Plots: Zoya and the Tower
First "new" hall session. Moon Dancer asks about the whereabouts of Yb. Zoya and Aleksandr get reacquainted. Bai wonders where Lini might be. Zoya and Tyl discuss molecular manipulation and Zoya manages to set her finger on fire. Tyl makes arrangements to live at the Hall until she finds something else. Everyone introduced himself or herself.

Tilman doesn't know where all the taps are. There are some mechanical problems with the Hall because of disuse. S'ayad'i sings a bit, makes Kendal nervous because of her use of magic. The Hall plumbing has a bad case of "adding marshmallows to everything." Jaret has training sons of city families in fencing. Tilman comes close to having an accident with some mulekick.

Plots: Zoya and the Tower, Vampires After Tyl
Bai and Jaret talk about going out and pummeling unsavory people in the Pleasure Island district. Zoya begins her search for Erdian's Tower. Ruffians kidnaped Bai and Jaret. Tyl displays a blue surge ball she got from a local kender, Keyanna WillowWind. Moon Dancer freaks out because Yb had the Surge ball last. Zoya throws the ball to Moon Dancer, who goes Werewolfy in the middle of the Hall. Tyl mentions that she has a Vampire problem. Tyl, Zoya, and Moon Dancer discuss the surge ball where none of them are talking about the same thing. Tyl gets a bit drunk. Moon Dancer manages to keep hold of the surge ball when everyone leaves.

Plots: Zoya and the Tower
Zoya complains about having to talk to kenders. Tyl brings a cola onto the Hall, which gives Zoya the hiccups. Zoya tries to cure the hiccups magically, which result in her having bubbles coming out of her mouth. She gets more problems, such as burping up winged serpents. Philister enjoys a cigar. Tyl and Grigoriy flirt with each other. Philister gets a bad case of the hiccups too. Philister admits to seeing the Tower. He gives Zoya a map where he last saw the tower. Tyl and Grigoriy go home together.

Lion returns to the Hall after a long absence. Lion talks about a commission he got from a mage. Felis and Jaret talk about the pirates who kidnapped Jaret and Bai. (see June 1, 1998) Bai and Moon Dancer talk about Yb's whereabouts. Chaytal and Grigoriy talk about Tyl. Moon Dancer and Lion talk about Mum Tander and her pies. Jaret talks about how he ended up in Marsember, a mage cast a spell on him which cast him out of his own world. Lion, Jaret and Moon Dancer discuss a trip to Arabella. Chaytal and Jaret discover they are from the same place. On the down side, they discover they were on different sides in a recent war. Jaret and Chaytal get into an argument. Rath discusses Cabalists.

Plots: Zoya and the Tower
Zoya gets a magical device from Lion to help her track down the Tower. Grigoriy is investigating some thieving in the chapel of Lathander. Tyl shows up for a quick drink, then leaves again. Zoya spends some time investigating the Hall fireplace, looking for a clue to find the Tower, resulting in a long argument about whether or not Zoya can remove a rock from the chimney. Zoya decides to wait one week for Moon Dancer's approval, then remove the stone.

Plots: Zoya and the Tower
Yb comes on, and as usual, makes all the Patrons especially nervous. She's dressed as a child and thinks Jaret is her "uncle". Zoya's device fails to detect the magic rock that was in the chimney last week (see Flamerule 20). Yb spends a while bouncing around, then decides she's a kitty cat. Eventually she decides she's intelligent and rational and spends even more time making people nervous. Moon Dancer explains some of Yb's history to Zoya. Yb tries matchmaking with some of the Hall patrons, asks about Bai, and generally continues to make a ruckus.

Adam is still having problems telling one tap from another. Much discussion of the Hall taps and drinks ensues as no one gets the drink they actually ordered. Jelarthna discusses his recent troubles with the Dragons. Jelarthna gets a bad case of the hiccups.

Plots: Zoya and the Tower
Zoya has a white streak in her purple hair. Jaret is in mourning for the death of one of his students. Yb lost her marble. Jelarthna still has the hiccups (see Elasias 3). Drach gives Jelarthna a good scare to get him over his hiccups and Jaret attempts to teach Yb to fence. Zoya mentions that Adam took the rock from the chimney (see Flamerule 20) which is why she couldn't find it later. Drach admits to having seen The Tower before. Moon Dancer attempts to explain how he came to be running the Hall and Drach tells Zoya a little about The Tower. Drach attempts to talk Zoya out of looking for the Tower.

