Lini'leah is a 131 year old dark eleven woman with jet black skin and lavender eyes. Her hair is silver and is most often tied back in a long braid. She wears black breeches and a black shirt with boots and gloves for daily life, but can be found in brighter colors or even a dress (rarely) in the Hall. A Hall mug also accompanies Lini in her travels. During a period of wild magic in the Hall, one of the mugs climbed in her bag to hide. It has been her companion ever since. Lini was born as the second daughter of the non-ruling generation of the family Daermon N'a'shezbaernon. Her mother is a well placed priestess of Lolth and her father is long since dead. Lini's wanderlust for the surface world comes from her grandmother, SiNafay, who was a follower of the goddess Eilistraee. Her grandmother's yearning for a life on the surface world ended abruptly when she was attacked by a grey eleven scouting party on the evening of her first High Hunt. This resulted in SiNafay bearing a half Drow bastard child who was only allowed to live because of SiNafay's relation to the Matriarch and the child's good fortune of being born a girl child. Lini's sword once belonged to her grandfather and entered the family when SiNafay used it to kill him after her attack. Oddly, the sword is a family heirloom in Lisl's family as well. The sword has been passed down through the line to Lini and has acquired some "personality" of its own over the years. Lini'leah was in training to be a priestess of Lolth when she escaped to the surface world and began a life in Waterdeep. She is currently a follower of Vhaeraun, the Drow god of thievery. While Vhaeraun and Lini do not seem to agree on all issues (his views on good and evil bother her and her reluctant acceptance of the equality of the sexes disturbs him) Lini seems to be in good favor with her god. In fact, she has acquired on of his traits. *Her eyes change hue with her mood. Some old friends refer to this as an alert system. Overall, Lini is a loner who has only found companionship in the Hall. She is very protective of her friends and will do anything for them. At this time the only people she knows well enough to trust are Lisl, Bai, and Jaret. Note: She knows Yb well also, but trust her, are you insane! |
