S'ayad'i was once a HallMaster, but she took an indefinate leave of absence to settle some family matters. Now, business settled, she has returned to Marsember and taken up residence once again at the Dragon's Den. The daughter of a noble father and commoner mother, S'ayad'i ran away from home at the tender age of seventy-five and was adopted into a mercenary company as a sort of messenger, nurse, morale officer, and mascot. Approximately fifteen years later, travelling through the city of her birth, she met her father for the first time, and she left the company to stay with him. Reacting to her beautiful voice and the dreams of her lifetime, her father sent her to a bardic college. When she began her Journeyman travels, he gifted her with a magical blade that had been his in his youth. S'ayad'i was nearly a Master Bard when the Times of Trouble began in the Forgotten Realms. The strange and unpredictable magic of those Times caused the sword Eldarin to fully awaken, tripling in power in answer to the need of a god. S'ayad'i spent nearly a year travelling with the god Milil - the god of music himself tied the white band of the Master Bard around her arm. In fact, Milil was so enchanted by her voice that he offered her a place of prominence in his own priesthood. She refused, however, and Milil gifted her with a silver tiara set with a green gem before they parted ways. S'ayad'i still wears the tiara, along with a beautifully-wrought holy symbol of Milil pinned to her cloak. During her tenure as a HallMaster, S'ayad'i met and fell in love with the Marsember Marshal of the Guard, Felis Strongarm. |
