie, you need to be a bit more careful. I don't know if I've got... ::she fades to a mumble as she dips into her large bag again.:: * Jelarthna looks quizzical at Rhys. <Maeli> ::she comes up with a length of linen and goes to wind it around Yb's arm. She looks suspiciously up at Yb:: Child. When did you last wash this shirt? * Jelarthna finally notices Yb's wounds, sighs, and pulls a potion out of his pouch. <Yb> Two days ago. <Jelarthna> Here, drink this. ::offers the potion to Yb:: <Maeli> ::sternly:: And you haven't washed it since then? * Maeli tsks and turns back to her needle. "Very well. Hold still while I sew up the tear, and then I'll tell you how to get the stain out." <Yb> Well this is the first day I've worn it since then. <Maeli> [Maeli obviously thinks the blood on the sleeve was acquired the last time the shirt was worn] * Yb returns the bottle to Jelarthna. "Thank you Jelarthna, but I'm pretty sure I'm fine." <Jelarthna> If you're sure... <Yb> [Maeli will discover the blood's still damp when she goes to sew the shirt up.] <Yb> Reasonably. * Rhys gets a bowl of warm/hot water for Maeli to use in daubing Yb. * Jelarthna puts the potion away again and eyes Yb dubiously. <Jelarthna> Did you kill this demon woman thing? <Yb> I think so. * Maeli begins sewing, then looks up, frowning lightly, at Yb. "One of those, eh? Well, then." She continues sewing with no further comments. * Yb looks at Maeli, "One of those what?" * Jelarthna looks askance at Maeli <Jelarthna> What do you mean, "I think so,"? <Jelarthna> What did you do to it? * Maeli pulls sharply on Yb's sleeve. "Hold still, girl. I can't make it neat if you keep moving about." <Yb> Well, it kind of crumbled away into dust and got blown away on the wind. Except for it's bones. But I put those in the chimney. * Jelarthna takes another sip of meade. * Yb dutifully holds still. * Jelarthna looks at the chimney. * Rhys looks at the chimney and makes a rather obvious, but silent, mental note to himself. <Jelarthna> It's probably dead, then. <Jelarthna> ::to Rhys, motioning at the chimney:: Mind if I go get one of them now? I'd like to take a look at them. * Maeli leans very close to Yb's arm and bites off the thread. Then, inexplicably, she runs the needle along the entire length of the cut, pulling the thread all the way through. She runs a finger along the tear, tugs again at the cloth, and the tear seems to magically disappear. <Rhys> ::to Jelarthna:: As long as you're careful, I don't mind. Don't get stuck. <Jelarthna> I'll try not to. * Jelarthna glances at Maeli's work, obviously getting distracted. * Jelarthna shakes his head and walks over to the fireplace, then gets down and looks up inside. <Maeli> There, now. And if you'll listen to an old woman's advice on stains - use cold water, tonight, as soon as you get home. ::Another rummage in the bag produces a small wooden vial:: Mix this with some brandy or white wine and press it into the stains. Leave it sit overnight, and the stains should come free in the morning. But don't hang them by the fireplace. * Jelarthna moves a little up into the chimney. <Jelarthna> ::rummage, rummage:: * Maeli turns back to the bar and picks up her waiting cider with both hands and takes a careful sip. She sighs with pleasure and looks up at Rhys. "Very good, young man." She collects her bag over one arm and hobbles over to the fireplace with it and her cider. <Jelarthna> ::rummage, rummage:: * Rhys is obviously a little tickled by being called "young man" and "pup" * Yb inspects Maeli's work, then strikes the floor with her staff. There's a flash of light, which clears to reveal Yb, cleaned, in a black leather mini skirt and matching jacket and a white cotton t-shirt. <Jelarthna> ::rummage, tug, pull, shift:: <Maeli> ::lifts her quavering voice:: Young man! Young man! What *are* you doing in there? <Jelarthna> ::muffled:: looking for the skull * Yb sits at the bar. "Meade please." * Rhys pours Yb a mug of meade. <Maeli> ::frowns:: Well stop knocking soot all about! If you're going to play in the chimney, at least have some respect for the rest of us! <Jelarthna> ::tug, pull:: * Yb takes her meade and walks over to the fireplace where she pats Jel's rump before squatting next to the fireplace in an attempt to see what he's doing. "What you up to Jel?" * Jelarthna works his way back out of the fireplace, considerably sootier, and holding