Vital StatisticsBoris, who insists his friends call him Lion, is average size and well built. He recently cut his mane of long blond hair to a length more practical for working in the forge. His rough, tanned complexion has softened a little in the last year or so. His most distinctive feature is the Harper blue blindfold he is never seen without. Having been blind from birth, he still gets on as well as any sighted man. Lion was born in Marsember, an orphan. He was adopted at a young age by a mendicant Monk from the East who raised him as a son and taught him the physical disciplines of his order, as a means of defending himself against the childhood bullies who plagued him and to help him overcome his lack of sight. At twelve, Boris apprenticed to a local blacksmith after the Monk passed away. The almost supernatural quality of his remaining senses aided him in quickly mastering his new profession. At eighteen he had finished his masterwork and left his master's hall, looking to establish himself. A few years back, with the help of the Hall's original proprietor and friends he was able to open his own forge. Since he has expanded and has graduated a few classes of journey men already. |