The white stripe in Zoya's hair is wider. Jelarthna talks about being thrown from his horse. Zoya's faerie dragon has a beer. Some unknown thing spooked Jelarthna’s horse. Zoya and Jelarthna discuss the benefits and drawbacks of familiars. Zoya and Jelarthna decide to investigate the area where Jelarthna's horse spooked.

Michelle comes onto the Hall for the first time. She explains a little of her history, of world jumping to places where she is needed. Lion comes in, complaining of having a bit of the blues. Lion and Michelle have a conversation where Lion attempts to figure out why Michelle is so familiar. After the Patrons leave, Sealgair comes back through magical means. He mentions that a promise is a promise.

Moon Dancer comes in alone, thinking complaints about the paperwork for the Hall, when he notices that Sealgair's longswords are missing. Moon Dancer gets furious, suspects Rhys of stealing, and generally has a fit.

Plots: Return of Sealgair
Tilman cleans up the mess from Moon Dancer's fit. Cean comes onto the Hall, but doesn't recognize anyone. Cean fixes the damage Moon Dancer did, but still seems to have no idea how or why. Tilman has some problems with frozen mugs and a device called a Coolerator. Cean varies back and forth from knowing who he is and who other people are and not knowing.

Plots: An Old Friend, Zoya and the Tower
Zoya comes in to the Hall in a panic. Jelarthna's enemy has captured Jelarthna and Zoya comes to the Hall for help. Just as everyone is ready to rush out to Jelarthna's rescue, he staggers into the Hall, covered in blood. Jaret fights with a demon that followed Jelarthna to the Hall. Alranis comes in after the excitement, looking a bit nervous. Jelarthna is pretty badly wounded, including a broken arm. Jaret gets delirious from his demon wound. Adam lances the wound to get at the poison, which makes Zoya a little ill. Somehow, the brick from the Tower (see Flamerule 20) was warped by Jelarthna's enemy, creating a pocket plane with its help, which is why Zoya's device malfunctioned. Jelarthna expressed concern about Zoya's safety now that his enemy knows she helped him and gives her a locket, so he can keep an eye on her. Zoya has an offer for Alranis, and he walks her home.

Plots: Return of Sealgair, Zoya and the Tower
Sealgair still doesn't have his memories, which makes Jelarthna quite upset. Zoya tries to convince Alranis to do a job for her. Sealgair remembers Erdian's name, gets upset. Sealgair looks at one of Zoya's rocks from Erdian's Tower and turns it into a yellow sphere with glyphs. Sealgair gets tired and goes to bed, disappearing up the stairs. Alranis palms the yellow sphere from Zoya as proof of his thiefly abilities. Zoya drops the ball when he returns it, causing feathers to rain down in the Hall. Zoya experiments with the ball, then leaves the Hall.

Plots: Zoya and the Tower, Return of Sealgair
The white streak in Zoya's hair is wider again. The 'lert makes its first appearance, helping Rhys to carry bread. Sealgair materializes and comes down to the common room. S'ayad'i comes in, bleeding. She's been in a fight, no big deal. Sealgair reveals that he's at the Hall for a reason, to help a man. To fulfill a promise, and then to be left in peace. When Bai pushes the issue, Sealgair summons one of his long swords, getting really angry. Sealgair attempts to destroy a door with his sword and can't touch it, finally collapsing in exhaustion. Sealgair goes back upstairs, vanishing from sight on the third step.

Plots: Return of Sealgair
S'ayad'i attempts to convince Moon Dancer that Sealgair is back. Moon Dancer doesn't believe her. Jaret shows some interest in Michelle. Moon Dancer rants at S'ayad'i for a while. Eventually he is dubious, but convinced that S'ayad'i isn't lying to him. Sealgair finally comes downstairs, putting an end to that discussion. Moon Dancer and Sealgair exchange some conversation. There is an impressive display of light and magic. Somehow, the entire group appears to be transported to Moon Dancer's world for a brief span of time, then Sealgair disappears and everyone returns to the Hall. Sealgair's long swords drop out of nothingness, landing on the floor with a dull clatter. They are dull, black, and lifeless. Moon Dancer gets depressed and confused, then Lion comes in, wondering what was going on. Moon Dancer suddenly forgets what happened, making Michelle very angry. Moon Dancer is oblivious, and the rest of the Patrons leave, somewhat soberly.