what looks like a human skull with fangs. * Rhys whispers quietly, and the short, blue, noseless, hairless humanoid comes out of the kitchen and looks at Rhys expectantly. "Go get the handbroom and the dustpan, and clean the soot up off the floor once Jelarthna finishes in the fireplace." <Jelarthna> umph! Getting this skull out of the chimney. * Jelarthna does a double take upon seeing Yb's clothes * Yb examines the skull. "I didn't know you were into that kind of thing Jel," she purrs out. * Jelarthna shakes his head again and examines the skull from his sitting position just inside the fireplace. <Jelarthna> Um. Sorta. * Maeli stares unhappily at the soot Jel is tracking all over the place, but cheers up considerably when the blue creature comes over and starts cleaning up. "Well... If I'd had me one of those..." <Rhys> ::the lert comes over with the broom and dustpan and patiently stands off to the side while Jelarthna and Yb chit-chat inside the fireplace:: <Maeli> ::she notices Yb's change of clothes and demeanor and frowns, her lips pursing:: * Yb bats her eyes at Jel, "Sorta?" <Jelarthna> Er. Yeah. ::stands and works his way over to the bar, eyeing Yb cautiously:: * Yb pats Jel's butt again. "Come on Jel, let them clean the place up." * Maeli seems to be about to speak, but frowns harder and takes a sip of her cider instead:: <Yb> Has anyone seen Moon Dancer? <Jelarthna> ::to Rhys:: I'm think I'm going to need another mug of meade. ::finishes the old one, and shooshes the mug over to Rhys:: <Rhys> ::the lert begins fastidiously sweeping up the soot in the fireplace, and starts cleaning the path of soot that Yb & Jelarthna left behind them as they walked to the bar:: <Jelarthna> Uh, not for a few weeks. * Rhys gets Jelarthna another mug of meade. <Jelarthna> ::grins ruefully to the lert:: sorry about that. * Yb pouts, "Probably off chasing after other women." * Jelarthna looks about to say something, then thinks better of drawing more attention to himself and sits quietly. * Rhys hikes himself up on his tip-toes to get a look at the skull Jelarthna is holding. * Jelarthna holds it out to Rhys <Jelarthna> ::lower than normal volume:: I don't recognize what it is. * Rhys pops a monocle in front of one of his eyes and peers at the skull. * Jelarthna glances back at Yb. * Maeli begins rummaging in her bag again. <Rhys> Hmph. Could have been a lot of things. <Maeli> ::At length, she retrieves a couple of long knitting needles trailing a shapeless mass of knitting and some finely spun brown yarn, and begins knitting.:: <Jelarthna> Yeah, that's the problem. <Jelarthna> The other ones looked pretty much human-like. <Rhys> ::to Maeli:: How's your cider? Does it need warming? * Yb puts her mug down on the bar, then a faint glow emanates from her staff. A moment later the mug is surrounded by the same glow (much to the mugs displeasure), then the meade gently spirals out of the mug and into the air. * Jelarthna leaves the skull with Rhys for the moment and walks over to Maeli (and incidentally away from the bar). <Jelarthna> Excuse me, but would you mind if I asked you something? ::eyes Yb nervously:: <Yb> ::The floating meade begins to wend its way around the room, taking on the shape of a dragon in flight as it does so.:: <Maeli> ::looks up at Jelarthna, still knitting apparently by feel alone:: What is it? <Jelarthna> What was it you did to Yb's shirt a little while ago? <Maeli> ::stops knitting and stares at Jel:: I mended it. <Jelarthna> Yes, but you did more than just sew it. Did you use a spell of some sort? * Jelarthna glances up at the flying meade dragon. <Maeli> Spell? ::chuckles:: Old Maeli's no mage, faerie-child. All I did was sew it. *Properly*. ::she picks up her knitting again:: <Jelarthna> Oh? Do you think you could show me how to do that? <Maeli> ::fixes Jel with a tight stare:: Practice. Year upon year upon year of practice. Small, tight, evenly-spaced stitches. Tuck the tail in, pull the cloth into shape when you're done. Practice. If you can thread a needle, then I've nothing more enlightening to teach. <Yb> ::The meade dragon circles back towards the bar, then commences a strafing run. Yb ducks out of its flight path only to watch it splatter to the floor a hands span from Rhys.:: <Jelarthna> ::smiles at Maeli:: Very well, thank you for the advice. <Yb> Now why didn't that work? * Rhys looks *quite* irritated. He goes to the kitchen, gets a mop and bucket, and starts to mop the floor. <Maeli> ::she seems to thaw slightly under Jel's smile:: How old are you, faerie-child? <Maeli> ::Notices the mess Yb made and tsks softly.:: Young folk these days... <Jelarthna> To be honest, I lost count somewhere along the way. Definitely over one hundred, though. * Yb stretches out on her side on the floor. Obviously in thought. <Jelarthna> I don't mean to be pushy or rude, I've just discovered a renewed interest in... ::chuckles:: everything, pretty much. * Yb seems lost in thought muttering conjectures under her breath. She's lightly tapping her glowing staff as well as both slowly rise up off the floor and begin to float around bar height. <Maeli> ::laughs softly and meets Jel's gaze with her icy blue eyes:: Barely old enough to be on your own. Still stumbling over your own feet half the time, like a puppy. Renewed interest, eh? Heh. Fallen in love, have you, puppy? ::she smiles mischievously. It's not hard to see, when she smiles, that she once must have been quite a charmer:: <Rhys> ::mop mop mop:: * Yb gets a dangerous glint in her eyes and floats up behind Jel wrapping her arms around his neck. "Everything Jel?" * Jelarthna looks at Yb, and seems to get a little lost in thought himself for a moment. He noticeably murmurs something about levitation and components. <Jelarthna> Er. Um. * Yb purrs, "I know all kinds of interesting things." <Maeli> ::Maeli can't seem to keep it in any longer. She shakes a finger at Yb:: Go on, girl. I was told this was a respectable tavern. You take your hussy ways someplace downriver! <Jelarthna> ::to Maeli, obviously distracted:: Kinda maybe. <Jelarthna> ::somewhat disturbed:: Why don't I doubt that? * Yb looks at Maeli, "Of course it's a respectable tavern. And what did I ever do to you to deserve being called a hussy?" * Maeli glares at Yb, looking pointedly at her arms still wound around Jel's neck. * Yb looks at her arms, looks back at Maeli, shrugs, and lowers her feet to the floor before letting go of Jel. "What's wrong with hugging a good friend. I haven't seen Jel in months." * Jelarthna seems to be trying to subtly work his way out of Yb's arm without her knowing. He's not making much progress, obviously because the noticing factor seems to be more important. * Jelarthna smiles weakly and pats Yb's arm. <Maeli> ::Hmphs, and shakes a knitting needle at her:: Just see that you behave. <Jelarthna> It's, uh... good to see you too, Yb. <Yb> Oh my. Dinner. ::Yb rushes towards the kitchen, pulling an apron out of her staff before dropping it to the floor in her haste to reach the kitchen. <Maeli> That girl needs a good thrashing. <Jelarthna> ::relaxes noticeably:: Whew. * Rhys tenses a little as Yb hurtles into the kitchen, but works on finishing mopping the floor. <Jelarthna> ::glances toward the kitchen and Yb's staff, then looks back at Maeli:: Well, the problem is that she's... a bit off kilter. And she's also quite a powerful mage. <Maeli> ::laughs again:: All mages are a bit off kilter. She could still use a trip or three to the woodshed. <Jelarthna> ::smiles again:: You're probably right on both counts. But she does have a keeper of sorts, at least someone who watches over her. He's a friend and I wouldn't presume to step on his toes. <Maeli> ::sniffs:: Not much of a keeper if he lets her run around like that. ::she waves one hand:: Ah, I'm old and set in my ways; never mind me. <Jelarthna> Well, he does try. <Jelarthna> So what prompted you to visit us here at the Meade Hall? * Tyl walks in, looking dusty and disheveled * Yb comes back out of the kitchen with a completed five course meal floating on tray towards the bar. "Who tries? Bai?" <Rhys> Good evening, lady. Can I get you anything? * Jelarthna looks up at the door. <Jelarthna> Hello, Tyl. <Jelarthna> ::to Yb:: yeah... * Tyl staggers up to the bar. <Tyl> Rum, please, with ice <Jelarthna> Are you okay? <Yb> Oh good. You're just in time for dinner. I wouldn't want all this food to go to waste. <Tyl> I'm fine. How's your arm? I've just been packing up my stuff * Yb goes and retrieves her staff. * Rhys finishes mopping the last of the meade off the floor and collects some ice from under the counter for Tyl's drink. He pours some rum in and hands her the glass. <Jelarthna> ::smiles:: It's all better now. Why are you packing, planning a trip? * Tyl drains the glass in