Plots: Zoya and the Tower, An Old Friend
Drach attempts to find a blue liquor for Zoya. Jelarthna, Bai and Drach talk about Sealgair. Jelarthna explains that his arm won't heal, even with a priest looking at it. Lion comes in and explains to everyone that Sealgair is gone. Lion announces that he is leaving on a trip of family business soon. Jelarthna gets a random drink from Drach, which causes him to breathe fire for a while. Philister and Jelarthna have a Moonshaen whiskey and Philister falls down. Alranis and Zoya plan to go tower hunting.

Alranis reports that Zoya finally found the Tower. Lion comes in, looking for Moon Dancer. Lion has been invited to return with his master's remains to be reburied in the temple at Shou Lung. (Lion's master was accused of murder and expelled. Later, someone else confessed)

Alranis discusses Zoya's finding the Tower. Zoya's hair turned completely white, with one lock of purple, when she became Mistress of the Tower. Bai becomes upset by the idea of Zoya becoming another Yb. Zoya comes in, rather excited. She announces her ordainment to the priesthood of Erdian. The Patrons discuss the ramifications of a religion of Erdian. Rhys examines Jelarthna's arm. Rhys puts two tattoo-like bands on Jelarthna's arm to stop the spread of whatever is wrong with his arm.

Jelarthna staggers in, his arm is black between the two bands Rhys set. Michelle, already drunk to start with, falls off her stool. Jelarthna's enemy (see Eleint 14, 1398) apparently did something nasty to Jelarthna's arm when he broke it. Zoya performs a complicated spell to teleport part of Jelarthna's arm to the Tower, where hopefully Erdian will do something about it. The Patrons discuss ways to track Jelarthna's Enemy. Michelle and Moon Dancer perform a complicated spell to "see" the magical auras affecting his arm. The Patrons agree to try and track down the Enemy and split up for the night.

Plots: An Old Friend, Vampires After Tyl
Jelarthna's arm is no worse than last week. Rhys explains the Lert to everyone. Jelarthna asked Rhys what Rhys did to Jelarthna's arm (see Marpenoth 26, 1398). Rhys gets a bit pissed off when he discovers what's happened to Jelarthna's arm. Rhys gets into battle gear, making everyone a little nervous. He storms out of the Hall. Jaret comes in a short time later. Jelarthna plans on leaving to see someone. Tyl staggers in, her hair very short with a nasty burn on one side of her face. Tyl mocks Moon Dancer a bit, who is trying to keep his true nature secret by making veiled references to it. Tyl admits to being hunted by vampires. Tyl gives Zoya a magic ring to identify for her.

Michelle is tending bar because Rhys ran off and Moon Dancer is chasing after Rhys. Tyl has some coinage and bills from Michelle's Earth. Tyl has several artifacts from Michelle's world, including a gun and a condom. Michelle talks about Earth, explaining about the various items.

Plots: An Old Friend
The Patrons stagger in, disheveled and wounded. Jaret's sword is ruined. Jelarthna comes in and is shocked at the condition of his friends. Moon Dancer admits to being a werewolf. Jelarthna has gotten some information about what's happened to his arm, but can't tell anyone about it. Moon Dancer gets really mad about the secrecy. Moon Dancer and Jaret talk about what Sealgair did for Moon Dancer (See Who Is Cean Sealgair), while Jelarthna explains that the evil god Cyric is involved in Jelarthna's problems. Everyone recovers his or her wits and they split up, planning to get back together the next day to attack the Enemy.

Plots: An Old Friend
The Patrons limp in again, looking slightly better than last time. A huge stranger comes in. The stranger is arrogant and demands to see Jelarthna immediately. The Patrons are reluctant to let him do so. They will not let Xarroch see Jelarthna, so he goes into full demon mode. Zoya recognizes him from a mind-meld with Jelarthna and the Patrons barely relax. Xarroch explains what has happened to Jelarthna's other friends. Jelarthna explains to the Patrons that Xarroch is a renegade demon, who has been rescuing good beings from death in the Blood Wars. Xarroch helps heal Jelarthna's wounds from the fight with his Enemy (no, you won't find that story here... Ashby hasn't written it yet!) Michelle explains about her life and her many personas residing in the one being. Everyone has a bit of a shock, then makes friendly with Michelle before wandering off for the night.