one swallow <Maeli> I? I was walking by on my way home after visiting my granddaughter and her husband, and saw the light in the window, and thought that a warm cider would be just the thing for my old bones on a cold, damp night. <Tyl> <grin> I inherited a house. I'm getting ready to move in. <Rhys> You inherited a house? I'm sorry, were you close to the former occupant? <Jelarthna> ::to Maeli:: That's a refreshing normal reason. <Jelarthna> ::to Tyl:: Congratulations. Is it in town? <Tyl> Well, sort of. It was my father's father's house. I only knew him for a few decades or so. <Jelarthna> Did he pass away? * Yb approaches Tyl, "I'm afraid we've never met. I'm Yb." She offers Tyl her hand. * Tyl shakes Yb's hand <Tyl> Meetcha! <Yb> That's an unusual name. <Maeli> ::smiles, amused:: What usual reason do you generally hear? <Tyl> Oh, no... My name's Tyl. Meetcha is a phrase I picked up from some gutter child. <Jelarthna> ::to Maeli:: There is no usual reason, actually. This place seems to draw many kinds of people here, usually under strange circumstances. * Yb giggles, "That does make a bit more sense." <Maeli> Oh? And what drew you here, pup? <Tyl> Yb? I think I've heard about you. <Yb> Has Bai been talking again? ::Yb smiles merrily:: <Tyl> Actually, it was Moon Dancer, I believe, who first mentioned your name to me... <Jelarthna> ::thinks for a moment:: I'm not sure I remember. I think it had to do with the wanderlust and the loneliness I was going through at the time. <Maeli> ::leans over and pats Jel's hand:: Loneliness, I understand. That's not such an unusual reason to go to a tavern, either. <Jelarthna> It's not really a problem anymore. Most of the time. ::smiles:: It was nice to meet you, Maeli. I hope you stop by again sometime. <Maeli> Well, now, I just might. ::she smiles again:: You take care of yourself, boy, and whoever it is that's keeping you from being lonely anymore. ::her eyes twinkle again:: <Yb> ::Flames burst from the fireplace momentarily. When they subside Yb has vanished.:: <Jelarthna> Rest assured, I will. * Jelarthna stand up, walks over to the bar and sets down a small purse. <Maeli> ::starts as the fireplace explodes:: Goodness! <Jelarthna> I wonder where Yb went? <Jelarthna> ::shakes head:: never mind, I probably don't want to know. <Maeli> ::firmly, to no-one in particular:: Touched or not, that is one *rude* young lady. * Jelarthna collects his cloak. <Jelarthna> ::smiles:: Good night everyone. ::bows to each person in the room, and the fireplace just in case. <Rhys> Well met, Jelarthna. Good evening to you, too. <Jelarthna> Oh, yeah. ::gets the skull:: <Jelarthna> ::give a quick wave bye and walks outside:: * Tyl looks around <Tyl> Was it something I said? * Rhys grins at Tyl. "I don't think so. More rum?" <Tyl> Please <Tyl> I've been spending a lot of time today looking at stuff I didn't know I had. * Rhys pours Tyl another glass of rum. <Tyl> I was hoping Zoya would be here. I thought she might have a nifty packing spell or something. <Tyl> And even if it didn't work, at least my stuff would have gone up in a ball of green flames or something, and I wouldn't *have* to pack it <Maeli> ::chuckles:: Perhaps you have too much, then... If you did not even know it existed? <Tyl> Well, I'm sure it meant something to me at one time, but I've lived an awfully long life among the humans, and I've forgotten more than I though * Yohko enters through the front/side door and heads towards the bar. She's wearing baggy, undyed pants and shirt, and has obviously been working hard recently. "Got any juice back there Rhys?" <Rhys> Why... yes. Do you have a preference? * Yohko thinks, "Apple" * Yohko is oriental, with long black hair. She stands about 5'4". <Maeli> ::nods wisely:: Ah, such is the curse of the faerie-folk. Perhaps, if you really do not have a desire for these items, they might do good, given to a charity or temple? * Rhys pours Yohko a mug of apple juice. <Yohko> Thank you Rhys. ::Thirstily gulps down half the mug.:: * Yohko approaches Maeli, "Good evening ma'am. I'm afraid I've never seen you here before. My name is Yohko." She offers her hand to Maeli. * Maeli takes Yohko's hand gingerly in one of her gnarled hands. "Maeli, dearie. I've never been here before." * Yohko smiles brightly, "Well I hope you've had a pleasant evening and come back to see us some other evening." <Tyl> Hey, Rhys, have you seen Zoya? <Tyl> That woman is *never* around when I need her. <Maeli> ::smiles:: I'm sure I will. Aside from that tart that was in here earlier, everyone has been very nice. And the cider is quite good. ::She finishes her drink:: * Yohko drinks deeply from her mug before settling heavily into one of the comfy chairs before the fire. <Rhys> I'm afraid I haven't. Although you can visit the tower if you have a pressing need to find her. It more or less picked a spot outside the city walls and stuck there. Mostly. * Yohko raises an eyebrow, "Tart?" <Tyl> Um... <winces> I'm never too sure about that place. <Rhys> ::grins slightly:: That's why I said if it was a *pressing need*. <Maeli> ::waves her hand:: Some elf-mage more than half off her rocker. Clothes and manners like hers were better off in a bordello than this part of town. ::gets slightly huffy just thinking about it:: * Yohko finishes her drink, "I knew I shouldn't have sat down." Looks at the mug. "Think you can handle getting a refill for me?" The mug nods, so she sets it on the floor and it waddles towards the bar. <Maeli> ::looks startled at the animate stoneware:: <Tyl> Oh, I've seen worse... <grins to self> * Tyl looks around curiously * Rhys comes around to the front of the bar and scoops up the mug. He goes around to the back, refills it with some more apple juice, and walks it back to Yohko. "Here you are. Long day?" <Tyl> I never thought this was a nice part of town, actually... * Yohko notices Maeli's look, "As I've had the story explained to me, they used to have a bit of trouble with thieves, so they animated all the utensils so that they'd come back here if anyone walked off with them." <Tyl> Maybe I was spoiled, all those years living in Waterdeep. <Maeli> ::sniffs indignantly:: Well, it's certainly not the part of town for *that* sort of wench. <Yohko> Thank you Rhys. ::Takes the mug and drinks deeply:: I've been covering Jaret's classes ever since he left. I had forgotten how different fencing is from fighting. I keep having to stop myself from sweeping their legs out from under them. Though it would probably do a few of them some good. * Tyl gives Yohko a puzzled look <Tyl> What good is it teaching them to fight if you're fighting fairly? No one ever fights fairly in a real fight. * Yohko takes another long drink. <Yohko> True. But if you only teach them practicality they'll never be anything better than street brawlers. And they'll never learn anything of importance unless you teach it to them in a fair environment. <Tyl> <shrugs> I know some pretty tough street brawlers. <Tyl> <shrugs again> but then, I learned to fight on the street, by doing it, and while I don't suspect I'm a terrible fighter, I could be lots better. <Yohko> Most of whom will probably be defenseless once their bodies start to give out on them. Which usually doesn't take long the way street brawlers treat their bodies. Someone who knows good technique can defend themselves even when they're doubled over with age. <Tyl> You're probably right. <smiles> I need to go. I have to clear a path through my trunks so I can find my bed. * Rhys looks out the door at the night sky. "Last call." * Yohko chuckles lightly, "Been there, done that." * Tyl waves flamboyantly <Maeli> ::chuckles and mimes stabbing her knitting needle in Yohko's direction:: Wisdom indeed from one so young. <Tyl> G'evening all. I'll be back... * Yohko rises and drains her mug, then shoos it towards the kitchen. <Maeli> ::nods to Tyl:: Good night, Fair One. <Yohko> ::To Maeli:: Do you need an escort home ma'am, it is rather late? * Rhys picks up Tyl's glass and sends it back to the kitchen. <Maeli> ::cackles:: Nay, girl, though I do appreciate the offer. ::She begins to pull herself out of her chair:: My home is only a few blocks away, and I helped raise half the ruffians in the vicinity. They'll not lift a hand to me. * Yohko bows to Maeli, "Good evening to you then Maeli." * Yohko throws some coins on the bar, then heads towards the door. "Good evening Rhys." <Maeli> ::stuffs her knitting into her handbag and turns toward the bar:: Good night, sir. An excellent cider, I say. ::to Yohko:: Good night, girl. Care well for your charges. <Rhys> Good night, Yohko. * Maeli toddles out the door. * Rhys bows slightly to Maeli. * Rhys closes and locks the door. He then looks at the chimney. "I *think* there's some consecrated ground close by." |
